$388.39 and three stores later, I’m the proud owner of two pair of new shoes, two pair of Van Huesen dress kaki’s, two pair of Levi athletic-fit jeans (no more of the relaxed fit cut necessary) and three Van Huesen ling-sleeve shirts. Could have gone for a smaller size on the Levi!s but don’t like the feeling like my crotch is in a straight jacket.
Also got a haircut. Life is good and I’m blessed.
Life is good, isn't it?
I went Thursday and bought a selection of clothes AT Goodwill (probably not yours ) I'm wearing one of the shirts right now, it looks so good. I haven't been wearing shirts that fit, because we don't have a lot of money for clothes right now. I found a pair of Gap washable wool work pants that look fantastic on me and a few other workwear pieces.
It does feel good to get new clothes. I am also feeling blessed24 -
My husband said that I looked "all leggy and sexy" yesterday, dressed up for a wedding. My legs have usually been my worst feature, but this morning I could see a very definite taper between my thighs and my knees and calves. I have nice leg muscles!26

Two persons have asked me to go for a run with them this week. Love it.13

I am now just overweight, not obese or morbidly obese like I used to be. And when I got ready for my bike ride had to tighten the Velcro on my shoes because they were too loose.31

At church today, pulling up my new (smaller size) slacks even wearing a belt and thinking how much more pleasant it is than thinking how I can hardly wait to get home to take off the snug pants and put on the faded baggy green sweat pants on with the loose draw string.18

I did the happy dance I've been looking forward to for so long! 😄 My NSV was that I went to the supermarket this afternoon, filled up my basket and didn't buy a single treat! Not because I didn't want to reward myself, but because I didn't want to use food as a reward and I really want to make a success of maintenance!
Awesome!9 -
I wore a white tee shirt yesterday. In public. And we had our pictures taken from the back, to show the slogan (fundraiser for American Lung Association).
Did not die of embarrassment. \o/20 -
A pretty common nsv, but my pants, which were on the verge of bursting are loose and almost baggy .15

A month ago I bought some new business clothes as I had a couple of business trips beginning of April. Those clothes are now big on me. Yay! But tomorrow I'm going on another business trip and my wardrobe is now much more limited >.<12

I procrastinated and waited until the last minute to shop for a suit for an upcoming wedding, My NSV is that I bought a blazer, dress slacks and dress shirt off the rack in a "regular" department store. The best part - none of the items need alterations!28

Today in my boot camp class that I'm going to we had a circuit that was a minute of explosive push-ups where you jump with hands and feet off the floor at the top of each rep. I'm still 310 pounds so the instructor told me I could modify by doing them on my knees and just pushing hard off the floor.
I went for it and did 8 of them the normal way in a minute.
I'm also dying a little now that I'm ~4 hours removed fromt he workout.25 -
Yesterday at my son's college graduation, I wore a new dress with a slip that I haven't worn in years. That slip used to be so tight that I gave up wearing it. Well, when I tried it on it seemed like it was a little bit big, but definitely wearable. Then as I got out of the car (thankfully in a dark parking garage) the darn thing fell right off of me onto the ground. Yup, it slid down completely. So much for having a slip for the day. Good thing it was dark and rainy. Time to retire it! Haha.29

I couldn't wait to wear a dress in my closet that was too tight, fits great now and I don't even like the dress anymore! Oh well time to shop, I still like keeping the dress and seeing how it fits on me!14

The last week long training class I went to, I came back up 5 lbs and it took all week to get back to my starting point. This week long class, I came back the same weight and 3 days later I am 3 lbs down.12

My (pear) hips are now smaller than my waist was when I started taking measurements! And my waist is currently only 7cm (2.75 inches) larger than my thighs used to be. I can't get my head around it!30

Made a pan of brownies last night to take to the tattoo shop today and I only ate the one piece I had pre-logged, I did not eat the entire pan!!!30

I ran a half marathon on Saturday and beat my PR by nearly 10 minutes. New time to beat 1:57:36.25

After a long work day - I got a second wind and was able to go out for a long walk in the evening - improved stamina/energy is the best NSV for me!18

Two Non-Scale-Victories: 1. Went in for bra sizing this weekend and I dropped from a 38 to a 34 band. 2. While my weight stayed mostly the same for the last month, I lost two (2!!!!) inches from my waist!26

Went to Five Guys with the SO and DIDN'T buckle. I love Five Guys so much, but didn't have the calories in my "budget" as the trip was unexpected, so I grabbed my digital pocket scale and weighed out 60g of french fries (139 cals) and stuck to it. Doesn't seem like a big win, but my SO was destroying a double bacon cheeseburger across the table from me.

A week and a half ago I hit my previous deadlift PR from before I hurt my hip last year. Yesterday I beat it by 10lbs!
Two guys came up to me last week in the gym (separately) to ask if they had seen me in various places around town—I guess I am getting to be a fixture during midday workout hours. Hubs looked at me funny when I told him, until I mentioned said guys we’re at these places with their grandkids13 -

You are AWESOME! My personal tactic for eating at Five Guys within my calorie and carb allowance (I am diabetic and have to limit carbs):
First, run a half marathon. That way you will need plenty of carbs to replenish muscle glycogen.
Then ask for your burger wrapped in lettuce. Buns are boring and if you skip one you can eat more fries!
Unfortunately it isn’t usually possible for me to run a half marathon so weighing the fries is a very sensible idea!

That looks SO good. Also good job! What digital pocket scale do you have? I never thought about this4 -

It's a Weigh Gram Digital Pocket Scale, Top 600 model. It was $11 on Amazon and I carry it in my purse. I was told it was a "drug dealer" scale, but it works great for my needs (which do not include weighing drugs) Very accurate.16 -

Remind me not to search for that while at work lolol.4 -
Was standing at the vending machine because I'm just so stinking hungry and was about to purchase the cherry cheese danish that would have wiped out the rest of my calories for the day, when a co-worker came up and started talking to me about my weight loss and how she has noticed.
Decided I didn't need that danish after all...took a lap around the office instead!35 -
I put on a pair of jeans this morning and was able to pull them right down without undoing the button and zipper!21

One notch tighter on the belt.12

I don't know why but I feel like I haven't changed enough to actually post my own NSV in this thread so I basically come here to read others for motivation. But I will share this today:
I tried on this bra that I have it's very old but its actually a bra of color, not just black/white/beige like I'm normally wearing and it fits really good. it used to not fit as well. and then I found some old capri pants that I haven't worn since maybe 2017 and I tried those on. they are a smidge tight but I can button and zip them up no problem28
