Goal: Last round was disappointing. Did manage with the steps though! With hope it is just water retention keeping last rounds goals - see a 93.xx and walk 10k daily.
05/23-95.4⚖️ and 6,500🚶♀️. Was terribly tired yesterday and it rained crazy in the evening right when I planned to take my evening walk. Not a good start. Trying to keep positive (starting high is easier to see the numbers fall ) Will give a couple more days before I remove the checkmark from the 2nd goal. Let's hope I don't have to.
05/24- 95.0⚖️ and 13,200 🚶♀️. Ran a bit will try to get my timing bettet. Goal:5k in under 45 min.
05/25-95.0⚖️ and 4,700🚶♀️ 0.5km 🏊♀️ 10km 🚴♀️.
05/26-95.3⚖️ and 11,500 🚶♀️(5k race!) 12 km 🚴♀️. Race goal ACHIEVED : 5K in 44:25! Next goal to maintain this at least one more time. As for weight - I don't know what happened but the higher weight category just stuck (I was floating around 94.5 for a while until the scales just showed 95.7 one day and didn't really come down from there for 2 rounds now) so I need to remove my 2nd goal check-mark
Proud of all the sports I've been doing lately will keep up with that till I have the powers to jump on the significant diflict eating wagon, will keep on maintenance calories for now, unless I see the weight will start increasing. Then I know I'm doing something wrong.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

What?!?!?!? Give up?!?!? That's NOT in our vocabulary here! You're just frustrated, right? You may have to alter your weight loss plan, but you can't just give up! We're with you! It would be too sad to let yourself down! You can do this!10 -
ROUND 78 (Round 20 for me)
5’4 ½” 67 y/o Texas Lady
SW 178 lb.
Goal: Maintain between 135 and 140 lb. and increase muscle mass
I started Round 54 and Keto WOE on September 24, 2018.
Cumulative weight loss for Rounds 54-70 = 44 lb.
I started and finished the last round below my maintenance range. I like the keto WOE and, mostly, stick to that, but I add extra carbs when I’m under 135.

05/23 134.4 Ten days go by so quickly! Yesterday, I did a 3.5 mile walk with my dog, Thor, in the morning and strength training in the afternoon. Today was a rest day, and I played Canasta with friends. My shoulders were sore today, so I’m glad it was a rest day.
05/24 134.2 Thor and I walked about 3.5 miles today. We jogged about a half mile of it, only up-hill and flat areas—no down-hill. My knee isn’t bothering me now, the orthotics have relieved the Morton’s Neuroma problem in my toes, and I’m pretty sure I can work up to running again. I miss running 5K and 10K races. I’m sticking with the strength training, too, and that helps my knees.
05/25 132.6 Part of this drop is because we didn’t get to bed until 3 a.m., and I didn’t get up until almost 11:30! A late start makes for a short day. Tonight, I don’t plan to stay up that late. I haven’t don’t today’s cardio workout in my strength training program, so I’m about to do that. Tomorrow morning, I leave early to sing, with our gospel group, at a church in the area, so I’ll miss my own church service. Since I lead the singing at my church, I try not to miss very often. My sweet husband will take over tomorrow, but he’d rather just play his guitar and let me lead.
05/26 134.6 I intended to go to bed early last night, but it was after 2 a.m., and up again at 6:30. (sigh) That always results in a higher scale number, but it’s still under maintenance, and I had a good day. The morning concert went well, and I took a nap before working in the yard. I didn’t get my strength training in, but tomorrow’s another day.
Before dark yesterday, my husband brought Thor in and said Thor had alerted on a rattlesnake in the yard. My husband said he’d take care of it, so I continued with my cardio workout. A few minutes later, DH knocked on the back door and again on the front door before I could get to either, so I went out to look for him. I grabbed a hoe and heard the snake in the front yard before my husband showed up with a spade. Well, the rattlesnake waited for me to go back in the house and get my revolver loaded with snake shot, and I ended his threat to our tranquility. What I didn’t realize until later was that I was in the front yard, shooting a snake, while only wearing short shorts and a bra. Fortunately, we live in the country, and it’s possible only my husband saw me. Praise God, all is well.
05/27 133.8 I said I was skipping my strength training workout last night, but, at 1 a.m., I just had to do it. This morning, 11 a.m., I completed my cardio and stretching workout. So, I’m still on track with my strength training program. I’m afraid if I give myself a break, I won’t stop with just one. That’s how I gained back the 40 pounds I had to lose again! I want to think I’ve learned my lesson. Time will tell. No walk for Thor this morning, since I was up until 4 a.m. and didn’t get out of bed this morning before it got too hot to take him for a long walk. I will do better tomorrow morning.

Round 10 for me, and have been slacking some. I feel like I am losing my motivation and hubby starting to eat out again. This makes it very hard to lose weight, at least for me. 05/23 – 195.8 not off to a good start again (a gain). I ate too much last night, and can’t let it bother me and get my head back in the right place. I am losing motivation early in my weight loss (its only 3 months since I started over again and been steady)
05/24 – 193.4 this was a surprise, was not expecting
05/25 – 195.6 I am sabotaging myself and I don’t know how to stop. I have to get my head back in the game. Last night I was binge eating ( I finished the fish and at more watermelon and didn’t log it.
05/26 – I did not weigh, skipped out this weekend, have been binge eating primarily healthy just over abundance of choices. I have been struggling and just gave in to the binging.

05/26 – 144 – My rings were very tight this morning, so I’m assuming this was water weight. However, after our picnic today, I’m sure I will be up tomorrow due to the food and drinks. It’s OK though, one day won’t derail me and we had a lot of fun.

05/23 – 197.2 – Up a bit to start. Thunderstorms on and off all day, so no walk. But I got lots of errands done and dropped the car off for service. Good food choices and plenty of water, but I’m feeling sluggish today. Guess I need to work on my sleep too.
05/24 – 195.8 – And down a bit more. With the car in the shop, I got tons of stuff done in the house and easily met my step goal. Went out for ices with the grandkids after dinner and still stayed under my calorie limit. Overall, a good day.
05/25 – 195.0 – Nice drop going into the weekend, but I expect I’ll see a bounce back up on Tuesday after the long weekend. Worked all day in the garden and finally finished the deck boxes. Such a perfect day for it – mostly sunny with low humidity and a cool breeze – that I think I overdid it a bit. I’ll be stiff tomorrow, but I’m perfectly relaxed tonight after a hot shower and a glass of wine. (Oh, and all goals met today!)
05/26 – 195.0 – Holding steady. On the road for a family BBQ today.
05/27 – No scale – Way over on food and under on steps, but I’ve had two fantastic days with four generations of family, including all my kids and grandkids. Best workout was walking and rocking my new granddaughter

05/25- Today Was a take it easy day, went for a manicure/pedicure, lots of bad thunderstorms today.

05/27-I did a lot today, cardio, kettlebell exercises and lots of stretching. Did not get a good night sleep last night.

First timer on message board and challenge.

Recovering from abdominal hysterectomy and benign tumor removal on 4/02/2019. It was recommended I see a nutritionist since my activity is low to non-existent with 12 week recovery. It was fortunate I visited the community page on MFP and found this challenge. The challenge helps with accountability.

05/23 - 183.4 - first day of logging food and weighing portions.
05/24 - 181.4 - yesterday I made a conscience effort to drink all my water, smarter food choices, weigh all food portions and no eating after 7pm. I decided my 12 week recovery doesn't entitle me to eat whatever and whenever.
05/25 -181.1 - I'm happy with the loss since I was not as diligent with water in take and had dinner at 8:30 pm. One of my college sons home and I waited to have dinner with him. I am hoping to go for a 3 mile walk today.
05/26 - 181.6 - I'm finding it challenging to eat before 7:00 pm with all my family home. We had another late night dinner and staying up way too late. I decided to enjoy my family over the holiday weekend and focus on fine tuning my eating and time frame on Tuesday. I won't go crazy with my food choices, however, I will allow myself to enjoy and (try) not to feel too guilty over the holiday weekend.
05/27 - 181.2 - a little more water yesterday. I believe I will have better focus for the remainder of the challenge. I enjoyed the holiday weekend with my kids being home.

05/26 149.9, heading back home later this afternoon. Had Nashville hot chicken and it was so good. Very happy that’s not available where I live since no temptation now haha

05/23 181 lbs - went out with a friend last night and had some Mexican food and two cocktails, so I was expecting a bit of water weight this morning. Hoping to have dropped it by the weekend, but I’m positive I will.
05/24 178.9 lbs I was hungry most of yesterday even though I wasn’t even that active. I snacked on strawberries mostly and drank lots of water.
05/25 179.3 lbs No idea where this comes from. I was well within my calorie limit yesterday and even worked out some 🤷♀️
05/26 178.4 lbs Sometimes I don’t get it. Had burger (without the bun) and a few fries yesterday and was sure I’d gain a pound of water weight because of the sodium alone. I guess I did sweat it out in the gym last night 😜
