Success/ struggles of the week/month: i wish i had a better control of my cravings for sweets and peanut butter. Kids visiting somehow ends ip being free gor all to me, although this time i didn't even add any extra treats to our stash, almost none, lol. Anyway, going to try to limit snacks a bit to come back down to my preferred weight. I saw 142-143 for a few days and it went up shortly, can't seem to make it stay there. Wishing everyone a good week, and hopefully we will continue this thread. It helps me too.3 -

Successes/struggles: Major struggle this week is a nasty injury. I fell while running and injured both knees, shoulder and elbow. Activity down as a result and I’ve really struggled on sedentary calories! But I’m still within range and healing nicely so fingers crossed I’ll be back to my usual routine soon.
Have a good week x4 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: It's been another gorgeous week outside and I've tried to take full advantage after a wet and cold spring, averaging way more steps than usual. Still drifting down a little, but with a 2-week vacation coming up at the beginning of July that will involve being more sedentary (driving) than usual, as well as opportunities to enjoy a few different regional cuisines, I'm not going to make any major corrections.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: A fairly quiet week, with a day out on Friday which ended with a meal out in a pub. I had a really nice salad, very unusual in a pub, they are often very poor with too much oily dressing and cheap and nasty coleslaw.
My weight has continued to drift down over the last couple of months since I hit my “goal weight” of 50 kg. But I feel good and my BMI is still over 20 so I’m happy with it. I may increase my protein intake to protect muscle strength.3 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: One of the things I've been struggling with lately (the last month or so) is nutrition/macros. I've been eating out a lot over the past couple of months, and I've been focused only on calorie count. For maintenance purposes, that works, but I've also been trying to do a mini recomp and aim to get in ~.8 g/lb of protein to help with that. On top of that, I have genetic high cholesterol and need to try to keep my saturated fat intake pretty low and work on my fiber as well. For the most part, I was doing so reasonably well while I was losing weight as well as when I started maintenance. It's just difficult to keep track of all of that (or care about it) when you're eating out and estimating calories. I've got a lot planned between now and the weekend after July 4, so unfortunately, I just have to keep focusing only on calories for now. I do plan to get back into being better about macros and nutrition after that though.6 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: I celebrated my 5th anniversary with my boyfriend this weekend, so we went to a beautiful restaurant to have an awesome lunch. I tried to choose a healthier option and it didn't do much damage either. My weight was pretty low this whole week just to jump up 0.5 kg for Monday morning, but I didn't really care about it. I won't freak out from 0.5-1kg up or down anymore... This is my biggest success for now3 -

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: My scale and trend weight are both up a little again this week. I was hoping they would start coming back down after the holiday. I do think that it is mostly just some fluctuations since my scale weight was down some during the week and then back up again on the weekend. I am struggling a bit with feeling negative about my weight even though I know that I am not going to suddenly gain back all the weight I lost. But I do worry about my weight creeping up. I know that 117 or 118 is still in range and not a bad weight for me. I just prefer to be 115 or 116. I try not to get too focused on the number, but it is sometimes hard not to. I do like having this thread. It helps to write it down because looking at it I can see that I am still firmly in range my range.5 -

Success/struggles of the week: Not very happy☹️... I've been workingout consistently and hard for 2 weeks, no drinking, and my eating is totally spot on... And I've GAINED weight. I'm now over my range. It's so demoralising because I don't actually know what more to do, except just wait it out and carry on. Any advice would be very welcome if anyone's for some insight!!
Ps- as I'm only 1lb over my range I've decided to keep tracking here, unless it creeps way higher. 😉6 -

Success of the week: I have been trending up a bit lately, but I kept it within my maintenance range.
Struggle of the week: The last half of may was a struggle - I don't like being so close to the top of my maintenance range. A couple of days I was less than a half pound from going over, and my trend looks like I'm gaining.

You said you've worked hard for 2 weeks. Does this include new exercise? That can cause water weight gain due to muscle repair.2 -

Struggles this week: Well, since I dropped off this board in the last 6months, there have been a lot of struggles. First I injured one knee and then recently the other. I have not found a way to enjoy my work outs like I did when I was running. All I want to do is curl up with a book and a bowl of popcorn and feel sorry for myself. I get to the gym but have not been prioritizing it the way I used to. I have a weird fantasy that while I was losing weight, it was "easy". Im sure it wasn't, but I am struggling now so it makes it easier to think so. I have been eating a lot of salty foods. I have been having a lot of licks and sips that may not be making it into my logs.
Successes: I have considered that the recent injury could be complicated by a seizing of the muscles around my knee and so I have begun to stretch morning and night to try to alleviate the pain. I have recommitted myself in the last two days and am relinquishing my ego. I am glad to be back too having some accountability.8 -

@firecat1987 yeah, some are new moves, but I'm also just coming back from a workout break in general, so even my usual stuff is new-ish again.
I've been reading and found out it might be the repair/water retention from getting back into training.
It's just weird that it's never happened before after a break. Hmm.

Successes/struggles: Almost healed from my injury last week and managed to get back into things with some exercise every day since Monday. Generally doing ok with food choices but still need to be careful about restricting too much to bank for weekends or special events because if I get too hungry I don’t make the best decisions!! Like yesterday when I did a 10 mile run before work, didn’t eat enough all day and then got into the treats last night. Still under calorie goal for the week but I didn’t feel like it was a planned and enjoyable indulgence. Still striving for a bit more balance in maintenance.

Success(es)/struggle(s) of the week: A good, active week. Lots of activity has meant needing to refuel, and while I've done a pretty good job of eating near goal, it tends to be catch-up at the end of the day/week. I'm not that concerned, given I'm on point with hitting protein and other nutrition goals, but it would probably be wiser to spread it out more.
Looking ahead, I'll be starting a new job in a bit over a month that will involve long night shifts. Beyond the impact on sleep, I know that exercise on those days will be a lot more challenging, and I'm thinking about ways to adapt.
@Faebert Glad that you're feeling better - I know it must be a relief to be able to get back to your usual routine!
Have a great week, everyone!2
