Of course you can... as long as you don't eat anything else for the rest of the day! :laugh:19

Nuts are good for you, but, calorie dense, and it was a lesson a lot of us had to learn 🙁3
-
Not a disaster - we all learn something new every single day. Trust MFP, so much information available.3

I’ve done ok last two days.thankfully had just the right amount5

I had to stop buying those tasty Blue Almond roasted with flavors ones. I had to stop buying those tasty Blue Almond roasted with flavors ones.
Now it's just plain raw almonds and I can usually eat 17g and be happy with that amount.
 Now - trail mix? Fuhgetaboutit.11

Pile of almonds will give me knives in my stomach.
To moderate, I keep raw almonds in the freezer. They don’t scream at me from there and I can use them as the incredible nutrition source and fun ingredient that they ARE, rather than use them as mouth entertainment (which I know I have a tendency to do.)7

When I eat too many nuts I cling in hope to something I saw on TV that you actually don’t absorb the full amount of calories in them as the body doesn’t break them down fully 😆
I mean. Of course I log all the calories but you know, it sort of makes me feel a smidge happier.
I bought a bag of yummy looking almonds the other day having forgotten just how calorific they are. I haven’t touched the bag yet 😔5

I broke down and opened a bag last night (Blue Diamond smokehouse) - I have been measuring out, but I just grabbed the bag last night. .... better than ice cream

Snacking on healthy food can be just as disastrous as snacking on junk food. Sad but true...6

Almond Disaster sounds like a great ice cream flavour.22

If you have to go, almonds are a good way to do it.1

More cautionary warnings in product naming, I say. Salted Caramel Regrets. Fudge Sorrow. Sweet Cream Self Loathing.18

I have almonds every day for breakfast! Either 22 g of almonds only, or 18 g of almonds plus 10 g of roasted edamame (I find the edamame is satisfyingly crunchy and makes the almonds go further, plus it’s more protein).
I always weigh and prepack them so I don’t go crazy.0
-
Let me just ruin your day a little further, go weigh out a serving of almond butter or peanut butter. Its just better to rip off the bandaid at once.3
-
A friend was watching me eat a small palm full of raw almonds and she said you can have as many as you want....THEIR HEALTHY!!!
I then added...but they are not calorie free as I pointed to total calories in package.
Just cause it's healthy does NOT mean its void of calories!!!5

LOL I remember the first time i counted calories and realized how many calories were in almonds i literally threw OUT THE CONTAINER right then and there.
that was years ago. this time around i`ve reintroduced them and eat them in moderate portion. I do buy plain (roasted unstalted) though. weigh out my portion and put away the rest.0

I get unsalted almonds and I love them. They help keep me full periodically sometimes too. Sadly at the moment I cant eat them because my teeth are still kind of hurting.0
-
I buy the boxes of 100 calorie packs. It's a bit more expensive, but it makes me control my portions.5

Neither can I. Nuts (especially peanuts and almonds) in excess have a laxative effect on me.0

I love them roasted .i mix it with cut up protein bars and can go into a handful x10 almond binge. Ugh 🐖 no more lol

Blue Diamond Salt and Vinegar Almonds are my weakness! For sure curbs the chip craving tho!2
-
Replace it with almond milk. Its delicious!5

I bought some of those. I opened a bag then commented to my wife that there must be a hole in the bag that the rest of them fell through.

I do mix Almonds and Peanuts for 40g soak them daily and eat them skin off. They really balance into my macros. I started with 20g. Soaked nuts are easy to digest.0
