Hi! What are your stats and goals?
Are you using a food scale and weighing all of your food in grams (liquids in cups/oz)?
This post has a lot of useful information to get you started:

My goal is to loose 2lbs a week. I’m getting married in November and would like to loose a significant amount of weight. I think I had my calorie goal a bit high today because I wasn’t hungry but was eating anyway 🤷🏼♀️ my new calorie goal is 1200. I’m working out 6 days a week.0

By stats I meant age, height, and current weight and goal weight. Depending on how much you have to lose, 2 pounds a week might be too much.
1200 is too low unless you're already very short and sedentary. How many calories did MFP tell you to have each day? Eat that many, PLUS your exercise calories.
Cutting too many calories too fast is a sure way to get frustrated and stop entirely. Slow and steady wins.6 -
I’m 30. 5’3. 198lbs. Lightly active. MFP set my calories at 1600. I had a hard time eating that much 😭0

Cool, I'm 5'3 and started at 182.
Are you weighing all of your food with a food scale? Sometimes when you start out with enthusiasm, 1600 seems like a lot, but we didn't get to be overweight by not being able to eat 1600 calories, if you get my meaning. If you weigh your food, you might see that you're really eating more than you think, It's a common problem and easy to fix.
Make sure you choose accurate entries in the database, too.
I lost 50 pounds and I've been at maintenance since December, this system totally works with determination and patience.9 -

I suspect that you are eating way more than 1200 calories if you are not weighing your food and struggling to eat the goal MFP has given you. Weighing accurately is an eye opener and a game changer. Weighing prepackaged food will also result in greater accuracy.2 -
