Yesterday was a close call for my ‘under’ streak since January 28. My usual breakfast includes steel cut oats with some non-fat Greek yogurt mixed in. After my workout at the gym yesterday I was quite hungry all afternoon so ended up having some of the yogurt by itself, and I noticed that the label said whole milk Greek yogurt; the last grocery store visit we picked up the higher calorie version. I allowed this to get in my head and I binged on the entire container - 900 calories! That put me over my daily 1500 net goal by almost 500 calories. I am determined to stay under my daily goal, so I spent an hour on the rowing machine and burned off the overage, a full daily workout for the second time yesterday. I am no different from anyone else, and I can get frustrated and lose my focus; but I have a burning desire to be lean and trim - which means at the end of the day I AM going to be under my net daily calories of 1500! Thanks for reading.3

I can relate to what you shared because we both are men on a mission. You paid the price with the extra work to keep your impressive streak alive. It was really a small price to pay, one that I would have paid too.
I’ve got my own streak going right now and am 2 days to the finish line. Ain’t going to let anything or anyone break it. I guarantee it!
Keep marching forward.1 -
You handled it just fine..I would be saying if you were at goal the odd day like that is no biggie but I know this logging streak is really important to you2

My goal weight may be closer to 180 than 176. I’m now at 186 and I don’t believe I have 10 pounds of fat left to lose. I’m getting my body comp checked in a couple weeks so I will have some quantifiable feedback soon...1

That’s a leaner happy man photo in your avatar. I kind of miss the original Mr. Grumpy one. Congratulations on your progress. Keep marching forward all the way to the front door of your upcoming reunion.1

Thanks, the reunion is a stake in the ground. Another stake in the ground which I haven’t mentioned is the annual beach trip with my family in two weeks; and this year I’m very happy to say I won’t be mistaken for a beached whale 🐳🐳🐳 😁😁😁

One of my work associates (before I retired) and his wife are Irish American. Every year on St. Patrick’s Day he would bring her homemade soda bread in to the office. I always looked forward to that!1 -
@fh1951 yeah we enjoy our soda bread/farls and also we are famous for having Potato bread which is equally as good - we have both of those usually along with our traditional cooked breakfast (we call that an Ulster Fry), it either gets toasted or can be lightly fried and is served with bacon/sausage/mushrooms/egg/fried tomato oops I'm making myself hungry and I've already had my brekkie! LOL1
