9 years Gisel - wow! I knew you were a long time maintainer, but didn't realize just how long. That really is inspiring!

Thank you! and yes, 9 years and counting!

Man, I'll be happy if I live long enough to maintain for 9 years (and still be competent enough to count, besides).

    Nice work! :drinker:

Thing is, it could be kinda hard to tell an April Fool diet from some real ones.

Man, if that's the case then they are going for the long con.

Sez the woman whose profile photo is always k-pop boys. LOL!

    (Not a dis. I like ya. ;) )

Only the maSTAR of long cons such as me could identify such a ruse as theirs.

But now that you mention it, I am amassing a bit of a collection in my profile, lol. I've already got 2/6 Day6 boys on rotation.

@pinuplove You mean you haven't been speaking in meows and I'm not actually good at cat-speak? D:

I meow kpop songs to my cat because I can't speak Korean.

Thank you, but I only had about 10 lbs to lose (surgery and a crazy job/travel schedule). It was not that difficult once I put myself together. Kudos to you Ann for being such a trooper even when you went thru hard times <3 .

I am guessing that is a pop culture person. I am not as hip as you so I always assumed that was her picture.

I wish I was a handsome as the men in my pictures, but alas.

I think many of the people who know probably saw my picture in the NSV thread when I was having a mental crisis, lol. You're not alone in thinking it is me, especially since I like using selfies instead of professional shots, which makes them look natural.

I don't look at pictures that carefully so I didn't catch that the person was a male.

Yeah, this. I thought Rel was an Asian woman until she said on another thread that her photos were male K-pop stars.

I never would've dreamed they were male. Still don't look very male to me, no insult to them intended. I truly, totally don't understand about crushing on K-pop stars (either gender), I think because I'm old, and not because they're Asian or androgynous, but because, to me, they look like children. Cute ones.

I do like them androgynous, so it's understandable, haha. It's definitely a more common look among kpop idols.

I prefer shorter men, haha, although the guy in my current profile pic isn't that short (he's 6'0''). I also have great appreciate for a solid full beard. That's definitely not something you see in kpop idols, but for sure something you see a lot in my hometown.

I finally realized I was on my way to becoming a "woman of a certain age" because suddenly everyone looks like a child!

I'm starting to hit that threshold. The new kpop stars coming out are definitely babies. A lot of them are starting to be born in 2000-2001, and even though they are technically adults, they are still babies to me lol. It stopped being a crush-like feeling and more "I wish to protect you from the evil that is the general public" feel.

I do the same with Welsh. His name is Soot. In Welsh, "Sut" (pronounced similarly) means "how". So "How are you?" would be "Sut dych chi?" But that would also be "Are you Soot?" and "You are Soot."

    I have fun with that...

I work at a medical school and pretty much all of our clinics are teaching clinics, so I don't really notice baby docs anymore, when they're with an attending. It did throw me for a loop to find out my allergist got her BS at my alma mater.....not quite a decade later!

Cute ones.

I finally realized I was on my way to becoming a "woman of a certain age" because suddenly everyone looks like a child!

I know. Child police, child doctors, child dentists, child teachers. :o

I work in a medical centre and some if the doctors are barely older than my own children

Not quite the same, but one of the kids I babysat in high school is an orthodontist now and his sister is doing her residency in orthopedics.

I'm be the proud(?) parent of an official adult soon :confounded:
