Clothes NSV are the most fun for me. I bought a pair of 14 jeans at Goodwill thinking they'd fit in the fall, tried them on to see how tight they'd be and bang not only do they fit I can wear them in public without embarrassment. I'm also wearing a Medium - SIZE MEDIUM shirt. Never in my life have I worn a medium. I feel both tiny and huge. I think both are just brand sizing related as I still have 16 jeans that are tight but it felt good. Same thing on the shirt.16

There is something about wearing a size you never imagined you would be able to wear again. It makes you feel so good and proud of what you have accomplished.
I was wearing XXXL shirts and now it XL or even a L. Makes me smile just thinking about it.
Keep up the good work, it is worth the effort.16 -
I just posted on another thread yesterday, how I can hardly remember being obese and overweight anymore and that I don't have many pics of me being obese (because I hid/avoided like the plague from and gave the "stink-eye" to anyone trying/daring to take my pics when I was fat). Last night, my husband pulled out his old i-pad and had a bunch of pics of me DURING the beginning (3-4 months into it and about 20 something pounds less than my highest weight of 219.8lbs) of my weight blastification adventure (he took them on the sly, without me knowing)...and I was super mega HUGE, wow...my head/face looked 2 times (or more) the size it is now--my body was super bloated/big ( and I was around 200-190lbs or so in these pic)s-- I was super happy that I was ridding my body/mind/soul of the excess weight/heaviness back then). What's my NSV? Those days of obesity and woe are FOREVER over, I'm so very GLAD to no longer be obese or overweight. I am so GLAD I've grown accustomed to and love my new lifestyle of being slim and trim and embracing mental, physical, spiritual health and happiness now!21

I have run 5ks before, but I don’t run a *ton*... but I recently started weight training and a few days ago had to sprint a little over a block with all my stuff to make the bus, and it was way easier than I remember running being. So... yay!18

I finally stopped wussing out and did a box jump on the highest box at my gym! Wow xD25

Pants are slipping down and need a belt now rather than always pressing on the button11

Logged 1000 days today!, none of them perfect but more good than bad, logged regardless. Lost 103lbs, now for final push, got too comfortable, want to lose 30-40lb more, here’s to the next 1000 days. Never committed so long to healthy lifestyle before, kinda proud of myself 😊
You are such an inspiration! Pure determination in action!! Thanks for sharing and here's to another 1000! 💃🏼11 -
I bought two new pairs of jeans at Goodwill today, size 2. My first pair of skinny jeans! I swore I'd never wear them, but they fit soooo well. They make my quads look fantastic!
I was in a hurry, so I didn't get to try on shirts - I bought a bunch of cute shirts and they all fit and looked fantastic! I can't wait to wear my wardrobe of clothes that fit!
I finally bought some clothes, people are asking me if I lost more weight - nope, just bought clothes that actually fit!15 -
Have a ways to go but seeing many buttons done up quickly has me so happy. The wedding is in 5 weeks, started as size 16, the dress is size 12.

I was able to do 15 regular push-ups without stopping at the gym on Friday. When I started working out in Feb. I couldn’t even do one; I had to do knee push-ups. Never in my life have I been able to do this.27

I had 2 victories yesterday.
I went to a big box store to buy 15 bags of mulch, of course the kind I want is in the back of the outdoor section not out in the parking lot for easy loading with all of the rest.
I had my cart ready to load when a worker stepped in and told me he would open up the delivery bay and for me to load up, he proceeded to carry one bag up to the register while another guy opened up a special lane to check me out, then carried that bag to my car. I drove around and the guys all loaded up my truck. Oh and they charged me a super discounted price for “damaged’ bags.
I’m glad I put on that new sundress yesterday! I’ve bought hundreds of bags of mulch of the years, no one ever helped me load them.
Second, my husband and I finally lost enough weight that we can both ride on his motorcycle. We went for our first ride together yesterday!34 -
Just got back from my first cycle ride as a ride leader.
It was great fun. Only one participant and an "uninteresting" urban route but it was really good fun.
Am going out this afternoon to recce another (longer, rural) route that I may lead!15 -

I thought you were going to say you effortlessly lifted and carried multiple bags at once, LOL.

My husband gave me a hug and said “Hey, there’s less of you to hug!”13

My NSV for today - I wore leggings out in public for the first time and didn't feel like I was too fat to be wearing them!19
-
I put my husband's sweater on and could zip it. It didn't look good, but it zipped18
-
I finally got into the bathing suit I bought back in 2010... and it not only fits (for the first time!!!), it's actually a bit loose!18
-
My new "smaller" jeans are loose enough to pull down without unbuttoning after only having them for about a week and a half!!!13

Got to the last mile on my long run (7m this week) and had enough energy to speed up. I ran my last mile at my ideal 5k race pace of 11minutes per mile which I haven't managed in years so I'm starting to believe I could actually manage to do a 5k in under half an hour again, which has been a very distant dream.15

I just joined the local branch of the Ramblers Association.
I’ve done a fair bit of solo hiking now, but I don’t know many trails and I need to get practice at hiking in company before the big charity hike this autumn. So I rocked up to join a bunch of fit people I don’t know on one of their A grade (‘strenuous’) walks in the hope that my assessment of my fitness was correct (I knew I could do the distance and the ascents, I just hoped I could walk it at the same speed they did).
It turned out that my assessment of my fitness was not entirely correct, as I overtook the leader on an uphill while talking nineteen to the dozen. He has cleared me to do any A walk I feel like plus the gentler hill walks. I had a great time, and now I am looking forwards to seeing lots of new areas of the country and improving my fitness to the point at which I can do their more strenuous hill walks as well!
Not bad for someone who, three years ago, weighed 385 lb and had ankle issues that gave me pain walking a couple of hundred yards...43 -
I met some of my best friends and my husband in a hiking club! The social aspect is a bonus.12

I met some of my best friends and my husband in a hiking club! The social aspect is a bonus.
The social aspect is also an important one for me. I moved away from all my friends a year and a half ago to do an MSc, of course all my fellow students have scattered to the four winds, and so I know very few people locally. It would be nice to make a friend or two - if anyone can put up with my talkativeness during uphills10 -

I didn't make it to the gym Friday, figured no big deal because I had a ton of push mowing to do around my place and I thought that would be a good workout. I push mowed for about 45 minutes before rain forced me to stop; the terrain I was mowing is bad with lots of ruts and obstacles and I didn't even break a sweat, so much for a good workout...It's awesome to be fit enough to be able to do physical work without getting completely wiped out for the rest of the day!21

I put my wedding dress on at the weekend 7 months after buying it, 10 months until the big day, and its fits SO much better than before! My back doesnt spill over the top and i actually have visible shoulder blades. Im so bloody happy!38

How I embrace and "adopted" a new way of looking at "perfection". One of the reasons it took me almost 7 years to get the weight off and keep it off (7 years to get from a size 22w to a size 8) was my self-imposed "prison/box" of perfectionism and/or the dreaded ALL or NOTHING way of thinking and living. Today, I no longer see the idea of perfection as, ummmm, perfect...but "BETTER and MATURE" (accepting things I won't (not can't but won't) be able to change and moving on mentally, physically and spiritually AND changing the things I CAN/will be able to change. My old mind-set of perfection being no issues, no problems, getting my way or not having to WAIT for change and not welcoming struggles as a MUCH needed friend is GONE--again, seeing/believing/thinking/behaving that perfection now means to me improvement and taking my time and doing it right and righteously, instead of allowing/giving place to impulsiveness and anxiety when things don't go as planned, when people, places and things don't happen the way I'd like them to, or are not good for me, to ACCEPT that and handle said people/places and things with the POWER of choice, instead of going along to get along and/or when (not if...but WHEN) I fail/fall--it's NOT the end of the world, just get back up--dust myself off and start all over again (as the old song goes). This is a major league NSV to/for me!17
