04/23 - 270.0 - Up a bit, but had a ton of sodium yesterday. I had my water, but still the sodium was over by 1/2 a teaspoon. I walked a lot and completed Week 4, Day 2 of C25K. I did two episodes of Zombies, Run! I did not walk for an hour with either one as the timing wasn't right for it due to people either using the room or setting up to use the room. Food was okay.
04/24 - 268.6 - Still up, but TOM started yesterday morning. Sodium is still up too. I walked about 2 hours yesterday. Yesterday morning was rough, but got through it without emotional eating. My Fitbit crashed, and the replacement Fitbit was having errors, got it fixed with the help of a friend. So, today I am supposed to do Week 4, Day 2 of C25K, we'll see what happens as my CSS is coming at 10. More walking later in the day.
04/25 - 269.0 (Internet wasn't up and unable to post)
04/26 - 269.4 - Still creeping up even though period is starting to come to an end. I don't know what's going on. Exercise has been good. Food has been good. So I don't know if I am going to post a loss for this week or not. I did try a new food in Nutrition 101 yesterday, a jicama. We also had it in a salad that was pretty good. Today has been a productive day.
04/27 - 271.8 (unable to post)
04/28 - 268.4 - Back down a good deal, but not all the way. I don't know where things are going to end up. Today was my rest day. I have done very little moving today. I did do some cooking. There was an issue with a small fire in the building but the alarms didn't go off alerting us to the danger. Thankfully the fire department showed up anyways. It's late at night now so I won't type for long. I am stopping my C25K program until I can see my doctor. I think my electrolytes have gotten out of balance as my heart skips beats while I'm running but seems to be fine otherwise.

04/30 - 266.4 - Whoosh. I am slipping into depression. I mean when I can finally get that high from exercise, it feels great and I feel great, but when it's gone, I crash all over again. Dark thoughts circle through my head again. I thought I was passed all of this. I finally have a razor and had shaved my legs for the first time in 9 months. I can't think of a trigger. Just my brain has switched. I am still keeping up with self care best I can, it's just tougher now, is all. I'm not ready to give up yet.

04/24 - 203.6. Had a good day yesterday, calories, exercise both in check. Thought I would have a better scale response, but down is good.
04/25 - 203.2. Admin professionals day lunch, I ate pretty carefully, but it was high calorie - couldn't resist the chocolate dessert. Balanced OK with a low cal dinner and evening walk. Trying to plan my weekend a little more carefully - weekends are my "trigger".
04/26 - 202.9. Back down, total so far this round is down .9. I would love to be down 1.5 by Monday, because that is my weekly weigh in day. I know people say don't focus on a number, but right now my weight is so high that is all I can see. Maybe when I hit my 10% goal I will be able to focus on fitness goals, but right now, the number is important to me. I'm not sad or anything, just really want to lose weight the right way, so that I can sustain the healthy lifestyle. These are my meandering thoughts on a sunny and windy Friday afternoon.

04/29 - 205.9. This is why I hate weighing daily. I had an OK weekend (not the best, not the worst). I did have a birthday party Saturday that included wine and dessert. But, how do I get above my starting weight 3 weeks ago? I feel like I am starving myself. I'm not, but I say "no thanks" so often. Sorry, just really frustrated right now.

Back for another round! Last round I ended with a slight gain, but I had a 5 day vacation, Easter weekend, and a family death that all happened in that round. Lots of eating out, stress, and family to deal with. So I was pretty happy that I was only up a couple of pounds and that I was able to pretty much maintain through all of that. I usually don't set goals for myself during these rounds, I just try and do my best and see what I can accomplish, but I will be setting 2 this round. I want to see a 146 something and I do not want to see a 150 anything on the scale the entire time. Good luck everyone!

04/23 - 149.4 nice drop of water weight to start the round. Water and food were both good all day and I am already on track for today. Would love to see a new low this week, so working hard and trying to stay in a deficit most of the week. At least Mon-Fri.
04/24 - 148.1 Back to where I was before I left on vacation and my Easter weekend took over. This was my lowest weight hit in round 73, so hoping to beat that in the next couple of days. I am also really close to hitting my next milestone on my happy scale app. Water and food are set for today and on track so far!
04/25 - 148.1 same as yesterday so I will take it. I had a beer and 3 shots last night with dinner, but ate light all day. I don't have a problem stress eating as much as I do with stress drinking. This month has just been so stressful all the way around. Yesterday my Senior and Junior in high school found out 1 of their friends (17 years old) committed suicide. That was after we found out my middle schooler (my autistic child) got into a fight at school. He had been doing so well and making really great progress, it just really hit me as a step back. So while cooking and eating dinner my husband and I had a couple of drinks. I had been doing so good, but knowing we have to go to this funeral on Saturday for my husbands grandma and now all of this I needed a drink, lol! Back on the wagon today. Meals are prepped, water is next to me, and I will not have any alcohol tonight.
04/26 - 147.6 I hit another milestone on my happy scale app today! Finally moving in the right direction after stalling for so many weeks. The weekend is here though and that is my downfall, so hoping I can stay on track.
04/27 - 147.6 same as yesterday. We had my DH grandmas funeral today, so it was not a great day. Just got home and I am headed to bed. Only ate 1 real meal, and pretty much drank my lunch. I’m slamming a couple bottles of water before I go to sleep to wash some of the alcohol out of my system. We have to drive about hour and a half out of town tomorrow so that we can spread her ashes. So hopefully I can stay on track better. I don’t think I had many calories, but what I did have was not good calories. We will see I guess.
04/28 - 149.5 totally expected. Lots of alcohol, 2 very restless nights of sleep (today will be closure for everyone), and lots of Mexican food. Chili, cheese, tortillas, chips/salsa, sopapillas, and potatoes, amazing food, but a killer on the scale, lol. I’m just checking in real quick because we are about to leave. We are all meeting at another Mexican restaurant and then driving down to the river to spread her ashes. My goal today is to stay out of the 150’s and I am right on the line, no alcohol (I’m driving) and hopefully make some better food choices. I have not read any updates since Friday, so I will have to catch up on Monday when I get back to work. Hope everyone had great weekends!
04/29 - 149.5 Stayed under 150! I am back at work today and just trying to play catch up on here. You know you have had a couple of busy days, when your happy to be back at work to get some rest,lol. Yesterday we had such an amazing time. The place we went was so beautiful and peaceful that it wasn't sad or depressing at all. The kids were running around in the fields and playing, all of the adults were sitting around talking about old times and eating cheesecake (which I chose not to have a piece and that was hard). For the first time in weeks my hubby and I slept like babies. It was exactly what we needed to be at peace with this whole situation. I did ok food wise yesterday, pretty much only had 1 real meal and then snacked after we got home, and did not have a drop of alcohol. 3 more days and hoping to end this round at a new low!
04/30 -148.2 and there goes the weekend gain. Went to my daughters last choir concert as a junior last night, it really does go by so quick. Stayed on track all day yesterday and finished strong with dinner. Meals are planned for today and may actually get to sit on the couch and catch up on some of our shows tonight, which would be amazing.

4/23--211.4 So much bloating and feeling heavy from snacking the night before. Getting water in today. Worked out with trainer today.

4/25--210.7 Ran 2 miles yesterday and worked out with trainer tonight. I've noticed that I'm more bloated/heavy the last few days and when I look back at my diet I see that I've been eating some of the foods that I'm sensitive to...it's just a little here and a little there, but I think it's adding up. So today I got back to my regular eating...I even went out for lunch and ordered a salad that fits into my food sensitivity issues.
4/26--210.0 Did not get enough sleep last night. Tonight is my last dance class with hubby, other than that I am going to relax and get to bed at a decent time...rest is so important in muscle recovery/weight loss
4/27--208.9 There goes the rest of the bloat after making sure I don't eat food that I'm sensitive to. Went to the nutritionist this morning and she was so excited with how my eating/weight loss/working out is going...it was nice to get the support. Today I'm going for a run and then hubby and I are going to go through a box of pictures we've had for over a year and figure out where we are going to put up all of the pictures.
4/28--208.5 Ran 4 miles yesterday, perfect weather. Working out with trainer today, I usually don't work out with him on Sundays but since I won't be able to make it on my regular day of Tuesday I will be working out today.

4/30--208.5 Great NSV yesterday...my plan was to go out and run as soon as I got home from work, but it started to rain. I was disappointed, I can't believe I am now that person who is disappointed about not running. Well, I made dinner and hung out with hubby and at about 7:30 I looked outside and saw there was a break in the rain, so I told my husband I was going for the run. My husband was shocked I was still going because I am that person that if I stick around the house for a couple of hours after coming home from work I usually have no motivation to go and work out later on. Instead I took the dog and did my scheduled 3 mile run... I was so proud of myself.

04/23 - 140.3 (-.6lbs) nothing new been fluctuating here. Ready for some big losses. 😕 but on the bright side it is a loss.
04/24 - 141.1 (+.8lbs) extremely bloated today. Had stomach issues all night and just now barely feeling a little better but still bloated. Hopefully it clears up by tomorrow’s weigh in.
04/25 - 140.1 (-1lb) 😂 this is just funny at this point. I can’t seem to find 130s for the life of me. If there are any suggestions on how to get over a plateau please let me know. 😅
04/26 - 139 (-1.1lb) there it is, maybe the bloat finally went away and the actual weight it starting to show. I expected to be around this or a little less at this point but I’m happy to finally see it drop. 140.whatever was haunting me.
04/27 - 138.5 (-.5lbs) Nice little drop. I expect it will slow down a bit in the coming weeks but for now I’m happy to see the 140s getting further away. 😃 I have been doing yoga every day for 3.5 weeks and have added in a 30 min brisk walk at least 3x a week maybe more not sure yet. Slowing building up my workout routine. I was just thinking about my progress this month and realized I’m probably going to lose around 6lbs total. If I can do that for 2 more months I’ll be in the 120s and close to goal by summer!!! Very exciting.
04/28 - 138.9 (+.4) my muscles are sore all over the place from my last two days of workouts so I’m sure I’m retaining water. Just going to keep going and hope it falls off in a few days.
04/29 - 138.1 (-.8) less sore today, probably less water retention. Drank 12cups water yesterday. Hoping I get into 137s tomorrow. 😃
04/30 - 139.4 (+1.3lb) no way I gained all that back. I’m bloated again though so it’s likely that. I’m sure this will smooth out shortly. I have been doing more strength training so I’m sure there is water retention along with the bloat. Will see what the next few days bring.

This week went better than expected, average weight is lower than last week's. Gain today is probably from my take away last night, which I finished tonight, so expect more gain tomorrow. Very active day, built a bed, tidied up, cleaned, went for a run, did some yoga and a little bit of work. The run was unplanned, I suddenly had a surge of energy in the eve and thought I better go. TOM arrived, so hopefully that will also lead to a drop before the end of the round.
Overall really successful weekend, so I had to revamp the Ikea instructions 😋

04/23 got back into routine but decided on no weigh ins for a couple of days..Easter made me feel discouraged so not concentrating on the gain and being unaware of my weight I feel like will keep me on track.

04/29 - 204.7 - Today was a bit of a struggle for me. I planned and cooked this past weekend knowing that I wouldn’t have time to prep AIP/Paleo breakfasts and lunches. What I failed to do was figure out dinners for the week. I find that I am getting home starving and have no idea what I can make that is fast, easy and AIP/Paleo compliant with what I have in the house. I have made a few small slips, but overall I have managed to get through the day. I will need to allocate time this coming weekend for meal planning, shopping and cooking with all 3 major meals in mind.

04/23- 165.8 Although it’s a slight uptick from the past 2 days, I am happy with this. It’s my TOM, so I’ll be happy to hang around this weight for a few days. I’m watching my sodium.

Working hard today to get in those fluids & move more. Lots of housework today too.

04/25-today it was a 20,041 step day, once a week I can do it averaging 15,000 -16,000 which is really good for me. Drinking lots of water and eating healthy!

04/23- 327.8- I have MCAS and woke up in a flair this morning, swollen and rashy, so I’m surprised the scale went down at all, but I’m glad it did.
04/24- 327.8- this is a frustrating moment. I was soooooo good about foods, sodium, getting my water and even walking. I know that it’s fine that the scale doesn’t move but it just feels bad.
04/25- 328.8- if this is some cosmic test, I’m not feeling it. I stayed in my calories, I got my water in. I’m so frustrated and I don’t understand why I’m stuck in this limbo.
04/26- 325.2- yesterday was a bad day, and I went over my calories and had pie so I was sure that today would be an up day on the scale, but no! I am really glad to see the number move back to doing better today!
04/27- 328.2- this is so frustrating. I was so good about my calories and sodium and water, so this is a real downer.

I've been fighting off a cold for the last few days, but last night it took over me with a vengence , I dosed myself up and took to my bed early. Goal: Last round was sad. I was eating what I would expect to be maitenence (since Easter and other events) with making sensible choices while eating out, and upping my exercise, to gain a whopping 2kg (I think. Didn't weigh the last two days). If this wasn't bloat from alcohol I will be very disappointed.

Tu 30/04: 165.8: Goals ✖️Woke up after a bad night. My knee is swollen and I can barely move with the pain. Not much appetite either. The weight gain is all the fluid round my knee joint. Once the knee is sorted it will go.

Much fun yesterday made much better food choices today 😂 Rocking the night away. Had a prawn starter as a main and drank mostly water. Dancing until the small hours 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼
Su 14/04: no scale: Goals: Pack and drive home. Drive home was uneventful, but haven't eaten since lunch time. Tummy is upset, having an early night. Will weigh in the morning.

Sa 20/04: 164.2: Goals ✅ 🎈🎉🎈 73 today! I have had a brilliant day. Did lots of extra exercise so that I could indulge myself a little. I fully expect that weight may bounce up a little tomorrow, but hey! That's life.
Su 21/04: 165.2: Goals ✅ And there it is! Stayed under goal today, but a bit heavy on carbs so there might still be a wee bounce up tomorrow, because of water retention.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

04/23 - DNW - and we're home. 4 days of eating out, drinking in the evenings, hotel breakfasts, junk at cheer competition and service station stops - UUUGGGHHH! Why is quick "take-out" / on the road / mass event catering style food always so bad? A National Sporting event and it was all burgers, hot dogs, nachos, chips..... Glad to be home to get back on track and eat some colour again. Food for today planned and will get to the gym tonight for an hour. Just realised we only have 15 weeks till our main summer holiday so time for some serious action as equates to 10 JGM10 rounds left.... Off to unpack now and head to the supermarket for some decent food! Water is the aim of my day.....
04/24 - 146.3lb (+2.1lb) up from the weekend unsurprisingly - although knowing it would be up doesn't help when you actually see it Good food day planned for today, water bottle at my side and my target for the round is to end it lower than I started so need to lose at least 2.2lb over the next 8 days - totally do-able - just need to remain focused. Back to work but still feeling so tired from the weekend...
Nothing in the diary for those 8 days that means I can't remain focused so off we go!
04/25 - 144.7lb (-1.6lb) Pleased with that as it means most of the weekend excess and bloat has gone. Have planned and prepped today and will be at the gym for a PT session tonight. Had a late night last night as stayed up with my girls to watch the All Girls Junior Team England Cheerleaders win gold at the worlds in Orlando so need to try hard to resist temptations today (and will be another late one as the Seniors compete tonight!). Have a good one everyone
04/26 - 145.0lb (+0.3lb) STOP - Wrong way!! No problem with overall calorie intake but on the macros side yesterday was too carb heavy and I was way over on my carbs. Planned today a bit better so hope to see the scale drop tomorrow.......

04/28 - 142.5lb (1.1lb) - Happy days - had a lovely walk on Friday and did 12k steps and really been watching every morsel that passes my lips. Family roast dinner tonight but all within calories so even if the scales show a blip tomorrow I wont be worried and know it is carbs / water! Moving on down and feeling motivated! Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone
04/29 - 143.1lb (+0.6lb) as expected but not worried. Target for the round is 142.50 which I weighed in as yesterday so no reason I shouldn't get back there by the end of the round. Walk planned for tonight so will easily get my 10k steps in today, food all planned and prepped - ready to see the scale drop tomorrow
04/30 - 142.6lb (-0.5lb) Yay! 0.1lb to go to my round target and 2 weigh ins left. Did 14k steps yesterday as well so happy with that. Food planned and prepped for the day and gym tonight for an hour - so all good
05/01 - 142.1lb (-0.5lb) Excited!!!! Managed 8k steps plus an hour at the gym last night as well.
So pleased with progress this round - really feeling that I am "in the zone" - becoming a bit obsessed with planning and logging! Should easily hit my target tomorrow for the end of the round unless today goes really badly but everything planned and prepped so no reason to! Will try to get a walk in today of some sort but Wednesdays are so manic it is really hard to find the time. Actually looking forward to getting on the scale tomorrow morning - is that normal : ?
