well see, here in the real world, we call all soft drinks a coke. doesn't matter what it is really, you just call it a coke.
the only time you really differentiate it like if you're talking to someone and ask em what they want to drink, like,
"hey jim bob i'm running up to mickey d's for a minute to grab a few burgers. you want anything? what kinda coke you want?" and then they can tell you whatever like "eh gimme a dr pepper"
i do believe if you referred to it as "soda" or even worse, a "pop", here you'd get some funny looks and if it was me, personally, i'd purposefully order the wrong thing for you until you learned how to talk right in the first place.
Damn, you got dr pepper at mickey d's...for some reason I'm super jealous right now even tho I haven't eaten anything from there in years..it just the option
i haven't eaten there in years either except for some chicken nuggies like 3 years ago now i think and they were BREATHTAKING

...of the scenario where you'd let me pay you to sit in an alley while fending off feral cats while you eat nuggies (presumably Im holding your dipping sauce too, while shooing away street cats with the other arm!)2 -
