NSV this week is needing a belt, not as an accessory but necessary to hold up my pants.19

I just bought a new Easter dress. It fits. I can stand, sit, bend, and twist in it, and nothing rips.
It is not made out of stretchy knit fabric.
And it did NOT come from the Plus Size section.45 -
Resisting the grill at work. Eating my lunch I brought. Staying focused on my goal. For more than a month. Not rewarding myself for being good🐴22

My brother had his 25th birthday party Saturday night. I haven't had a good party for the longest time. I don't even drink alcohol very often, I get a natural high off a good atmosphere. Saturday night was like that. I danced the night away stone cold sober, slept for a few hours then got up and went for my jog that morning. I was quite a bit slower than usual, but still went. Did have a big nap that afternoon when I got home though 🤣 (party was 2 hours away from where we live)14

For the first time in I dont know how long, my boobs stick out further than my belly!38

I jogged again today after yet another week off for a very minor injury. I'm 60 and at least 60 lbs overweight and every injury now worries me--will it be the one that stops me from running? I've never had a major injury, so you would think I wouldn't worry--but I'm taking no chances. So being able to get back out in the sun and wind and jog after a short hiatus, and have no reason to worry, felt GREAT!!18

Spectacular, nice job.2 -
The dress I got for Easter a month ago is now too big and I will need a different dress!27

So far for the work week I have avoided, donuts, pizza, breakfast burritos, and cinnamon rolls in favor of foods that fit my calorie goal more easily. And it's only Tuesday, lol.28

Hard work paying off for sure! You should be proud!7 -
Entered a 12k for June 8th a month ago..... sometimes I wake up and go "you entered a 12K for June 8th" and then my heart smiles.24

Spartan Sprint is signed up for in July... I need to get a loooooot stronger by then.12

When I took a Zumba class at the beginning of starting to count calories with MFP, when I lifted my legs high my thighs would hit my stomach. It was big and droopy. I noticed at the last class this week that my thighs no longer make contact with my smaller stomach. I nearly cried with joy!30

I started going to a kickboxing class back in September. This past week we did a routine that we haven't done since probably October or November. One of the moves in the routine is a lunge with a jump to switch legs. As I went through the routine with no problems, I remembered not being able to jump at all the first time we did it, let alone jump fast enough to keep time with the music!14

I’m struggling a bit this week - human feels clouding perspectives. But I posted this on my feed and realized that it’s a good NSV that covers a long toad to where I am. Sometimes, it is hard for me to hang onto a positive attitude in weak moments when I’m looking 4 minutes behind when maybe I was lower in weight/better at logging or 5 minutes into the future where you realize that goal you wanted so badly is impossible in the *time* you want it.
Extending my view outward, I realize that I’ve accomplished a lot. Today’s struggles once felt so unattainable and yet here I am. Mired in the Bog Of The Last Twenty.
So, my NSV is a history of shorts. Three pieces: the largest, where I started. The middle, when I left plus size stores behind and went on my first vacation where I was not ashamed to be in pictures. The top: where I am now, on the cusp of achieving a goal I set for myself at the start of 2012.
Now to go slay the day!

@dhiammarath That is the best visual reinforcement I’ve seen! A total summary of all we’ve been through. There ought to be a Hall of Fame on MFP for that picture. I nearly wept when I folded laundry last night. When the girls come home to visit and I wash their clothes, I would think to myself “who wears clothes this tiny?” Last night I realized my clothes were “that tiny”. It was like having a bucket of cold water thrown in my face. I neither feel it nor see it yet, but apparently it’s happened.19

I realize this is a typo and you meant to say “long road,” however I am having fun picturing a “long toad” that you could take to get where you are. Maybe a really big toad, like the Catbus from that Miyazaki movie.
Your progress is inspiring and you will get the rest of the way too!3 -
Set a new pb on my 5k jog this morning 😁 36 minutes, 35 seconds 😁 I had set a new pb last week, not sure if I posted here or just on Facebook, it was 36 minutes 52 seconds, almost a full minute faster than my previous best. This morning I'm over a minute faster than my original best 😁😁😁14

@rheddmobile That is hilarious. I would totally ride a really big toad. I shall call him Toadcaliber! Toadcalibur of the Longest Hop! Thank you! I will, even in the hardest stretch, but I will. Riding ol' Toady, I say. (This made my day, especially since this week I've felt about as intelligent as a potato. XD)
@springlering62 Thank you! And congrats on getting that bucket of cold water -- we need it sometimes to get out of our heads. At least, I do!7 -
This week in two different classes at the gym I got called out. Lol and it wasn’t “watch those knees”, “lift your head” or “elbows back”. Instead of a correction, I got “show them how it’s done” and “watch LaLa if you want to take it up a level”.
Holy crap, I’m the lady in the class who is crushing it! Huge victory from the me who barely made it through a workout six months ago.32 -
Someone called me the “Queen of Core” at Pilates. After doing the obligatory look around and realizing hey! It was me they were talking to, I just thought, OMG, this crazy! how far I’ve come. And my trainer calls me “Slim”. Although I guess I pay her to do that LMAO. But still, coming from her, it’s like a warm hug every time.17

I also like how your style is cuter the smaller you get. Perhaps increased confidence?? Very inspiring!! ♥4 -
Here's a funny one from last night. I mowed the lawn for the first time since fall and cleaned up with my backpack leaf blower to clean up the driveway/sidewalk. It has a waist belt as well as shoulder straps. The waist belt was remarkably loose and needed to be tightened!
On a sexier note - I hit my new PR for the deadlift at 405x2 today for the second week in a row. Last week wasn't a fluke!15 -
Yesterday was a tough day as far as cravings were concerned. Everywhere I turned there was something lurking around the corner calling out to me. There was the burrito lady that showed up. (I brought my breakfast.) Then cinnamon rolls showed up. I ate my salad at lunch, and some popcorn after it even. Then, I ate an unplanned midafternoon snack because the hungries got me. I was left with just under 500 cals to eat dinner with, AND we were planning on eating out due to schedule not allowing enough time to cook. I made it. I even had a small double bacon double cheeseburger for dinner that suprisingly was under 500 cals on its own! After a small evening workout I was even ahead of the day by a few calories. WOOHOO! Now, can I do the same today???16

@tashanic2 Thank you! My style has definitely gotten better and I do think it's because of confidence! I like looking trendy now. XD3

I posted this on my status, but I wanted to share with the MFP community 😊😊😊😊
My new NSV and mini-goal!
I have been planning on trying the Waterfall Gully to Mt Lofty walk for a while. I was waiting for cooler weather (making sure all the brown snakes are in hibernation!). The walk is considered hard, with lots of steep parts. I wanted to get to the halfway point - 2km and I did!
Yes - I stopped many times along the steep climbs, but I continued. I was slow, but I listened to my body. I told myself to slow down - it's not a race! Lots of people overtook me, but I continued. I kept on telling myself that I can do this. And I did! YAAAAAAAAY!

I was watching my 2 yo granddaughter, she was singing "Head, shoulders, knees and toes" so I sang and danced with her. I touched my toes, didn't realize I was doing it until the 15th- 20th time (kids) Just easily bent at waist and touched my toes!27

Checked out my legs and backside for the first time in a couple months and noticed my cellulite is GONE. Like totally gone! No more cottage cheese thighs for me! Now I can't wait for shorts season to come around.28

Being told by a work colleague not to lose any more weight as I will start to look ill.
15st 1lb, 6ft, BMI 28.6 I think that peoples perception of the norm has changed15
