JUST FOR TODAY -- One Day at a Time .... Daily commitment thread for 2019

@Snowflake1968 - It's not particularly shorter - it's just that I spent the entire weekend grading and I didn't post, so the "checking in" part is missing2
-
@AJB1014 - You look amazing! And so happy I'm excited for you!1

JFT 5/28:
1. Get in my minimum 250 steps/hour (thanks to Fitbit for nudging me when I'm sitting too long!)
2. Don't freak out in my MRI this evening.
3. Walk Robbie this evening before dinner.
4. Pack my lunch the night before.
5. Re-stock dry snacks in my car for travel time.
I've been going strong for a little over 2 weeks logging daily and I'm really happy about being back in that habit. With having such a long way to go to hit my goal weight, my focus is on the short-term: Get back to a regular workout routine, push past some of those bad eating habits, and be easy on myself. After my car accident it's been really hard to stay motivated to get in the gym on the regular because of the sheer amount of pain I'm in afterward, BUT...life goes on, pain is getting better, now onto the refocusing of energy toward healthy weight loss.
If anyone else is dying out in the heat....stay cool and be safe!6 -

Lots of fruit & veggies

Took it easy today and accomplished most of my goals! I am still feeling a bit sluggish from my period-but definitely a little better tonight than I was last night or this morning. Hoping a good nights sleep makes all the difference.
Tomorrow I have only one meeting and that is it so I am planning to get in a really big workout and also get a few things done around the house. I really hope I sleep well tonight. I need a good nights sleep in a big way.
@Snowflake1968 Thank you! And I hope you hear soon about that job! Fingers Crossed!!

Log accurately
60 minutes intentional walking
Productive work day
Store to pick up stuff for Wednesday family dinner
Finish stack of papers -with the holiday, I forgot tomorrow is trash day, so I got that together and out and picked up some other stuff. Good news is that I came home and did something productive.
Tired tonight. Storms that moved through were loud. Tornadoes touched down in this area and did quite a bit of damage. One fatality reported. Even though it was not in my immediate area, was hard to sleep until they moved on. Going to get good night sleep tonight.

@HEGoddard0928 Hey Hannah! Good to see you! I just wanted to tell you that my dad was a behavior analyst. He got a job working at a State Hospital doing that. He made a great living as a behavioral analsyt. Good luck in your pursuit! P.S. You continue to make me chuckle over doing your dishes! How is Matt feeling, by the way? Did he get any answers yet?
@Snowflake1968 The wedding is sneaking up really quick! You must be having so much fun right now. Enjoy every bit of it! I had so much fun helping my daughter prepare for hers... ❤️
@cschmitz110515 I'm so happy to see you! I was thinking of you on Saturday, wondering if you went to the Farmer's Market. I suspect they probably didn't have a lot of produce yet, but oh how fun it bad to be to be at the Farmer's Market finally after this longgggggggg winter! I've been meaning to ask you where you got your rain barrels... I'd like to have one here for watering plants, etc. but not sure where best to get one. Hope all was well at your appointment. I'm sending hugs back at you! xoxo
@jacqui2494 Congratulations on the grandbaby! How exciting! You sure did hit a nerve with me when talking about seeing yourself in photos. I was looking at our pics from our trip to Arizona in February and I could not find one single picture in which I didn't have 3 chins and a protruding belly. It sure was an eye opener for me. Very humbling...
@MLHC1 I haven't been carving time out for devotional reading either. Thank you for posting this. It was a good reminder. You are doing so great! I'm inspired by you!
@ginnytez The older I get, the harder it is to go to work week after week! I have 5 years and 10 months before I can retire, but sure am hoping something changes so I can do it sooner. My husband is retired and has been for about 4 years. I look forward to not having a schedule every day! P.S. Face timing with your son beats sorting papers ANY DAY!!!
@bookmeister86 Good luck on your French exam!!! You've been working on this for such a long time! I'm excited for you to get a break. :flowerforyou:
@Faebert and @Clicketykeys You both continue to amaze and inspire me! ❤️
@lafayettenana Have a GREAT weekend on your upcoming "chick" weekend! I have a group of high school girlfriends and we always say we are going to get together for a weekend but never do. We did lose one of us a few years ago, so this is a good reminder to stop putting it off! I think maybe I'll take the bull by the horns and plan it myself this year. I hope you continue to recover and feel good as new real soon!
@AJB1014 YOU LOOK AMAZING! What a beautiful bride you are going to be! So exciting! The dress fits you perfect!5 -

When I took lunch to my hubby he wanted to chit chat so I stuck around for awhile. Then when I finally made it back home, me and the little one took a nice 2 hr nap, Lol!! I didn't sleep well last night so the nap was nice. However that took away the time I needed to complete the other stuff I needed to do. Well at least I did the 1 DVD and stayed under my calorie limit!!
Have a blessed evening!!🤩

I went back to work today. My head is still aching but it's a bit more tolerable now that I've been taking a medication to help me sleep harder. I think it actually helps the brain rest, if that makes sense? I had a tough time making it through looking at computer all day under those bright lights, but it went pretty good all things considered. I see a Neuro doc on Thursday and I go next week for a brain MRI. Kind of scary but it's all going to be fine. Deal with whatever we have to, but need to find out just what that is first!
@ginnytez I'm glad you are okay with all that horrible weather! My mom and stepdad live in Indiana and I've been worried about them being in the path of those storms also. Tornado watches/warnings are SO scary; I wouldn't have been able to sleep either.
Has @Bex953172 been on lately? BEXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX! Where are you my feisty little friend? I hope you are okay! :flowerforyou:
@maryrobinson40 Glad to see you are back and seem to be feeling better!
I did journal my food today but that's about all I did for goals. Well, I did also get up without hitting Snooze for like the first time in my entire life... so that was good.
I'll log on in the morning and post my Wednesday goals. Just wanted to hop on and say I miss you all and it's so good to see your posts!3 -
@PackerFanInGB I'm soooo happy to see you back on here!! You've been missed!! I'm sorry to hear about your migraines, that is tough. I'll keep you in my prayers, I'm sure the MRI will give you results. 🌹 Thank you for the kind words. I feel like I accomplish so little compared to all these strong, devoted women on here!! But I know in the Fall my life will get busy again so I am forcing myself to enjoy this restful time. You take care of yourself. 🤗
@AJB1014 Amazing!! What an exciting time!! Enjoy every minute!!💐
@Snowflake1968 You are so amazing at responding to everyone and that is thoughtful and inspiring!! I wish to be better at this!! You are a wonderful person, I'm glad you are apart of our JFT journey!!
👋🤠 To everyone else: Stay strong, encouraged and motivated bc you deserve to be happy and healthy!! Keep rockin' and rolling in your lives!!
'till tomorrow!!3 -

Terrible day for me yesterday. I was frustrated with myself and things went wrong so I ate my feelings. And then I ate everyone else’s as well!
Today I’m pleased to say I re-set, headed off for my long run. Less pleased to report that just as I clocked 10k and was getting ready to do the next 6k, I took a horrible fall. Luckily near to home so could stagger back but I’ve scraped myself up pretty badly and twisted my insides somehow as I dropped so I feel sore and sick. Ah well, need to not let this set me back. About to head out to the vet. Will check back later x

@Faebert OMG! I hope you are ok! Take it easy if you need to, poor dear. That sounds like a nasty fall.
@lafayettenana Have the best time! I love girl getaways! Enjoy!
@ginnytez So scary. We have had more tornadoes here in VA in the last few years then in the prior 5 years before that. Weather is getting so severe, it's pretty terrifying. We had one a few months ago that kept all the kids at school (sheltered in place) until 7 pm! They were so scared. Stay safe!

@Faebert, poor you - I hope you've note done any proper harm when you fell and the soreness wears off quickly.0
