Lose 5lbs + in March 2019

I don't feel honest about starting this challenge on March 1. Why? Two reasons.
First, I ended the February challenge on the last day of that month, so if I stick to a weekly weigh-in schedule, I'd weigh a day earlier than the challenge dates. That's actually no big deal; I think for the past months I just reset my weigh-in day. No real problem, and in fact it's kind of fun to report on different days of the week each month.
Second, and more importantly, my weight was up almost a pound on March 1 from February 28. It might make it LOOK like a larger loss than I actually experience in March since it was just a fluctuation. I was up 2.2 pounds on March 4 over February 24. March 2 was even worse, but again; it's just a fluctuation. I do report my ten-day average weight, so maybe that would help make it ok, but I don't want to overstate my loss. I've been losing and gaining the same two to three pounds for a while, so with that in mind it doesn't really even matter. Hmmm..... Maybe I'll go ahead and switch it up again and just switch up to Friday weigh-in for March and stick to the plan.

Total loss for February: Scale says 2.6 pounds; ten-day average says only 1.6
Total loss for March: Scale says I was UP almost a pound in a day. Ten day average actually says I'm down a third of a pound in that same day. <shrug>.
I'm still a couple pounds over my ultimate goal. I am about ready to revise the goal since I've been maintaining very well at this level that actually is below the goal I set initially when I joined MFP.

Last month pretty much stayed a constant weight, now there is 6ish weeks till head on holiday ahh!

It might make it LOOK like a larger loss than I actually experience in March since it was just a fluctuation.
The fluctuations are just part of the journey. An average loss of 2lb per week may look like 3.2lbs, 0.8lbs, 2.0lbs, 1.4lbs, 0.6lbs, etc. If it makes you feel more “honest”, you can include previous months’ losses at the top of this month’s grouping. Over time it’ll clearly show those fluctuations.5 -

This is what I was thinking. I didn't want to "claim" a larger loss for February if it was based on starting at a high. So I've added both values, and it's all good. It's a very supportive group. If I look back at the last three months, I can see that I am, in fact, going the right direction!

I will continue to weigh daily throughout March. It usually keeps me accountable from having that second helping, knowing that I will be weighing in the morning. I also like to look for trends, so daily weighing.

February 28 - 174.8 - burned off mega calories yesterday too, but still up in weight this morning. Low on sleep.
March 01 - 174.3 - I hope for March to be better than February.
March 02 - 173.7 - Unbelievable, I was so disappointed with February, being so diligent about burning lots of calories, eating carefully, and barely losing weight - that last night I had (in defiance) a giant steak, corn, sour cream, potatoes etc., way over my calorie allotment. I truly expected to see a gain this morning.
March 03 - 174.3 - So the steak dinner from Friday shows up?
March 04 - 173.9 - skating yesterday

NSV Report!!!
In June 2017, I had to go dress shopping. I was so unhappy about buying a Size 14 dress and being 5 feet tall. I saw pictures and I did not like the way I looked. Ugh. Now, I was not looking forward to going again this past weekend. I thought: I've only lost 6 lbs. I should be a size 12. To my surprise, I tried on size 10 and it fits!!! (Granted, I'm still going to buy shapewear because I carry my weight around my stomach - I'll take wins where I can get them lol.) I'm ecstatic because going to the gym consistently 2 to 4 times a week has paid off and my fiance and I are not done yet.

So last month I had a water, sodium, TOM, and whatever else gain of 6.4 pounds at the end. So I am starting this month very high. I should lose a large portion of it in the next week or so. I started February out at 148.5, ended it at 154.9. Would like to end March at 145. That has been and is my goal right now. I really lost focus when I was so close to reaching my goal last month. I was only a couple of pounds away and just kind of lost the desire to lose anymore. I am thinking of switching it to 140 so that I have that extra cushion for those weeks I am just not feeling the motivation.
3/1 - 154.9 super high TOM, sodium, alcohol, and whatever else. Should go down fairly quickly
