I can see this point, but I also feel like she took advantage of Forrest's kindness, knowing he was in love with her, so she'd just come back and use him in between all her escapades until eventually having his kid and not telling him.
This movie is more complex and possibly better than i gave it credit for.2 -

i always thought Jenny wasn't even real past a certain point.
like once he went to Vietnam he got shell-shocked and the rest of his life was just a fever dream fantasy after, including finding Jenny again and having a child with her. little Forrest was just his brain's way of trying to correct the major flaw in his life (showing him a healthy boy who wasn't like him)
in reality, they probably committed Forrest to a mental health facility and i bet he he died a pauper too.3 -
