What is your "Petty" Reason to Lose Weight?

My petty reason is I want to look and feel better about myself than how people who tear me down about my weight and looks feel about themselves. I have family members whom I work with that every night remind me that I have alot of extra weight.13

I want to get rid of the cellulite and extra fat on the front of my thighs so I look more chic when I go to Paris on vacation this fall.11

A lot of my hobbies are ourdoorsy and early this year I found out how difficult it is to tramp round fields and up hills with peoe who do this kind of thing regularly. I don't want to be the far girl struggling to keep up. I want to be out there doing it. It's very daunting though!15

My ex broke up with me to "work on himself", is currently enjoying a lot of female attention at his new job and has no problem flaunting this information. I want to get in shape to show him what he gave up.
As weird as it sounds, I'd like to lose weight so that my face slims down as well as my body. I have short hair and a chubby face and feel like I take terrible pictures because I have a "fat face". I'd like to change that.12 -

This, exactly. I wouldn't hate him if he'd just been honest with me, but since he wasn't...eat your heart out, indeed!7 -
I turn 30 this year and I refuse to turn 30 like this. I want to celebrate and take pictures I’m proud of. I want to select average weight on dating apps lol and I want to meet someone that is motivated and passionate. For that I need to be motivated and passionate lol and I want my babies to have a good example.15

Similar. I want to go for a regular check-up to the doc has been threatening me with needing statins in a year (or in a couple more pounds) because "as you approach 60, you aren't able to lose weight any longer, so your blood work will just keep getting worse"...and instead have him say, "Holy s#$t, your cholesterol is normal, your blood sugar is normal, your pulse and blood pressure are normal, your BMI is normal and your weight is normal! You don't need any meds at all!"
@sharondesfor935 YES, this WILL happen! Totally do-able! All of this happened for me & I got off bp med & statin
@rhondamacleod1958 I’ve lost 76 lbs between the ages of 59y,10m & 63y,1m!
Lots of folks over 60 have lost weight in here & kept it off! You will too!
You ladies rock!9 -
I want a girlfriend again. It's been 10 years and I miss intimacy. That's honestly the real motivator here - and healthy benefits are a nice bonus.25

Retirement is the best time to get in shape! You have more time to exercise and eat right so you can enjoy all those hard-earned leisure activities.8

Let's see...hmmm...petty reasons...
Having good health, more energy, being able to be more active are my primary motivations. Those aren't petty, but I guess the side effect of looking fit could be called petty by some. But I don't personally think it's petty to enjoy a fit body or to enjoy the way it looks. There's nothing wrong with that.4 -
I want to put on a pair of jeans and feel like I can rock them. I also don't want to hide from the camera anymore8

My petty reason is that I'm extremely curious of how my face would look like after 50 lbs weight loss. I think I'm quite pretty now that I'm fat, so what would it be like if I was fit?? :O15

So I don't just have to wear baggy jumpers and hoodies all the time9

I want to be able to get my socks and shoes on without any effort10
