05/26– 144 – My rings were very tight this morning, so I’m assuming this was water weight. However, after our picnic today, I’m sure I will be up tomorrow due to the food and drinks. It’s OK though, one day won’t derail me and we had a lot of fun.
05/27 – 145 – There it is! I hope it doesn’t keep bouncing up tomorrow. I’m going to be really mindful the rest of the week.
05/28 – 145 – This is where this challenge really keeps me on track. It would be so easy to continue eating the leftovers from our picnic, but knowing I’ll be weighing in and reporting will keep me from the cupcakes, mayo-laden salads, and chips in my kitchen.
05/29 – 144 – I didn’t drink enough water yesterday and I can tell I’m still retaining some this morning, so I’m glad I went down a little. I’ll be drinking all the water today.
05/30 – 144.5 – I drank all the water, I watched my calories, and then I drank a beer with a surprise visitor last night. I’m hoping to drop back to 143 in the next couple days.
05/31 – 143 – Yay! I have lunch with a client today, so I’ll have to be careful with my food choices to try to maintain this for tomorrow.

05/23: 165 A good drop! Not sure if it will stick around right away or not. 6 mile walk yesterday. No time to exercise today.
05/24: 166 I'm not surprised by this. I had more carbs yesterday and ate dinner later than normal. I'm going to walk my 6 miles this morning. Heading out of town to my sister's this weekend so no weigh ins. I am planning on staying mindful of what I eat/drink.

5/31 - 155.6 - This is probably more accurate. I was able to eat and drink normally yesterday though I had a slow start. Didn't get enough water in and stopped tracking midday but felt pretty okay food-wise. Not the best choices, but was more worried about getting enough fuel in to help recover. I'm not going to worry too much since I did see a drop. I'll call this my round end weight since I won't be able to weigh in tomorrow (though I wish I could if I knew it'd be another drop!) Have a great weekend, everyone! Next round hopefully I'll break my 155lb plateau, I have a lot of hope!

5/23 - Baseball practice ran late yesterday so I ended up staying with the boyfriend. I'm feeling a little bloated still but I drank more than my goal (75oz) in water (think I drank about 8-10 more oz so not much but still, going from about 16oz a day to that is no joke). Unfortunately I wasn't home to cook so I missed dinner last night and had to stop at McDonald's this morning (ewwie, but only thing open this early that's quick so I wasn't late to work) before I got too nauseous without food. Ended up getting an extra sandwich for lunch since it's cheaper than the vending machines. Should be home tonight to cook. That's assuming the "severe" storms that are supposed to roll in just as I get off work don't start producing tornadoes again like on Tuesday. If weather holds out long enough, I'll go to town and get Panera (craving broccoli cheese soup for days) just to get some veggies in. Better than risking power outage in the middle of cooking! Will keep within calories and drink plenty of water in hopes of not going in too deep.
5/24 - I need some love. I feel like crap. Going away party for some friends last night (a last minute thing) so I got 3 hours of sleep. Beer involved on nearly empty stomach so my poor tummy is killing me. I drank early and only had a few before I stopped so I could DD but it was enough to make me suffer today. Also, severe storms (still under a tornado watch that started yesterday evening) and more coming tonight. I'm just a mess. You all keep me going every weekday and I can't thank you enough.

5/28 - Weekend away from tracking and posting but still tried to watch what I ate. Lots of drinking with friends (I wasn't DD for once so I got the chance to indulge a little and took advantage of it) Not ready to be back at work but at least its a short week. Tornadoes expected in my area today so hopefully the pain stays away (can already feel it) so we will see if I can get some movement in before it really starts hurting. Youngest boy's first baseball game is tonight so I'm going to that (maybe do some walking around the field?). Its a late game so I'm already packed up to stay at the boyfriend's place again (stayed last night after begging from kids since their week with dad starts Monday). Thursday morning I should be able to weigh in again. But its kinda nice not worrying about it for awhile and just being mindful of what I'm eating. And even if I've gained, I don't feel so bloated and icky right now so maybe I'm slipping back into that perfectionist mindset and the stress of slip ups is making me hold on? I know that stress makes me hold on to weight, even if I'm doing everything right. Still have to check in with y'all, though. Keeps me going and I LOVE reading all your updates, even if I'm stepping back a bit.

5/30 - Ended up going home after an hour at work with a bad stomach bug. Slept all day and finally broke my fever mid afternoon. Ate some soup and crackers for dinner and managed to hold those down. Still don't feel great. Could only stomach ginger ale so very dehydrated unfortunately. Not sure how accurate this weight is based on yesterday. Feel a little better today but not great. Brought some soup, crackers, and a ginger ale for lunch but focusing on water this morning if I can handle it.

5/28 - 175 – Added a fitbit to the regime. Hoping for more motivation. At least it did not go up.
5/29 – 175 - Hmm was hoping for a little movement on the scale. Noticed my water intake is lacking so will add more today and see if that assists me a bit. I know it is a process, keep breathing right?!
5/30 – 175 – Bought a new scale…might help?! Yesterday was an extremely stressful day. I normally eat to help deal with all the feelings but really need to become the best version of myself that I can be. This means I can’t just stuff myself. Truly difficult not to give in. Whole reason I joined all of you is my Mother had a major stroke in Feb. I stopped my life and moved to her to take care of her, pack her house, sell it and move her home with me for a bit until I can find an Assisted Living facility. When I look at my Mom’s weight and overall health, I see myself and that scares me. I really want to change my course. I will not be able to return to my family for a few more months and can’t afford to eat the house down so to speak. Universe I ask for Strength! (AND an apple pie that has no calories!! LOL)

05/23- 321.8- I’m really surprised by this. Yesterday was a celebration day in my house, and we had pie. I ate a large portion. And then me and my husband stayed up till 4 am playing a game together. And I woke up feeling swollen, with lots of inflammation. So maybe it’s a false low, or maybe I didn’t mess things up too much

05/23:..162.4# Same as yesterday but down 1.4# from last week. Did gardening, weed pulling mostly outside for over an hour. Ate steak and potato with dinner so lucky not up. Got an hour weed pulling in this am already. Found small purple Irises that volunteered. Such a great reward.
05/24: 161.8 Down… yeah! Ate very light but healthy.
05/25: 161.8 Same as yesterday. Did at least 3 hours of gardening but ate spaghetti and meatballs in evening. I do better with carbs earlier in the day. My flower beds are looking better. Such a joy to see for me. Planted marigolds around mailbox for the mail man. LOL Going to lunch today. I’ll have salad and protein. Have a fun day everyone.
05/26: 161.4 Down a pound so far this round. Yeah! Gardened for.5 hour yesterday and ate 2 big salad with protein and small ice cream and wine. Turned down a fab dessert at lunch yesterday (pat on back). I had hoped to lose a pound this round so now I’ll aim for another half-pound for this round.
05/27: Can’t remember but was up some. Had one beer and some baby back ribs. Didn’t overeat but…
05/28: 164!!! Good grief; up 2.6# in 2 days. Ok, had one beer and a little(wing and drumstick) fried chicken. Didn’t eat a whole lot. Gotta get to 161.4 to hit goal for this round. That means losing 2.6 over the next few days. Hopefully some of this is water weight.

05/23 – 242.9 lbs. – (Happy with this since TOM is here this morning and I took a rest day yesterday). Packed my lunch and I plan to complete C25k Week 5 Day 2. Then 50 Jumping Jacks, 20 Push Ups, 45 Squats, 45 Crunches.
05/24 – 244.0 lbs. – (That doesn’t surprise me, even though I wish it wasn’t so.) I haven’t been logging my meals like I should. I’ll correct that and curve the sugar like I know I should. I plan to do a walk in the late afternoon. Then, 50 High Knees, 40 sec Plank, 40 Lunges, 25 PushUps. I’m turning it around.
05/25 – DNW – lots of pain in my legs; decided not to run. The walk from yesterday ended up being an 8 minute run.

05/29 – 242.5 lbs. – (new low after the holiday!! Whoop woo!). Yesterday C25K program session was a 20 minute jog straight through. Now, it wasn’t fast, but it was straight through. Found a great podcast on Spotify to listen to. Feeling so ACCOMPLISHED!! I remember when I struggled with jogging for 3 minutes. Man, that was a few weeks ago. Working on a craft project with my niece and nephew this afternoon. I don’t have a workout planned. If I get home at a good hour I’ll take an 8 or 10 minute jog. I did pack my breakfast and lunch for today though.
05/30 – DNW – My niece graduated from elementary. I’m the Aunt of a 6th grader.
05/31 – 244.0 lbs. – (ugh!) Well, I can’t said I don’t know where it came from. It’s sugar!! Overload on strawberries and Rice Krispy treats. Nowhere near enough water either. The plan today is to complete C25K Week 6 Day 1. Then, 25 Burpees, 45 Squats, 45 Crunches and 40 Plank Jacks. Let’s see if we can finish closer to my starting weight for the round.

5/23 No Scale - I will update the numbers for the last round and beginning round tomorrow when I get on the scale after being in New Orleans for 4 days. I have hope, I haven't gone crazy and I have exercised every day. I've been drinking a ton of water to help with sodium. I went to a beach in Mississippi yesterday and walked four miles. I never get to walk on the beach. Had cheap fresh grilled tuna tacos for dinner. Delicious!!!! I love that my job allows me to travel to places I wouldn't have otherwise, though it makes staying on task difficult.
5/24 172.4 I'm not thrilled, but not mad either. I am down for the round, though up two pounds from when I left. I KNOW I didn't eat enough to gain two pounds. Hopefully, I'll see a drop tomorrow or the next day. My sick friend is out of intensive care and off the ventilator. It was touch and go for two weeks, but he's definitely on the mend. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. It's Friday before a 3 day weekend - WOOHOO!!!!!!!!
5/25 172.0 Still going the right direction. Got three miles in yesterday, trying to get another three in today between showers. Missouri is flooded everywhere. Trails are hard to find that aren’t underwater at least in spots. Some of my flowers look beautiful, some are so beat up I’m not sure they’ll recover.
5/26 172.2 Small uptick isn’t ideal but I got a little too into some Boom-Chicka popcorn last night. That’s ok. I measured every ridiculous bite.
5/27 170.9 Woohoo! This was my goal weight for the round. Good day, yesterday. Nephew and girlfriend came over and I played with the baby (now toddler 18 months). Brought out the pool she was too small for last year. She loved it but never sat down. She crouched the entire time. Love her. I should be able to get a walk in this morning. Maybe I could see 160’s if not this round, then the next one for sure.
5/28 172.0 TOM I think is the cause of this. I was under on calories, didn't go crazy on sodium, drank at least 64 oz of water and sweated like a pig for two hours doing yard work last night after shopping all day. I had 11,221 steps.... I didn't gain a pound overnight.
5/29 172.0 I can only assume this is Mother Nature reminding me that I'm not in charge. Oh well. I had a fast 3-mile walk last night. It should have been a gym night but the weather was so interesting I wanted to be outside. When I got home I even got the front yard mowed before the rain started. We had terrible tornados last night here in the Kansas City area. The wind was already fierce when I was walking, that's why I wanted to go - it's always kinda cool before they are scary. Terrible after but there is a certain feeling in the air in the hours leading up to it.

I did go a little crazy last night - Sprouts had my favorite dark chocolate orange jellies on sale and I bought some. Just 32 little calories each. I have been doing well with just having a few a night until last night. I probably had 10. OOPS. I guess I should be happier I didn't go up today It's supposed to be nice tonight. I think I'll try to get in 4 miles.

05/23 185.2 Nice to start the round with a drop that I was not expecting! Annual trip to the ballgame with DS1 so ball park food for dinner swapped beer for diet coke and gave him my fries but still expected a sodium jump. The game went to 13 innings so we didn't get home until the wee small hours of the morning so I will have to be extra vigilant about my choices today. I have now done 7 days of no sweets- need to keep the streak going.
05/24 IDK! Scale gave 185.6 and 187.2 maybe 186.4? A good day yesterday,was proud of myself for making good choices despite being very tired. The uptick is probably delayed reaction from the trip to the ballpark.
05/25 186 after work BBQ yesterday skipped the beer, chips and potato salad but really enjoyed the bratwurst and the sunshine! A little stress eating - a handful of ritz crackers - but way better than a handful of chocolate bars 10 days no sweets!
05/26 184.4 ! slept till noon so that's part of it! Had a good workout yesterday and a nice walk in the evening, back in time to see the end of the basketball game - so nerve wracking! Other than that a lazy day yesterday no errands, no chores, no meals - the boys had pizza and I had left overs (salmon and asparagus so i didn't suffer!) Lots to do today - but tea first!

05/28 186.6 Weird day yesterday - NSV my colleague and I had to walk up 4 flights of stairs to a meeting - she commented that I was "in way better shape" than she was! Fell of the sugar wagon - but back on track this morning.
05/29 188 Nope! not back on track. The dietitian says I should not need to abstain from any foods - just "eat intuitively" but I can't seem to make that work - 2 mouthfuls of cake and I have been on a sugar tear ever since.

05/23 - 183.0 - Mini whoosh. Back to documenting my days here. Went back and read my blogs and the daily insights are really helpful. I've been back to morning protein smoothie and packing lunch. Lots of seasoned tuna packets on low carb wraps for ultimate ease and squashing excuses.
05/24 - 183.4 - Yesterday did not go as planned. Had to roll with the punches but ended up eating out at a burger joint so feeling a little salty today. Retail job is giving me a lot more steps than normal though. Got breakfast sandwich this morning because out of almond milk but chose an egg white and swiss on multigrain for 240 cals instead of higher cal options. Packed my lunch though! Final wedding dress fitting tonight and 5 lbs up since last visit so fingers crossed!!!

05/28 186.6 - No surprise there as I went off the rails this holiday weekend. I did lots of physical activity as well though, so back to the habits today and moving on! The dress fit beautifully! Must remain around at or below 183 by June 22. Feeling so tired today thanks to my terrible eating this weekend though.
05/29 188.0 - Yep, consequence of my actions this weekend still. Definitely didnt drink enough water yesterday either. I know what I need to do...it includes healthy eating habits AND healthy sleeping and self care habits. The binge definitely came in part due to exhaustion so working to balance things out a bit!
05/30 186.6 -Terrible day yesterday. Bad car diagnosis led to a very stressful day and eating takeout from the grocery store...Need to work on my coping skills.

Pretty good day yesterday, but today will be better since we polished off the rhubarb ginger crisp last night. I have today's food planned, plus a walk and some gardening if the rain will please stop for a few hours! I have a new trellis to put up - yesterday I painted it a gorgeous shade of violet and I have a yellow clematis to grow up it. Maybe I'll post a pic when I get it up. (The neighbors in my very beige & gray neighborhood will be in shock!)

No! This has to be water and/or delayed response, because I ate within bounds yesterday. Sigh. But on the plus side, I worked several hours in my garden yesterday, planting, moving, planning.... This is a big deal for me because last year I hurt so much from the inflammation I was fighting that I couldn't bend and kneel. Now I need to go buy some more plants!

Doesn't look like I'll make my goal this round. I have stopped "goofy eating" the past couple of days and and my calories have been fine the past few days, so some of this may be sodium from soup & a burger out yesterday.

I had a lovely day yesterday planting, digging, planting... I'm excited to see my new garden taking shape. I'm planning some more today, though I also have to plant by butt in a chair and write for a while. Deadline tomorrow. But it's so nice out!

Oh, for heaven's sake. I stuck to it yesterday, so pfffttttt. Oh, well. I know from past adventures that one of these days I'll see a nice drop. It's all good. Another gorgeous day here, and I plan to work a bit more on my garden, go for a walk in a park I've never been to, read, write (oh, yeah, that pesky work thing), and figure out what to take to a potluck on Sunday, paint second coat on garden bench. 05/24 328.0 I’m not surprised by the bounce up, it happens whenever I have a hotdog. In addition I did some weight lifting yesterday and a couple of muscles are a little stiff/sore today. Last but not least I went a bit overboard with some cookies a couple of days ago and it usually takes a day or two for things like that to show in my weight. It’s okay though as I’m fully on track again and know that I’ll see a loss again soon.
05/25 328 I’m not sure why I didn’t have a drop. I’m guessing that I’m still retaining water weight. Hopefully I’ll see a drop soon.
05/26 329.6 I’m trying to tell myself that it’s pre tom bloat weight. I’ve been on track and low sodium, I log and weigh everything, so at this point that’s the only thing that makes sense. Tom should arrive tomorrow and hopefully I’ll see some drops.

05/31 154.4 WOOT. I have actually been to the gym, and I had forgotten the sensations and the strength, and the HUGE difference in FEELING when I actually make it. I don’t know how I can forget such things when I have known it for YEARS at the core of my being. Its just good for the soul. Frankly so is seeing the numbers drop. Fridays are scary though ! haha… On the whole its been a good fitness week. I'm always amazed at how a couple of lbs feels like the weight of the world has been lifted, and makes me FEEL so much better.
