UGH, weekend killed my efforts!

I did so well last week. Lost a pound in 4 days. Then, Friday and Saturday drank like a fish. Well, a bottle of white wine each day, over a long period of time. Hanging out by my pool. Stepped on the scale yesterday. That pound was back on. It is amazing what alcohol can do that fast! Any thoughts??? By the way, I continued to log calories, even the wine and I was not that much over. What the heck? Is it all of the sugar?

I have the same problem. But, don't feel like your efforts are killed. Just get back on track.

It’s only a pound and this is a new week. Be patient and kind with yourself.

It is most likely water retention. Get back on track. Drink more water. Give it 3-5 days and you should be back to normal.

Unexpected rapid and large weight changes are always chiefly caused by water weight and food waste weight.

If you were still in a calorie deficit or maintenance, any gains are water weight.
