Super excited about how this month went! On to the next challenge!8 -
I'm back for another round! Still trying to get into the 140's, lol. Ended March at 150.1, so close, but not a 149 something on the scale. Looking to finish this month at 146, that's a pound a week and hopefully get past this 3 week plateau I have been dealing with. Let's get started!
Starting weight: 178
Goal weight: 140
Challenge start weight: 150.1
Challenge goal weight: 146.0
Weigh in days will be Thursday
April 1 - 152.6 weekend bump always happens on Mondays!
April 4 - 148.8 I am finally out of the 150's! Maybe, hopefully. lol. We will see what next week brings!
April 11 - 148.8 same at least it didn't go up I guess
April 18 - DNW - NO SCALE ON VACATION
April 25 - 148.1 Slowly continuing the slope down. Don't think I will make the 5 pounds, but even if I can make 3 or 3.5 I would be happy!
April 30 - 148.2 I have never made 5 pounds in a month, but I am happy with my progress as slow as it may be. Saw lower a couple of times this month, so hoping to do better next month.

I had a huge salty meal so I’m expecting to be up from water weight for a couple days, but I’ll log my weight Tuesday anyhow! I’m happy with how April went and prepared for a slower loss in May. 👍🏻
Today I was at 147.4 so still retaining that water weight. 😱
Still happy with how April went overall. I didn’t lose what I’d hoped to, but I had some exciting NSVs. ^_^4 -
Has anybody seen the May post yet?1

Jenn, I'm sure Samantha, @SamanthaLouiseMence will start a new thread when she realizes the month is over. If not, I will message her.

Another of those baffling gains. I'm in a calorie deficit, so not sweating it. The scale will catch up. Didn't hit April goal, but have made significant priorprogress. Consistent loss in terms weight, so happy there.
Game Plan:- Continue weekly meal planning ✔ This is critical for me. Without a plan, I will rely on fast and easy carryout or delivery
- Log daily in MFP - focus on daily calorie deficit ✔ I have upped the exercise and am focused on maintaining a deficit. I use the calorie allowance only as a baseline.
- Increase Fitbit steps from 2500 (March avg) to 5000 by end of April ✔ Bumped my goal to 5000 on Sunday. Because I'm fighting for every step now, I don't expect to hit this new average out of the gate/color]
- Hit active minutes goal of 20 minutes daily ✔ Hitting this and bumped it to 25 on Sunday
- Increase strength building exercise from 5 days to 7 Still at 6. It's a process.
- Watch weight trend and don't freak out over daily fluctuations ✔ Patience and calm

Good month! Total loss for April was 8.4bs - so about my desired goal of 2 lbs per week and up from March! Hope to make STG of dropping below 147 next month, which would put me in the overweight category finally and out of obese (which has been where my weight has been for the last 6 years :-( Took 12 years to get to that point so in for the long haul to get back out.

Original starting weight for this current journey : (1-11-2018) 235.0
April starting weight – 189.6

Weight/Comment:
…..189.6…..Starting Weight
Apr 01 – …..189.4 …..
Apr 08 – …..190.0 …..
Apr 15 – …..191.8 ….. Eating my emotions during such grief as I lost my sister this week. I am trying to get back on track during this busy but emotional time. I just need a minute.
Apr 22 – …..196.8 ….. Still eating my emotions & I also indulged in too many carbs during Easter. Back on track starting today! Thanks for all the hugs & condolences.
Apr 29 – …..197.0 ….. The battle of the bulge rages on!
Apr 30 – ….. 196.8….. April was my worst month ever! May will be better.
Final Challenge Thoughts: April held a holiday famous for candy & sweets. But more importantly, it was filled with grief for the loss of my sister on the 11th. I certainly ate my emotions & am still struggling. But I must try harder to work on, not just my weight, but my overall health. My sister’s death is case in point.

March total: loss 1.7 lbs - This is all that I lost with a deficit of 18,713 calories
February total calories burned (not the deficit) - 20,350 - loss 1.4 lbs
March 31 - 172.8
April 02 - Tuesday - 174.1
April 03 - 173.0
April 04 - 171.6 - I was 170.9 on March 30th I have been dropping my calories from 1200 to 1100 so far this month, I am not satisfied with working so diligently to lose only a pound a month. There was bonus skating yesterday which seems to remove all of my excess water (and stress) and burns lots of calories, so a 1.4 loss in a day is likely due to that.
April 05 - 170.9
April 06 - 170.0 !!
April 07 - 171.6 - Expected, very small deficit yesterday
April 08 - 171.1 - Monday. Okay with that. Tuesday mornings is 4am for me, and my weight is always up because it is too darned early. I may still weigh tomorrow morning, but won't be upset if it is high.
April 10 - 171.6 - Wednesday. I had a tough time getting in enough calories yesterday, I am on soft food for 3 weeks until I get a crown on my tooth. This is going to really change up what I eat, crunchy foods are out.
April 11 - 169.3!!!! I am not getting too excited. Skating yesterday : - ) I am working out of town today and they have skating there today too : - )
April 12 - 168.6 - All of that calorie deficit in February and March might finally be showing up, plateau gave way. 2 skates only coming up in the next 2 weeks, all of the other towns are now closed for the season (couldn't skate yesterday). Guess I am trading in my blades for squatting, bending, pushing, lunging, and pulling in the garden. I do dance aerobics and Zumba daily from Youtube, but really don't get the same effect as skating, nor can I sustain it for as much time. I hope to stay in the 160s for a few months and not get back up into the 170s which lasted for almost 4 months. 2 full months of upping my water intake, have to try to keep that up.
April 13 - 168.3
April 14 - 169.0 - I am not managing to get in enough exercise. I will fix that.
April 15 - 169.5 - Monday. I won't weigh tomorrow, hopefully Wednesday will still be in the 160s : - )
April 16.- 169.0 - Tuesday, home sick from work with a cold. Not too motivated to work out, maybe later.
April 17 - 167.8 - The first two days of antibiotics are responsible for some weight loss, likely temporary. Too sick to even go to skating today! I really hate to miss it, there is only one left after this. We'll see in 2 hours after taking some Dayquil.
April 18 - 166.7 - I had a really tough time getting my calories in yesterday, between the dental issue and this flu. I found some unsweetened apple juice at one point and drank enough of that to bring up my calories. 2 weeks until I get my crown on. Scrambled eggs and soups, but I have no appetite and am mostly staying propped up high in bed with Nyquil. Not a nice way to lose weight, I am sure in 2 weeks when I am back on solid foods that it will rebound.
April 19 - 167.4 - got my calories from food instead of juice.
April 20 - 166.8
April 21 - 167.5
April 22 - 166.0
April 23 - 166.4 - Tuesday
April 24 - 166.8 - ate so late after a very long day at work trying to catch up after being off for a week. Not 100%, but it is the last skating opportunity of the season at noon today.
April 25 - 166.2 - Skated yesterday : - )
April 26 - 164.9 - I was too busy yesterday to get enough water in, I think it is a temporary loss. I went from 1 glass of water a day to 8+ over the last few months. Because of that, I am sort of thinking that my 2 month stall in weight loss was due to the increased water content. Maybe loss of muscle from not skating as much has showed as weight loss. Skating is finished now until October : - (
April 27 - 166.5 - kind of went off of the rails last night - almost 2 pounds worth.
April 28 - 167.2 - 3 pounds in 3 days, my own fault for losing my discipline after so many months. I will have to get back on the bandwagon today.
April 29 - 168.4 - Yikes. I was very good yesterday food-wise and really upped my calorie burn. The weekend has caught up with me, hopefully I get that back off quickly. 4 pounds took me almost 4 months to get off, it would be totally sad if I put it back so fast. Hoping that it is temporary.
April 30 - 167.9
Running loss/gain - loss 4.9
May 01 - 165.1
I am going to count that in the April loss until the new thread gets posted - It made up for February and March
April loss - 7.74 -
