I have a seriously catty one - but, what can I say?
I have a Sister - who is 2 years younger than I am and who was always the "cute/fit" sister in high school. Upon finding out that I was going to the prom, when she had to stay home due to chicken pox - she wailed out, in utter anguish - "My Fat Ugly Sister has a date for the prom, and I can't go!" It was high drama all round at the time.
The "Fat Ugly Sister" thing stung - and badly. I had always been the fat sister - and I carried that mental label in my head throughout most of my life. Fast forward 35 years.
I have spent the last 4 years on calorie restriction, getting into the best physical condition of my life. I am about the same weight/size that I was in high school. She has spent the last few decades sitting in front of the TV eating chips and ice cream. I haven't seen her in years - but, I am going to visit in July.
My Mini Goal is to lose even more pounds before I go. I would very much love to be down to a size 10 by then...
Catty? Oh yeah. Motivating? 100%

I've been catching up on all of the posts. So far I'm only on page 70 lol. I started posting in here in early 2016 and lost 55 pounds. The mini goals are so motivating! The last year I totally fell off the wagon and gained about 25 of it back. Since the beginning of February, I've been back on track and have lost a little over 8 pounds this month (woot!)
Today's weigh in was 202.4. So my first mini goal is to get to under 200! I have to smash that one! I feel like such a failure that I got back into the 2's. Once I get to onederland, I don't plan on EVER leaving again.
I like to do my mini goals in 5 lb chunks and also by milestone, so the next mini goal after that is to get to 195 and after that is to get to 192.4, which will be 20 lb down from what I weighed on Jan. 12.
Also, I can tell you from first hand experience, the best way to keep the weight off is weigh-ins and logging food! I got away from logging food when I got to 180 in 2016. Once I stopped logging, I stopped losing. I was still was weighing in and was able to maintain within a couple of pounds, but I never got below 180 and I know it's because I stopped paying attention to my CI/CO. Once my weight started creeping up, I also started ditching the scale and was only weighing in once every month or so. Guess what? Every month the scale went up, up up. I know that logging and weighing every day works for me and I'm not going to screw it up this time!
Now back to page 70 to read all these awesome mini goals!8 -
I have two mini goals - one is to get under 170. I’m currently sitting at 171.2 - and have been for nearly a week. This is actually intentional -this is the first time since mid-December that I intentionally decided to eat closer to maintenance to see how it feels.
My second mini goal is to improve my squats and start using the bar at the squat rack. Please be kind - I’ve lived my entire life with knee issues and until now I’ve used mostly machines for lower body workouts -they’ve always felt safer. Trying to remedy that.7 -
Drop below 270 and 30 second planks.4

My husband moved back to Texas almost 2 weeks ago. We will be joining him once we sell our house in Missouri. My goal is to loose a noticeable amount of weight before I see him again. I want to surprise him with the difference! Other than that, my next mini goal is to get back to 263 which is what I weighed after having my son 6 years ago.8

@IremiaRe catty or no I support you in this endeavour In fact, your post reminds me of one of my own from last spring (except about my mom) that I had to preface with the label "Bitterness alert!" So, your sister at the time was, what, like 15 or 16? Maybe she outgrew that kind of nonsense emotionally by now, but if not then here's hoping she 'outgrew' you physically in the meantime!
By the way, do you have any sense of her size that is helping you to anticipate what you'll find when you see her for the first time in all these years (e.g., following her on social media, family gossip, etc.)?1 -

In a sense, she has outgrown it... "Fat Ugly Sister" a joke between us, now. And I know what I will see when I arrive. She outweighs me at my highest - she says she is "under 400, now" which means that at some point she was over it. I have tried to motivate her - thinking that, if nothing else, our life-long competition might inspire her to do something - but, she has every excuse ever made for why she can't do any exercise - although she swears she is eating on calorie restriction and is completely baffled as to why she isn't losing any weight. Since she is not always in close touch with reality, I have to think that she is either not using any measuring system - or she is completely lying to herself. Regardless, catty though it is, I still want to be a size ten by July. I am so not a good person. lol.9 -
California and Vegas at the end of next month!!!!4

To get back to my original starting weight from the first time I started tracking weight and "swore to lose weight" 10 years ago..... I lost 5Kg that time, but quickly found it again and then some. I've put on weight every year since then.... I'm just over 2Kg away from that goal now.
I feel like I'm finally in the zone, I have managed to remove 10kg of unwanted weight from my body since November 😁
After that, my next mini goal is my lightest weight as an adult. That would be the 5Kg less than my original starting weight that I had lost.6 -
I need to fit into my Dirndlkleid (our traditional costume here) by Mid-May; this means about 5 kg have to come off; And before that, there is still the novel I have been promising myself to read only after I am under 85 kg. It has been 4 years or so... And I very much need new underwear - actually I do have new underwear, but I don't fit in and I don't want to buy any in my now-size. And I want a new bikini and not feel horrible wearing it. And I want to feel healthy and pretty. And there is a health check coming up sometime before summer, where last year I was told I should at least lose 9 kg, then some of my health risks would be massively reduced. Not sure whether that will work out in time but I want to get close at least. And I need to start doing sports, that is a real weakness at the moment, but as I am trying to get more sleep in (I set a timer to go to bed...) I hope that I feel more energy for sports? Let's see... so many reasons and goals!6

Currently, I'm living in Japan and in the last week of April through the first week of May is Golden Week. It's basically a week or so long vacation for the majority of people in Japan.
I'm going to be travelling around the country during this time with a couple of friends and we may be able to go swimming. Regardless, I would like to be feel better about myself by then and enjoy that trip to the max.8 -
Current mini goal- have a full week of eating well until Saturday when I enjoy me some Buffalo Wild Wings watching the fights with my bf so far so good!6
