What is your "Petty" Reason to Lose Weight?

To look good naked!
Seriously, to feel better and have more energy8 -
My petty reason is that I want to be the hot wife/friend for once.10

To be able to wear a strapless bra without bulges under the arms.13
-
Summer dresses13

I’m tired of being teased by family members and always getting comments about how big I am. I also want to boost my self-esteem, decrease depression, feel better physically, and prevent chronic diseases.14

One of my main motivations is to be a lighter load for my ponies, I don't believe this is at all a petty reason! 😁🤠🐴
ETA- By ponies, I mean my horses, where I come from we jokingly call all horses ponies12 -
Mine isn't original, I want to rock a tiny bikini!8

It’s not really a petty reason but since I’ve lost weight mine and husbands sex life has REALLY IMPROVED!! I feel more confident in the bedroom and I get to wear skimpy lingerie instead of really big floaty nighties. And now he can pick me up without me being scared I’m gonna break his back 😁18

Lately I have one person I enjoy sticking it to. I've lost and she's gained. We're not in a competition but she's been mean to me the last few years. I saw her recently and it was great.15

My petty reason is to show my ex that I rose from the ashes better than ever - look good, be confident, flirty and fun again. And find myself a guy hotter and better than he could ever dream of being!
My petty reason is pretty much the same thing. I was told I was "no longer fun" and "I didn't want the same things" when I was going to school nearly full-time and working full-time. I had no time on my 1 day off to go to the gym with him for hours. Now he's got a baby with the woman he cheated on me with, and I'm here starting the journey to being in the best shape of my life.18 -
@aliciaxcore1 very much so. Also: to never hear that I am big boned or that I have a pretty face for a big girl!8

Want to make it easy for my pallbearers.19

I want to fit back into cute dresses! I have to wear compression socks because of leg wounds that are finally healing, and I want a Kawaii cute look, rather than a beefy, brawler look.5

My main reasons for wanting to lose weight and be healthier definitely 95% come from other places, but for that last 5%...
My ex was a complete and utter douche at the end of our relationship, especially considering how much I tried to, and actually did help her. She started her weight loss journey again after years of having really disordered eating, and lost 60 something pounds in the last 2ish years. This would be great, if she wasn't a butt at the end of the relationship. I tried to be friends, but after months of shenanigans, and her really gross, twisted sense of entitlement, I've lost my own patience.
I started off my real weight loss in mid December at 245, and am now at 215. Part of me wants to get to 190 as soon as possible, keeping a close eye on my health and doing it the right way, so I can feel superior. As in "Oh, I'm sorry, was this super hard for you? That's cute." A very, very small part.17 -
to be able to buy normal clothes!8

Agree totally with the poster above. That's what I was just coming in to say. I want to be able to shop for clothes without having to automatically go straight to the "plus size" section. Where, as we all know too well, they don't have nearly as much of a selection. When I see something cute on display, I want to fish through the clothing racks and not end up discovering that either they don't make it in my size, or if they do, it's more expensive in my size.5

I didn't want to be a fat preacher, and my dad has always been obese. As I got more into it, my reasons got better and deeper, but at the end of the day, the first two are still a major driving motivation.10

Similar. I want to go for a regular check-up to the doc has been threatening me with needing statins in a year (or in a couple more pounds) because "as you approach 60, you aren't able to lose weight any longer, so your blood work will just keep getting worse"...and instead have him say, "Holy s#$t, your cholesterol is normal, your blood sugar is normal, your pulse and blood pressure are normal, your BMI is normal and your weight is normal! You don't need any meds at all!"20 -
Just wanna have a rocking mom bod. Lol. After two kids, it’s hard to “bounce” back and everyone I know that have kids never bounced back so I wanna be one of those moms everyone’s like “oh you don’t even look like you had kids.”
Plus it just gives me more self confidence when I know I’m noticeable when walking through a grocery store, etc. Makes my husband hold onto me just a little tighter.13 -

My petty reason is I want to look and feel better about myself than how people who tear me down about my weight and looks feel about themselves. I have family members whom I work with that every night remind me that I have alot of extra weight.13
-
I want to get rid of the cellulite and extra fat on the front of my thighs so I look more chic when I go to Paris on vacation this fall.11

A lot of my hobbies are ourdoorsy and early this year I found out how difficult it is to tramp round fields and up hills with peoe who do this kind of thing regularly. I don't want to be the far girl struggling to keep up. I want to be out there doing it. It's very daunting though!15

My ex broke up with me to "work on himself", is currently enjoying a lot of female attention at his new job and has no problem flaunting this information. I want to get in shape to show him what he gave up.
As weird as it sounds, I'd like to lose weight so that my face slims down as well as my body. I have short hair and a chubby face and feel like I take terrible pictures because I have a "fat face". I'd like to change that.12 -

This, exactly. I wouldn't hate him if he'd just been honest with me, but since he wasn't...eat your heart out, indeed!7 -
I turn 30 this year and I refuse to turn 30 like this. I want to celebrate and take pictures I’m proud of. I want to select average weight on dating apps lol and I want to meet someone that is motivated and passionate. For that I need to be motivated and passionate lol and I want my babies to have a good example.15

So I can stop untagging myself in other people's photos because I'm too embarrassed at how big I look22
-
I want people to look at me and be like “ she’s so skinny”9

Shopping for cute clothes8

So I can wear a bikini again !9
