05/03- Still have not seen any Spring weather foggy, rainy. Enjoyed playing basketball with the grand kids. Went for walk , kettlebell exercises and stretching. Have a great weekend!
05/04- busy day, went for a walk, cleaned the house, had my MRI, had dinner to celebrate our Anniversary it was in Dec. so we got together yesterday and ordered Chinese Food.
05/05- Weather was a perfect sunny day, enjoyed a walk with my husband.
05/06-Went for a three mile walk. I have so much energy, especially at the end of the day.
05/07- Did to much again today, I had to pick at dinner.
05/08- Lots of exercise today, 2 x walks, stretching, kettlebell.
05/09- Great news! 2 Thumbs up on my MRI. I have been picky with my meals.Good- exercise day.
05/10- Went for a long walk, did a lot of stretching and working on strength exercises.
05/11- Continued walking, I have walked every day since March 17, my legs are getting strong.
05/12- Happy Mothers Day! Still started the day with a long walk, then spent the day with family.

05/03 - 313.3 lbs - I felt good yesterday, and feel like I'm finally in a place to stick to it again. Glad I found this challenge!
05/04 - 312.2 - still feeling good. Working on writing when I want to eat so I can try to evaluate if I'm actually hungry or if it's a bored/emotional/binge thing. So far that's helping, I think...
05/05 - 310.4 - had a crazy busy weekend and was really proud of myself for not just allowing that to excuse poor eating choices. Made healthy food choices all weekend!
05/06 - 310.0 - I had gotten a little used to the water weight falling off, so what's stupid is that losing almost half a lb was disappointing. However, I am managing to keep carbs low without even really trying too hard. I'm trying to get used to only eating when I'm hungry, so far so good.
05/07 - 309.2 lbs - feeling pretty good. Kind of stressed because I'm getting ready for a rummage sale. But my brother brought over Pizza (my worst binge trigger) but I limited myself to just eating the toppings off of one slice. It put me close to going over my carb goal, but eating the whole slice would have been way worse. So I'm happy! ๐๐๐ Hooray for half way through the 10 days!
05/08 - 309 lbs - I slipped up and ate more than I wanted to last night. But still kept my carbs low. I'm not disappointed. I always hate the initial water weight loss when I first start because I get used to it, so I have to keep reminding myself this was all just water weight. And from now on, it's not going to be such drastic weight loss every day. It SHOULD be less than a lb fluctuation everyday (in either direction). So now I have to focus on sticking with it even when I don't show a big loss everyday. I'm doing the keto diet, and I feel like keto flu is creeping up on me. I have a headache that I cannot get rid of.
Also, for anyone else doing keto, (because it's been a long time since I started keto), but once you're first in Ketosis, do you notice you have a strong craving for meats and cheeses? Ever since last night, I feel like I can't get enough meat/cheese, which is weird. It's why I ate more than I wanted last night, and it's really difficult today to not just tear into the string cheese in my fridge haha!

05/10 - 306.8 lbs - I didn't weigh until after I'd had some water, so super pleased about it. I overslept today, and didn't have time to weigh before I had to take my daughter to school haha! The weight loss must be a "woosh". I think I'm getting the keto flu, feeling crappy today. But loving the lack of appetite haha!
05/11 - 306 lbs - Tired today, but definitely either getting a cold, or just the stupid keto flu. Not sure which. One of my random thoughts for today was that I love how the keto diet turns me into a frickin chef. I've been cooking bomb *kitten* food lately! So that's super fun haha!

05/03 335.8 Staying the same is fine with me. I had a higher sodium day yesterday and am having back spams since late last night. My energy level is back up, which will be nice once my back lets up.
05/04 334.8 Thereโs the after tom drop. My back is doing a lot better after a day of tlc and Iโll probably take it easy again today. Today is family movie day and Iโm hopeful of limiting or even avoiding the popcorn this time.
05/05 333.8 My usual continued drop after tom, sometimes the whole drop stays, sometimes I have a bounce back up. I guess Iโll see what the next few days bring.

05/11 334.2 I was expecting this up swing. I know that itโs from a splurge plus sore muscles and that it will be gone soon. I had a similar upswing the last few months at around this point in the month. Now that Iโm aware of this possibility I can prepare for it next month and plan for the salt/sugar cravings.

Goal: Maintain between 135 and 140 lb. and increase muscle mass
I started Round 54 and Keto WOE on September 24, 2018.
Cumulative weight loss for Rounds 54-70 = 43.6 lb.
NSV: 1) Iโve stayed between 133 and 137 lb. by (pretty closely) following a keto WOE.
2) Lab work a couple of weeks ago was normal with only one exception, slightly high LDL (bad cholesterol). HDL and triglyceride levels were very good! (In 2012, before I gained weight and started keto, I was slim, running, lifting, and the doctor attributed my LDL level to genetics.)
I canโt believe I missed 5 rounds, but Iโve continued to weigh daily, when Iโm home. Iโm glad I came back at the beginning of a roundโgreat timing! Tax season was followed by a 7-day cruise to celebrate my husbandโs birthday and the end of tax season. I ate and drank extra non-keto stuff and gained 3 lb. by the time I returned home, but itโs gone now.

05/03 133.6 I feel good, and, so far, Iโve found it easy to maintain my weight, thanks to limiting deviations from the keto WOE. Iโm confident enough to not bother counting calories and carbs (I learned what and how much to eat from my record keeping in the beginning.). Keto has truly become a way of life for me. Iโm not confident enough to stop weighing each morning. If weight is up, I cut back, and, if weight is down, I eat a little more. Itโs a rainy day, so no walk for Thor and me today.

05/07 134.8 I had some catching up to do here, but I still weighed every day. I took a friend to see the movie Breakthrough yesterday, and I ate a lot of popcorn. The movie was great. Chrissy Metz is a great actress, but I feel bad for her. I suppose her size helped her get the part. I ate a couple of keto taco cups when I got home, and I was still stuffed at dinner time. I managed to eat half of my stuffed salmon, but I put the rest in my spinach and cheese omelet this morning. That was good.
05/08 134.2 My Red Hat group had Italian food for lunch today. The restaurant didnโt have fresh salad greens, so I had soup and cannelloni (tasty, but not on my keto list). Iโm not stressing out since Iโm below the 140 lb. limit Iโve given myself. Itโs nice to have a little leeway.
05/09 133.8 A little low, but better than too high. I was supposed to play cards with friends today, but vertigo comes and goes, and this morning it was bad, so I stayed home. Iโm better now and finished a good Bible study. I donโt allow myself to post here until I complete my Bible studyโgotta have priorities and keep God at the top of the list! Now, I need to see about doing some housework, which I forgot to put on the list. Iโll play some Bob Marley for inspiration.
05/10 132.4 If I was still trying to lose, it wouldnโt drop without extra effort. Iโm only trying to maintain. Bob Marley (okay, his music) helped me get some housework done yesterday, but thereโs always more to do. The rains have been a blessing, but I look forward to a break so Thor and I can get back to our walks. Since the weather is warming up, we'll have to get up early to walk. I'm not good at early morning wake-ups, so that will require self-discipline.
05/11 133.4 This was a concert day, so I was up early and gone most of the day. I didnโt get my Bible study done, so I didnโt log in.
05/12 133 Last day, and Iโm still a little below my maintenance range. Thatโs okay, at least until I gain some muscle. After church and visiting my mother-in-law for Motherโs Day, I did my Bible study, but didnโt get online. I still wanted to finish this round and not leave it hanging.

GOAL. This month I am planning a non stop dieting month. The first week didn't go as well as planned so I am hitting the restart and refresh button. May 13th-JUne 13th I will be dieting non stop, fasting and will only allow 3 cheat meals at most (not days) and keep them limited to events I can not control (meaning no Saturday morning high calorie breakfasts that potentially will derail the rest of my day) this is an experiment to see what I could potentially accomplish if I stuck to it for the whole month.

05/03139.6 last round was a wash...it happens. I am back in it for May, i want to see what I can accomplish this month if I just stuck to it every day. If the odd day comes around (for this month mothers day and a concert I believe) I will treat it as a cheat meal...not a cheat day. Let the May-June 3rd challenge begin!!! (I was good the past two days but decided to begin with the new round) I got this!!! DAY 1 accomplished
05/04137-Day 2 accomplished a nice woooosh but yesterday was a very active day so not totally surprised. I know it's the 5th but I forgot to post last night and am going to post at the end of my day, before bed for more accuracy on the accomplishment
05/05 137 day 3 x after a busy day today I was only left with left over options so it wasn't a good day. If I can end this month on a three day x than I will be happy. I am not happy it happened so early in the month and hope it isn't a foreshadowing but what can you do

05/12 140 double yikes. So mother's day weekend, i can already tell you was a bigger hoop-la (sp?) Then I had anticipated. The gain is real. I really do want to try the month straight as an experiment and since I make the rules I will be re-tryumg. I will also be attempting 16-8 fast as well. I am finding my stomach (hunger-wise) has not shrunk, which is dangerous on more indulgent days....as you can see. So I , hoping the fast forces control and shrinks my appetite...That way those off days aren't totally awful.

5/3 173.3 Down a little. Walked three miles yesterday after work. I had the bright idea that I was going to walk down to the creek to check the water level after 3 days of rain. Three days of rain means mud... slippery mud.
5/4 173.1 Still going down if only slightly. Good food day yesterday. My trail walk turned in to an indoor walk thanks to more kitten rain.
5/5 173.8 Attended my great nephew's 1st bday party yesterday. Food served: hot dogs, potato chips and cake. Even when I wasn't watching what I ate I would not eat hot dogs and potato chips. I hate both. So Saturday was a bad food day, good breakfast but a carrot cake cupcake for lunch. I worked in the yard for a couple of hours before I went to the party. I know I shouldn't have this much yard work to do but the first 3 weeks were tree/brush clearing. I was able to burn the first of the wood I cut myself in the firepit, probably the best part of the weekend.
5/6 174.3 Sunday wasn't much better food wise but I mowed, planted a ton of flowers, and got in a 2-mile walk. I was too tired to go much further and the trail was too muddy to try. I learned my lesson falling in the mud.
5/7 172.6 Whoosh!!! Almost 2 pounds overnight, adios agua! The weekend was actually mentally very taxing. Too much family, one friend got sick while on a 1 man road trip - he's 2 states away and I am helpless. Finally a reminder of my bf's cancer (technically in remission) which as he calls his early expiration date. He's losing weight but hasn't changed his diet. I ended up leaving work yesterday to "work from home" (yes I know how lucky I am to have this privilege). Which I did until 3:30, then I went for a walk. I had already committed to giving the roommate a ride home from work, so I stopped my walk took her home and went back for another 3 miles. Five miles total, in the woods, part of it in the rain. It's just what my soul needed. I am so happy to have found something that soothes me that's not ice cream/doughnuts/pepperoni pizza.
5/8 172.8 Slight jump. Did weights last night, might be a little water retention from that. Driving to StLouis today, driving back to KC tomorrow. Iโll walk tonight, looking for a new StL trail.
5/9 No Scale Good day yesterday. Walked 4 miles - fastest time yet 1hour and 3 minutes. I'm getting so close to 15-minute miles I can taste it. Way under on calories, so probably I'm up... hahahaha Driving home today and then a hair appt this afternoon.
5/10 172.3 Woohoo for Round low! An unexpected trip to Colorado this weekend. One of my best friends is in the hospital and not doing well. I have to go see him. No scale and three days of eating out Since itโs such a long drive (8.5 hours) Iโve scouted a few places to walk. Good juju for my friend, he has multiple blood clots in his lungs and
heart and is in ICU. Iโm not going to use this as an excuse to self-harm which is what eating badly really is for me.

I kept walking every day. Very happy about this.
I started noting what I ate - not every day - can be better.
I lost 1.2 pounds. I didn't reach my goal, but it's a start!4
