Really disappointed about my workout

I know this is one day but it might go on and not to mention I didnt workout 3 days straight when I usually do 6 times a week. I had some Tabasco on my eggs but I usually have eggs and banana which is normal for my stomach but that Tabasco hurt my stomach so bad that I could only give 25% effort on my workout. My first question is, should I resume my workout in addition to tomorrow's workout at tomorrow? Second question being should I eat less because I basically exercised less?

Just chalk it up to a bad day and move on. I wasn't 100% at my workout today after taking more test than usual during the holiday. Just focus on tomorrow being as good as it can be, but don't try to double up. Just do your normal workout.

Chalk it up to a rough day, learn not to eat Tabasco before a workout and move on with your life like normal. It's fine.

Yea but it's been a rough WEEK. I would basically count this as my 4th day of inactivity. I usually workout 6 times a week so my routine is like booof

I feel like my chest didnt take a beating today. Tomorrow I have back and biceps. Should I do some chest and tris and shoulders tomorrow as well?

You follow a structured program right?

Do you see any of the guidelines telling you to double up?

If you're not following a structured program... why are you not doing so?

I am in no way capable to fully evaluate the appropriateness of the program; but, your initial question was interpreted by me as a question that I would have expected from a less experienced bodybuilder.

I googled the program you mention, and from one of the first user comments I note: "As Schwarzenegger himself said this is for people who train for at least 3-5 years. As a beginner you need a little higher frequency and much lower volume." People were also discussing the high volume that was potentially leading to injuries and whether the program was suitable for someone who is not juiced up.

Is this the right program for you?

As the UK contingent is about to wake up, maybe someone like @sijomial might be able to opine.

If you are, in fact, a beginner, you might have a look at this very informative post: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10332083/which-lifting-program-is-the-best-for-you/p1

Something thats come to me only recently is that this is a way of life with all the ups and down days that come with it - breaking the routine is not going to undo weeks/months of consistent and fab food and exercise habits. It feels like you are being quite hard on yourself - pls be kinder and start the next day as a clean slate. Its hard to move forward when you are looking back all the time :).

A week in context of the rest of your life is nothing. Stop worrying and just roll on.

We all have bad days. I've had two runs in a row that were absolutely disastrous -- and I'm coming up on a half marathon in 12 days. You figure out what went wrong, fix it, and move on.

I agree. OP could be burned out due to running a program that is not intended for his level of lifting, diet, gear, etc. which could by why you have not been having a good week.

OP, what are your goals? reevaluate the program you are running, in light of your goals
how long have you been working out?

sounds like this program is designed for someone more advanced with lifting than you. Probably best to pick a program from the link provided earlier, geared at beginner or intermediate lifter

I like PHUL, PHAT and Madcow (assuming you maxed out gains from strong lifts, or in a deficit as programming allows for better recovery)
