No.
For some reason there’s folks out there who think I’m an accountant. I’m not.
But I do know the accounting world.
I only thought you were an accountant because you were MIA for a couple of days and, well, it's tax season....no other reason to not be on mfp, right, must be an accountant!
...pssst...dont be creeped out because I notice when people aren't around...I make up reasons for them.

Just noticed you said "folks", so my southern states guess was right!
You folks don’t say folks? I say folks and I’m more canadian than southern
Nope never
It's a weird word to me, like I think it means "people" in general or it's referring to your parents. Not commonly used here (by people I know anyhow). I'd say "you people" or "my parents" (but I never say that because they are not a unit, lol, for me it's mom, dad or step-dad or stepmonster)
Got me curious, heard a local say "trash" the other day (referring to garbage). Thought he must be American.
I obviously get it, what they are talking about and know Americans use the word for garbage, but got me thinking...I use it for commenting on appearance "trashy" looking or just a negative like "trash talk".
What do you say there Cakey? For some reason I think we have regional similarities.
I will say take out the trash or trash can but I didn’t grow up hearing it that way. ‘Garbage’ is just such a harsh unpleasant word rolling off the tongue 😅
I never thought about it, but I call it a garbage can, but always say trash in other situations. Taking out the trash or throw it in the trash, but if the can is going out to the curb it is a garbage can, not a trash can.3 -

Goo Slime, which is a fun treat in any goodie bag:- Mix the borax powder and warm water together. Be aware that this slime is poisonous if swallowed. Supervise children using the borax solution. Measure out 1 tablespoon (15 ml) borax powder and 1 cup (240 ml) warm water. Add these ingredients to a large mixing bowl. Stir the mixture until the borax is completely dissolved.
- Add 1⁄2 cup (120 ml) of water and 1 cup of glue to a separate mixing bowl.
- Add food coloring to the glue mixture (optional). Choose any color food coloring you like! feel free to experiment with any color. Start with a few drops of food coloring, then stir. If you want the color to be brighter, add a few more drops of the food coloring. If you add a lot, the color may end up pretty dark and when you play with it, the color will dye your hands.
- Combine the two mixtures. Dump the borax mixture slowly at a time, because if you add too much, your slime will be hard and rip not stretch! Stir them together until it becomes your desired consistency. You will see the slime begin to form!

Tbh I would use both depending on my mood and the context of the conversation. I’m also considered an American to most Ontarians. I’ve heard sayings my whole life like, “anyone passed London is actually American.” It used to annoy me, now I embrace it.1
