Hi all!! I started at 175 in February. Now I'm at 170. My weight loss has been a lot slower than I hoped so I don't think I will make my goal of 155 for June but at least I will try to keep losing !! Good job everyone

    CW 60.8 kg
    GW 53 kg

Not sure I'll get there by June, and numbers doesn't really matter as much as how I feel. If i get to 57 kg and I feel amazing then that's probably where I'll Park.

How is everyone doing? Are you on track for your daily goals? Weekly goals? I'm a little behind on exercise, as my knees are a tad sore from squats. But! I did manage a short walk yesterday. I plan to get in a longer one this morning to make up for it then, maybe take a hot hot bath before work.

Keep that June goal in mind!! Anyone going to reward themselves for hitting their June goal? I have 4 possibilities!

Still hovering around the same weight. I'm tracking more closely and adding in 2 miles of walking on my lunch breaks.

I'm late to this post but I would like to give it a try. I'm not sure if I will be able to lose 20lbs by June but I'm going to try to get as close as I can.

Lowered my calories this week. Good thing I did, my knee acting up a bit so not as much exercise as I want to fit in. But not giving up nor giving in. Doing what I can and being smart. Life. Having this lofty goal is helping me stay on track! And my reward of buying a swimsuit cover-up is also helping. Keep at it! You can do it!

It's not my weigh-in day, but I hopped on the scale to see if the lower calories did anything. I'm down a couple of lbs. I need to stay strong through the travels to/fro and during the wedding this Saturday. Three-hour trip one way. I plan to pack my food so that the only "up in the air" is the dinner being served at the reception.

Good Sunday morning! I'm really late to join this group, but I am determined. I'm Joanna from Michigan, 51 yo, married for 14+ years (first marriage, longest relationship,) no children, semi-retired, and overweight again!! I've lost a few times and got close to goal, but can't manage to maintain. I thought the last time I was headed towards a true lifestyle change, then many things in my life changed. And I had a hard time adjusting obviously. So this time around the plan is to be more cognitive of how I deal with adversity. Still learning to work through daily conflict with hubby, as he has own addictions to food/alcohol. I'm slowly learning and working through the thought process that I can only control me, my thougths, my actions, and my reactions. And realize that tracking my food and journalling is going to be a part of my life, forever. So... why not do it with friends who GET IT!! I rejoined MFP two weeks ago and found a "biggest loser" group to get me started. I love it!

Last night, I lay in bed reading the blogs and thought more about my goals. I thought an extra push might do me some good. So why not! I'll shoot for 20# by June 2nd, as my weigh-in days are Sunday. That is ten weeks of being on plan, exercising, and being kind to myself. 2#/week. A little lofty, but I also carry alot of weight for this 5'1" frame.

    Original SW: 274.0 (heaviest ever)
    GW by June 2, 245.4#
    3/24 SW: 265.4
    3/31 Wk1 263.6
    4/07 Wk2 261.2

In order to accomplish my goal, I have daily and weekly goals; with rewards too! I'll check in next Sunday if not before.

    4/08 Wk3 257.4  (12# to goal in 7 weeks; on track)

I can't reach my 20 pound goal at 1 lb per week, but I'd be happy to get to 140 by June 3rd (15 pounds). I walked 2 miles every day last week. I plan to do that again this week and hopefully lose 1 pound before next Monday's weigh in.

It looks like you started late as I did. I like this challenge as it's pushing me to stick to my plan and to exercise a little more than I might have. Whatever motivates you and gets you to lose 15-20# is perfect. Keep working hard. Did you plan a reward for yourself when you hit your 15# / 20# goal? I have a couple in mind based on the weight loss I will achieve. Sometimes a thing will keep me motivated, rather than just a number on the scale.

    Stay positive.

Along the way keep in mind the non-scale victories (NSV) and notice how far you have come, too! Be nice to yourself.
