FASTer way to fat loss program

Hi fellow MFP’s! Has anyone completed the FASTer way to fat loss program, and if so, do you mind sharing your success? I just started the 6 week program today!

I am just finishing week 5!
This journey has been AMAZING and I LOVE IT. The 16/8 fasting is SO EASY. The Carb cycling sounds crazy, but it works. I didn't start noticing changes until week 3, when a bra I bought had been a bit too small to hook & it fit. Since then, my favorite pairs of "active" wear, mostly PJ pants, have all gotten looser. My energy levels are balancing out. I have recently had a sinus infection and not once did I feel like I needed different foods. I don't get headaches from any of it. Honestly, the hardest is part is all the food I eat. It takes 2 weeks to get used to eating so much. Learning to meal plan effectively has been a huge benefit. Switching from counting stupid calories to counting macros is not only easy but took the stress out of what I am eating. For me, FWTFL has, so far, been everything it was cracked up to be.
Good luck, ladies. I hope you enjoy the program as much as I am. I just signed up for Round #2 because I love how I feel & the progress I am seeing.12 -

Counting Macros is essentially the same as counting "stupid calories" as per gram Protein = 4 calories, Carbs = 4 calories and Fat = 9 calories
Sooooo you're basically paying $199 for someone to tell you eat one less meal and use those calories later in the day so you can eat more at your other 2 meals? (So you can remain in a calorie deficit but eat higher volume)
Their website has all sorts of red flags:
The person who created it is a "Certified Nutrition Coach" anyone can pick up a nutrition coach certificate online unlike a Registered Dietician who has to be degree qualified
Sell merchandise and offers members the chance to "coach their own groups"
Sells Juice Cleanses and Overpriced supplements.

Agree with @tinkerbellang83 . All the tag lines are red flags i.e. stubborn fat/eat clean. She mentions she has only helped hundreds of women (what about the 90,000 online clients - what happened to them?). Her plan is nothing special and can be done for free. Save your $199 registration fee.
ETA: I wonder what happens after 6 weeks? Oh I guess you can pay the monthly "VIP" rate of $99 for exercises and her info? What a money making scam this is.17 -
While I don’t subscribe to “programs” like this, I DO subscribe to IF/OMAD. I DO NOT count calories/macros or anything else. The magic is in the fasting, NOT the feasting. Down 70+ lbs in 8 months, enjoying my food and my life.10

I did two rounds of this program so here's my thoughts (as a person who, you know, actually went through it). For me, it worked when other things didn't. No, it's not just "eat one less meal and save those calories for later." Yes, intermittent fasting is a big part of it. It also completely revamped the way I workout. Changed my focus on carbs/fats/proteins versus just my total calories. I got small group support with people who could give me individual and daily feedback. I got fun workouts that changed every week over a 14 week period. Workouts that are customized for low-impact, gym equipment, or at-home equipment. I have been on MFP for a long time and counted calories RELIGIOUSLY dang near every meal for a full two year period. I lost more weight AND inches on this program is six months than I did in those two years. Is it for everyone? No, probably not. But it was for me, when multiple other approaches weren't. So I'm perfectly happy with the return I got on the registration.27

As a rule, I don't support MLMs-- however, I do have a coworker or 2 doing it who have seen some results! Good luck.1

I completed the 6 week round 2 weeks ago. So it's been 2 months since I started. I have lost 15 pounds and didn't do the workouts - not that I recommend skipping excerise, but I got phenomenal results with just the dietary tweaks. Had I worked out, my results would have been even better. This all happened while consuming 2,000 calories a day. Monday and Tuesday are low carb days - 50 net carbs and Wednesday-Sunday my carb goal was over 230g a day! That's a lot of fruit, sweet potatoes, white potatoes, oatmeal, rice, etc. I didn't have to consume any nasty powdered shakes or do any crazy cleanses. The program also gives you a treat on the weekend as long as it fits in your macros. This program is super sustainable and intuitive and is made for the long haul, not a quick fix. If you are on the fence and can swing the cost, I absolutely recommend you try it. Not everyone has the same experience perhaps but it's a total game changer for me.6

Tried it last year. Lost a few pounds but didn't like the program. I joined for the accountability and support and felt I got neither. Wish I would have saved my money. Don't recommend it.

I started the program a year ago and it is the first time I achieved a significant and sustainable difference in my fitness. Having been a runner, I tried to keep the calories-in/calories-out balance to manage/maintain my weight. After having a baby in my mid-40's and turning 50, I figured it was all part of the cycle of life to slowly put on weight, decade after decade. When a friend posted her success with FWTFL, I figured it couldn't hurt to give it a try but my expectations were kept low since other attempts were only briefly successful.
Long story short, I'm down 5" around my belly, 4" around my arms, and 25 lbs overall. Like everything in life, you get out of it what you put in. For me, figuring out the nutrition part of it, practicing better accountability (my participation and consistency), and the community aspect of focusing on PROGRESS over PERFECTION lead to my success.3 -
One more thing - if you think of this as a diet and not a life-style change, you will likely not make the nutritional changes that lead to significant, long-term results. The truth is, this is NOT a diet but rather a scientifically based approach to nutrition. I still eat carbs, I still enjoy treats, I still enjoy cocktails, but I am aware of my macro needs and can use that skill of tracking them to more efficiently fuel myself and do the things.5

How do I enter the macros into my fitness pal for this program. For example, most days are 50% carbs, 30% fat and 20% proteins. What are the other days?0

Free MFP lets you set macro goals in 5% increments that affect all 7 days, though you can change them as many times and as often as you wish.
If you pay for premium MFP, you can set in grams or percents at a more detailed level, can vary goals by day of week, and have more options for how added exercise calories affect macro goals.0
