I’m just wondering what ideas people have for satisfying end of day hunger after you have whittled away most of your calorie allotment. Lately i have been enjoying 1 tbl natural peanut butter mixed with Oikos 0% vanilla greek yogurt and 1/4 cup Bran Buds. It’s around 300 calories and satisfying. Sometimes I’ll have Cheerios with almond milk. Hoping to get more ideas. Thanks!

Pistachio's...about 2 hours before bedtime...last food of the day, and it helps with sleep.

Toothpaste kills my appetite. Nothing really tastes good after brushing your teeth!18

I eat a frozen juice tube for 34 calories.2

I sometimes have sugar free jello or I agree with brushing my teeth helps . Sometimes a nice herbal tea does the trick4

Air popped popcorn is alright or I’ve been experimenting with low calorie frozen desserts ie cool way or so soya frozen dessert but not very filling if your actually hungry. I also find sparkling water helps.3

I usually save calories for after dinner but if it's just one of those days and I am really hungry either a small bowl of cottage cheese, cocktail shrimp, turkey and cheese rolls or some other lower calorie protein.
If I just want to snack and I don't have many calories, maybe a few pickles,
cucumbers and hot sauce, a pudding cup, a few strips of beef jerky or a chunk of pure (baker's) chocolate.4 -
I eat enough calories for dinner.11

For the I really shouldn’t eat but I’m hungry:
Sardines
Unsalted nuts
A spoonful of olive oil
Protein powder in water
Usually something that isn’t going to be a treat food, but something with fat or protein that I have to be hungry to want.5 -
I usually plan for an apple or other piece of fruit in the evenings. Or some cheese. Or both.5

Skinny girl microwaveable popcorn (160 calories), a twix/Snickers ice cream bar (160-180 calories) or simply drink flavored water3

Air popped popcorn. White cheddar by smart food popcorn. It’s 3 1/2 cups of popcorn for like a little over 100 calories or breyers fudge bars ice cream. For one it’s only 70 calories.5 -
I eat two dinners most days. One around 4-430 and the other around 930-10. So I don't feel any need to snack after that.6

This is a good idea but do you really eat a spoon full of olive oil?? I know that has to be god awful.6 -
I will say that when I do feel like a snack, 2% cottage cheese with some cinnamon is a good choice. 90 calories for a half cup serving.4

Things that help me: carrots (because they take time to chew and sit in my stomach like little shards), Herbal tea, brushing teeth.2

I like olive oil - but a 120 calorie spoonful of the stuff doesn't even touch the sides of my stomach so would be completely useless as a hunger-curbing thing. Now, if it was with bread and balsamic vinegar... yuuuuummmmm!!
sardines are good tho!3 -
I eat nothing. Sounds odd but with me if I eat something it just opens to door for over eating. So I eat nothing. Just some carbonated water with a little shot of lemon and vinegar for taste. I find the cravings pass in 5-10 mins. Has done wonders for my weight loss.7

I can see eating it with bread or something but just a spoonful of olive oil makes me cringe lol. But I’ve never eating just a spoon full of olive oil so I can’t speak about it but I know that I use it for cooking but I can’t stand the smell of just the olive oil.2 -

I eat enough at dinner to not be hungry for the rest of the night. I've never been an evening snacker.3

same, it's my biggest meal and cookie butter is usually involved.1 -
I try very hard not to eat past 7pm. I'll drink ice cold water or Gatorade to feel full. I'm never HUNGRY but definitely the type that eats out of boredom.5

A huge glass of hot unsweetened peppermint tea works wonders for me.2
-
Sometimes I'll eat a bigger dinner so I don't get hungry later.
I eat Halo Top quite a bit. I also like popcorn.3 -
Mint tea. If that doesn't do the trick, 150g of fresh pineapple covered in cinnamon and chilli powder, then grilled. Personally I find not having easy snacky foods in the house makes it easier to adhere to my calorie goals. I get very snacky at night, even when my hunger is totally sated.3

I used to be a bad evening snacker. It was the hardest part of changing my way of eating. Basically I keep some relatively low-calorie snack foods around and work them into my daily calorie goal. Keep some cookies around (home made 100 cal each), some ice cream bars(70 or 100 each). Its what's working for me. Basically I just push my after dinner dessert an hour or two later and have that as my snack. Much better than pulling a tub of ice cream out or a whole bag of chips.3

I save calories for this exact reason. I eat roughly (2) 1,000 calories meals later in the day. One at about noon and then a second at about 5:00pm.1
-
I eat dinner late (because of my schedule), and am never hungry after dinner. It's not usually a huge meal, typically the size of lunch.1

I'm at the point in my weight loss (I've lost 45 pounds) where my body just knows we don't eat after dinner. However, if I feel like I'm absolutely going to die unless I eat something, I'll have some fruit.2
-
Whatever I want as long as it fits into my calories for the day. I don't usually get hungry after dinner.2
