This is only around a 4 pounds difference. And you cant really see a difference. But I can feel the difference in these shorts!!!
I never show above my knees bc I hate my thighs. I'm using these shorts as motivation to see how much I can lose before the 14th so I can wear these for my best friends birthday
I can see a difference!
I can see the difference. Wonderful work and great progress. Congrats!3 -
a couple...
1.) YEARS ago there used to be a "diet" type of cereal commericial on tv, that used to have a woman on there saying
"if you can pinch more than an inch from here (her upper and lower sides) you should ( start eating that cereal or something) to help you lose weight. WELL....I literally do not have even an inch of fat on my upper and some of my lower side-YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY! Well, I have wayyyyyyyyyy more than an inch on and around my upper and lower tummy area--gots a long way to go there, BUT to not have an inch of fat anywhere on me is thrilling beyond words, period.
2.) I got up extra early this morning and did some offical wee non-N.E.A.T. exercising (including walking 3+ miles and NOT to the grocery store, just purposeful"exercising" type walking and it was fabulous). This may not sound like much, but it's a HUGE deal to me and a super NSV for sure!19 -
size 12 jeans
sleeping is ten million times more comfortable
getting up off the floor is easy and can be done hands free21 -
I was putting lotion on my upper back yesterday and was shocked to feel how hard it was. I used to have so much back fat I had to do contortions to get out of my pull-on sports bra. Seems like most of the back fat has gone and by weightlifting I’ve built some muscle!20

I just took of my wedding, engagement and eternity rings WITHOUT the help of moisturiser! My fingers are thinner! WOOOHOO!
Now I can take them off when i do deadlifts!13 -
Guys keep hitting on me every time I step away from my husband! First at a concert my husband and I went to last weekend, I was walking to the restrooms and smiled at a guy I passed and his wife says, “Would you stop making eyes at other women?” Oops, I guess she meant me! Then this weekend my husband and I went to a festival and did the 5k there. We took turns using the porta potties before and after the race, and during the maybe five minutes total he was gone, three different men came over and started chatting me up. My husband came back and was shaking his head and laughing, saying he can’t take me anywhere. Since my husband and I go to most social events together I guess usually other men see him and don’t bother me, so I’m not used to this! It’s particularly flattering after running a race in the heat since I was the opposite of put-together, no makeup, hair stuffed in a ponytail.15

I took a yoga class last summer with an instructor new to me and was fat shamed. She literally looked at me, rolled her eyes, and though she didn’t say it, I clearly heard the thought, “What are you doing here?”First and only time in my life I have felt fat shamed. I always work hard and try every position an instructor gives, even if I can’t do it, so I felt she was particularly disrespectful and hurtful. I never took her class again. Yeah, I can bear a grudge with the best of them.
Well, I needed a class Saturday and hers was the slot I needed so I sucked it up and took it.
I hit every arm balance she introduced and, since I’m working on headstand away from the wall, I held tripod position, balancing my knees on my elbows, though I didn’t put my feet up in the air. I noticed that most the other students weren’t hitting or even trying half of them, so I was silently proud. (Arm balances are my goal for 2019.)
After class she walked up to me, clearly puzzled and asked what my name was, and told me what a good job I’d done.
You should have seen her face when the Pilates instructor walked in just then and said,”Hey, Mel! Staying for Pilates like usual? I’ll check you in.”
BTW, I just turned 58.
This, my friends, was an NSV of the first order. I would frame it and hang it on the wall, if I could.50 -
I spend the weekend with adult friends with no kids (I have a 7 year old at home) and didn't go crazy with food or alcohol. I didn't track, but I was aware of my food intake and didn't overdo it too much. And I even got up both mornings for a run!14

Went to a music festival over the weekend and had several NSVs:
1. I wore a strapless romper.
2. We walked over 25 miles for the weekend, on top of hardly ever sitting down.
3. I usually pig out at festivals, there is good food and beer everywhere. This time, I had one or two things that sounded good and split it with my boyfriend. I actually ate under my calorie goal everyday.21 -
I went to a friends b-day party and although I am sure I went over my calories (I didn't end up tracking) I know I didn't end up eating nearly as much as I would have in the past! I would sometimes reach for something and catch myself, asking are you hungry or just want the food? I did have some things just because I wanted them but in way smaller portions!
Also I did not drink alcohol!!!! Normally I just drink less because I'm worried about the calories but this time I just didn't feel like drinking! It was really nice waking up and not feeling like crap the next day.20 -
My most recent NSV. Pulled out a fanny pack that I hadn't touched since last February. I hadn't adjusted the straps or anything since then.
This is how loose it is on me now.
I still have a good bit of weight to lose still, but this just shows me how far I've come.

That's a great visual, @LiLee2018!!!3

3 reps of 30 second dead hang and 25 neutral grip assisted pull-ups today!12

It’s only been 20days of tracking (lots of those days I was over) but
1. I can already see + notice a difference in my clothes fitting better.
2. I’ll need to find a used bench + bar & plates soon since I’ve now surpassed the dumbbells I have.

What an incredible visual!9 -
Went to a local burger place and sat in a booth instead of a table. Before I didn't fit in their booths. Now I have room to spare. Also I didn't eat much and stayed way below my target for lunch.15

Pushed out my stomach as far as I could (just a wild hair:) and could still see my feet!! Used to have to suck it in to see my feet. 🤣18

I was called skinny mini from someone at the gym who had gaind weight (hope I can inspire her) and another lady I hadn't seen for a long time said I bet you are proud of yourself, you would not have worn that skimpy top before and she is right, 40 lbs heavier I would never wear that top. Felt good.19

Got to share the bad with the good, call it a reverse NSV.
Recently shared how Garmin gave me a VO2 Max bump to 44. Yesterday, they took it away so it’s back to 43.
I’ll reclaim it soon.10 -
I worked in my yard for 4 hours yesterday, which is good by itself but the NSV for me was I did it in shorts and a sports bra, which is kind of crazy but it was hot! I was going to put a tank top on and thought what's the difference? About six inches of tummy and back... So I did it. After the first 5 minutes, I forgot about and just worked. I would never have done that a year ago. Not that I look like I should now, but now I have the confidence to do it. That's my NSV.26

I've been reading this thread since I started three weeks ago. I had my first check-in today and I have lost 2% body fat and 2 inches off my waist! I can't wait to contribute even more NSV's as I go! Oh, and my PT said I am strong, I never would have thought that about myself.16
