Where to start...

Hi! I’ve never really followed a proper fitness regime before - currently the only excercise I get is walking the dog every day. I guess you could describe me as ‘skinny fat’ - slim but out of shape. I weigh around 10 stone and I’m 5’6.
My aim is is not to lose weight but to look better out of clothes. I THINK I need to concentrate on a proper strength training routine to ‘firm things up’ but I honestly don’t know where to start as a beginner? Any advice for something simple I could do to start off?

bodyweight training at home is a good idea. 3 - 4 times a week ...try doing arms (push) 1 day, arms pull (another) legs another, adominal/back. try doing 3-4 sets of 3-4 exercises each of the 4 days. do warm up exercises and cool down exercises incorporating some stretching, this willl increase your supplity and help remove soem of the lactic acid build up.. loads of information out there , research research research. get some tunes on and have fun1

I found fitness bootcamps to be a great place to start. Most will have all skill levels and if you get in a good group it is very motivating. It sounds like weight is not a problem for you just fitness. Those bootcamps have different workouts every session so you get all around fitness not just concentrating on one area.0
