4/23--211.4 So much bloating and feeling heavy from snacking the night before. Getting water in today. Worked out with trainer today.

4/25--210.7 Ran 2 miles yesterday and worked out with trainer tonight. I've noticed that I'm more bloated/heavy the last few days and when I look back at my diet I see that I've been eating some of the foods that I'm sensitive to...it's just a little here and a little there, but I think it's adding up. So today I got back to my regular eating...I even went out for lunch and ordered a salad that fits into my food sensitivity issues.
4/26--210.0 Did not get enough sleep last night. Tonight is my last dance class with hubby, other than that I am going to relax and get to bed at a decent time...rest is so important in muscle recovery/weight loss
4/27--208.9 There goes the rest of the bloat after making sure I don't eat food that I'm sensitive to. Went to the nutritionist this morning and she was so excited with how my eating/weight loss/working out is going...it was nice to get the support. Today I'm going for a run and then hubby and I are going to go through a box of pictures we've had for over a year and figure out where we are going to put up all of the pictures.
4/28--208.5 Ran 4 miles yesterday, perfect weather. Working out with trainer today, I usually don't work out with him on Sundays but since I won't be able to make it on my regular day of Tuesday I will be working out today.
4/29--208.7 Lots of snacking yesterday...my hunger really amps up on days that I workout with my trainer. Running today.
4/30--208.5 Great NSV yesterday...my plan was to go out and run as soon as I got home from work, but it started to rain. I was disappointed, I can't believe I am now that person who is disappointed about not running. Well, I made dinner and hung out with hubby and at about 7:30 I looked outside and saw there was a break in the rain, so I told my husband I was going for the run. My husband was shocked I was still going because I am that person that if I stick around the house for a couple of hours after coming home from work I usually have no motivation to go and work out later on. Instead I took the dog and did my scheduled 3 mile run... I was so proud of myself.
5/1--208.1 Feeling heavy today. Worked late yesterday and when I got home there was a lot of snacking, not because I was hungry but because I was tired...another snacking trigger that I have to be more aware of. Going for a run today and then yoga.
5/2--208.3 Ran 2 miles and then went to yoga. Yoga was great as we did most of the class up against the wall. It's amazing how much more of a stretch you can get by doing the stretch against the wall versus on the ground. Trainer tonight.

Goal: Last round was sad. I was eating what I would expect to be maitenence (since Easter and other events) with making sensible choices while eating out, and upping my exercise, to gain a whopping 2kg (I think. Didn't weigh the last two days). If this wasn't bloat from alcohol I will be very disappointed.
04/23-96.0 kg and 16,200 steps. This started well with dropping 1.3 kg compared to the bloat of last week. Lets hope it remains and I can finally see some progress!

04/23 337.2 Iโm surprised by this drop, especially since I was sure my sodium was high yesterday. But I guess it wasnโt as bad as I feared and I dropped water weight from the weekend. Iโll see what the next few days bring and not be surprised if I see a bounce up.
04/24. 338.2 Hey Iโm getting good at predicting the bounces. To be fair this number seems closer to what I thought I should be, so Iโm pretty happy with it.

Back again! Had a great trip though came back last Thursday with a cold and absolutely exhausted. Stepped on the scale Friday and it said 157.8!! That was partly the result of eating very little when I was driving because my stomach was off but still a very encouraging number. Goals this round โ stay in the 150โs and hopefully end with 157something, keep daily movement up.
I think the daily movement was what caused my loss while away. Meals were not low cal., although not too bad and almost no desserts, but was on my feet much, much more than at home. Lots of spring yard work to do so hoping that will do the trick.Round 39 (1st for me) โ SW 163, -.2Day/Weight/Comment

04/23 โ 159.4 โ Still a bit stuffy in the head and coughing but feeling better. Not healthy enough for a gym workout but planning to get out in the sunshine and clean off perennial beds. One of my favorite spring jobs โ seeing all the new growth and thinking of what I can plant.
04/24 โ 159.4 โ Feel like dragging around / sleeping all day because of the end of this cold and trip tiredness. However, I know how that will end โ eating all the wrong things and feeling down at the end of the day because Iโm still looking at all the stuff that needs to be done. Instead Iโm going outside in the sun and clear off perennial beds. Not a high activity job but still getting something done.

Reminded that itโs worth it to log all those โbadโ calories because while you may be over your goal, you may still be under maintenance. Logging keeps me from the โIโm over so I might as well eat junkโ attitude that actually sinks me.

Back for another round! Last round I ended with a slight gain, but I had a 5 day vacation, Easter weekend, and a family death that all happened in that round. Lots of eating out, stress, and family to deal with. So I was pretty happy that I was only up a couple of pounds and that I was able to pretty much maintain through all of that. I usually don't set goals for myself during these rounds, I just try and do my best and see what I can accomplish, but I will be setting 2 this round. I want to see a 146 something and I do not want to see a 150 anything on the scale the entire time. Good luck everyone!

04/23 - 149.4 nice drop of water weight to start the round. Water and food were both good all day and I am already on track for today. Would love to see a new low this week, so working hard and trying to stay in a deficit most of the week. At least Mon-Fri.
04/24 - 148.1 Back to where I was before I left on vacation and my Easter weekend took over. This was my lowest weight hit in round 73, so hoping to beat that in the next couple of days. I am also really close to hitting my next milestone on my happy scale app. Water and food are set for today and on track so far!
04/25 - 148.1 same as yesterday so I will take it. I had a beer and 3 shots last night with dinner, but ate light all day. I don't have a problem stress eating as much as I do with stress drinking. This month has just been so stressful all the way around. Yesterday my Senior and Junior in high school found out 1 of their friends (17 years old) committed suicide. That was after we found out my middle schooler (my autistic child) got into a fight at school. He had been doing so well and making really great progress, it just really hit me as a step back. So while cooking and eating dinner my husband and I had a couple of drinks. I had been doing so good, but knowing we have to go to this funeral on Saturday for my husbands grandma and now all of this I needed a drink, lol! Back on the wagon today. Meals are prepped, water is next to me, and I will not have any alcohol tonight.
04/26 - 147.6 I hit another milestone on my happy scale app today! Finally moving in the right direction after stalling for so many weeks. The weekend is here though and that is my downfall, so hoping I can stay on track.
04/27 - 147.6 same as yesterday. We had my DH grandmas funeral today, so it was not a great day. Just got home and I am headed to bed. Only ate 1 real meal, and pretty much drank my lunch. Iโm slamming a couple bottles of water before I go to sleep to wash some of the alcohol out of my system. We have to drive about hour and a half out of town tomorrow so that we can spread her ashes. So hopefully I can stay on track better. I donโt think I had many calories, but what I did have was not good calories. We will see I guess.
04/28 - 149.5 totally expected. Lots of alcohol, 2 very restless nights of sleep (today will be closure for everyone), and lots of Mexican food. Chili, cheese, tortillas, chips/salsa, sopapillas, and potatoes, amazing food, but a killer on the scale, lol. Iโm just checking in real quick because we are about to leave. We are all meeting at another Mexican restaurant and then driving down to the river to spread her ashes. My goal today is to stay out of the 150โs and I am right on the line, no alcohol (Iโm driving) and hopefully make some better food choices. I have not read any updates since Friday, so I will have to catch up on Monday when I get back to work. Hope everyone had great weekends!
04/29 - 149.5 Stayed under 150! I am back at work today and just trying to play catch up on here. You know you have had a couple of busy days, when your happy to be back at work to get some rest,lol. Yesterday we had such an amazing time. The place we went was so beautiful and peaceful that it wasn't sad or depressing at all. The kids were running around in the fields and playing, all of the adults were sitting around talking about old times and eating cheesecake (which I chose not to have a piece and that was hard). For the first time in weeks my hubby and I slept like babies. It was exactly what we needed to be at peace with this whole situation. I did ok food wise yesterday, pretty much only had 1 real meal and then snacked after we got home, and did not have a drop of alcohol. 3 more days and hoping to end this round at a new low!
04/30 -148.2 and there goes the weekend gain. Went to my daughters last choir concert as a junior last night, it really does go by so quick. Stayed on track all day yesterday and finished strong with dinner. Meals are planned for today and may actually get to sit on the couch and catch up on some of our shows tonight, which would be amazing.
05/01 - 147.3 I can almost see 146.xxx, it's so close, but probably will not make it this round, which is ok. Today is my anniversary and the hubby and I are going out to dinner just the 2 of us. It is a surprise where he is taking me, so I will do my best once I am there. I will stick to 1 drink, fish or chicken and salad or vegetables as a side. If I am up a bit tomorrow then so be it. I have been really good this round and will try to stay on track tonight, but am not going to stress about it. It does kind of suck that it is the night before our final weigh-in, but oh well I guess.
05/02 - 148.8 I'm ending artificially high, but am ok with it. Had an amazing night out with my hubby. I ate salmon and vegetables and only a couple of bites of the cherry creme brulee. So I was doing great until I caved and had not 1, but 2 spicy bloody Mary's. They are my favorite drink and I have stayed away from them for months because I know the sodium in just 1 is pretty much the sodium I am allowed for the entire day. So having 2 put me way over for the day, water will now be my best friend today, lol. I met goal 1 of not seeing a 150 at all this time, but did not meet goal 2 of getting to 146. My 10 day average is done just under a pound and I saw a new low of 147.3 so I'm happy with this round.8 -

04/23 - 140.3 (-.6lbs) nothing new been fluctuating here. Ready for some big losses. ๐ but on the bright side it is a loss.
04/24 - 141.1 (+.8lbs) extremely bloated today. Had stomach issues all night and just now barely feeling a little better but still bloated. Hopefully it clears up by tomorrowโs weigh in.
04/25 - 140.1 (-1lb) ๐ this is just funny at this point. I canโt seem to find 130s for the life of me. If there are any suggestions on how to get over a plateau please let me know. ๐
04/26 - 139 (-1.1lb) there it is, maybe the bloat finally went away and the actual weight it starting to show. I expected to be around this or a little less at this point but Iโm happy to finally see it drop. 140.whatever was haunting me.
04/27 - 138.5 (-.5lbs) Nice little drop. I expect it will slow down a bit in the coming weeks but for now Iโm happy to see the 140s getting further away. ๐ I have been doing yoga every day for 3.5 weeks and have added in a 30 min brisk walk at least 3x a week maybe more not sure yet. Slowing building up my workout routine. I was just thinking about my progress this month and realized Iโm probably going to lose around 6lbs total. If I can do that for 2 more months Iโll be in the 120s and close to goal by summer!!! Very exciting.
04/28 - 138.9 (+.4) my muscles are sore all over the place from my last two days of workouts so Iโm sure Iโm retaining water. Just going to keep going and hope it falls off in a few days.
04/29 - 138.1 (-.8) less sore today, probably less water retention. Drank 12cups water yesterday. Hoping I get into 137s tomorrow. ๐
04/30 - 139.4 (+1.3lb) no way I gained all that back. Iโm bloated again though so itโs likely that. Iโm sure this will smooth out shortly. I have been doing more strength training so Iโm sure there is water retention along with the bloat. Will see what the next few days bring.
05/01 - 138.3 (-1.1lbs) that looks much better. Not really enjoying the ups and downs but itโs part of the process I guess. As long as the long term trajectory is downward.
05/02 - 139.2 (+.9lbs) not sure why Iโm fluctuating so much but hopefully it starts to level off soon. Itโs frustrating because I was below goal for the challenge several times just to end falling short. Its ok though. Iโm sure it will come off in the next challenge as usual.

This week went better than expected, average weight is lower than last week's. Gain today is probably from my take away last night, which I finished tonight, so expect more gain tomorrow. Very active day, built a bed, tidied up, cleaned, went for a run, did some yoga and a little bit of work. The run was unplanned, I suddenly had a surge of energy in the eve and thought I better go. TOM arrived, so hopefully that will also lead to a drop before the end of the round.
Overall really successful weekend, so I had to revamp the Ikea instructions ๐

04/24- Not my regular routine this week my grandson is not feeling well, but tried my best to get exercise in.
04/25-today it was a 20,041 step day, once a week I can do it averaging 15,000 -16,000 which is really good for me. Drinking lots of water and eating healthy!

04/27-Worked on strength and yoga today feel a bad cough coming on.
04/28- Walked every day (3 miles) six weeks so far rain or sun.

04/23 โ 202.8 โ Gorgeous day! 60 minute walk on a moderately challenging trail, but gardening was limited to 10 minutes of deadheading daffodils before relaxing in the sun. Squeezed in some grocery shopping after the walk and got the dishes done. Not enough sleep last night, so my energy is flagging. Got my water in though. ๐
04/24 โ 201.6 โ Another beautiful day โ blue skies, sunshine, and the lilacs are blooming! Too pretty to stay indoors, so I took the dog for a long walk in the park (75 min, paved trail). Enjoying the last of the daffodils while I deadhead like crazy. Perennials are coming in, but so are the weeds! Rain moves in Thursday evening, so Iโll double down on chores then. Extra water! Chilly 40-min walk in the park before dinner, enjoying the scent of lilacs and freshly mown grass. Busy week ahead and lots of rain in the forecast, so Iโll try to squeeze in the walks when I can. The garden looks pretty good, but my indoor chore list is growing!!!

REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

4/25- 164-Iโm starting a bit late. I fell off the wagon at Easter then left town and ate bad. I cam back to take a quilting class the rest of the week and walked yesterday morning before I left, but sat all day and didnโt want to stop for lunch, so I ate chips when I got home and made dinner. Last night I made a salad to take today. I will walk 7 miles this morning before I leave and will hopefully be back on track!
4/26-163-Iโve been getting my walks in before my class. Iโve also been taking my lunch. It sure takes a while to get back to the lower number after eating bad for a couple of days. Not worth it. Itโs Friday!!!!!!!!!
4/27-162-Iโve been walking and making wise food choices. Long car ride today and eating out....weโll see.
