I'm set to lose 1lb a week (even though i only have 10 left to lose) I have 330 calories left in my budget. I'm really craving a whopper. I saw a picture and its got me watering. But its near 800 calories for just ONE sandwich. That's crazy. I'm ready to throw the entire day away and i'm triggered but i'm afraid that tomorrow this will want me craving something else, than another thing on monday, than on tuesday.. next thing you know i'm 200 lbs again.

i get a whopper jr with no mayonaise and add a little of my lower calorie mayonnaise on it. They put so much mayonnaise on it. I decided I did not want to be fat so I cannot eat big whoppers any more. Same with Big Mac, I get a small hamburger and add some Big Mac sauce. Food use to make me so happy but I have learned to find my happiness in other things, talking with people, walking, yoga, etc. anything but food. All that food is not doing anything positive for me just making me fat, who needs that? I don't want to wake up and feel sad and guilty when I step on those scales.23

I generally like stalling my craving satisfaction on big ticket items for at least a day or two. If you can save a few extra calories for a few days you can easily afford it if you would like.
If you do go get one promise yourself you won't just tear into it. Take a bite and then ask yourself is this particular burger really worth 800 calories? Only you can decide the answer.
If I were really craving one I would make a plan to take care of it but to me the whopper is only okay. I do have some nostalgia associated with it and I may very well want one at some point in the future but 800 calories is so much to pay for a burger that depending on the BK could be substandard even for them.11 -
Assuming all your logging is accurate (I.e., using a food scale for all your food), your deficit is aggressive for someone with 10 pounds left to lose. 0.5 lb/week is a reasonable pace at this point.
As for the sandwich, get it tomorrow if you still want it tomorrow, and fit it into your calories.18 -

what make's it aggressive? Just because you can't do it doesn't mean I can't. Its a pet peeve of mine here when people comment that other people should take longer to lose weight when they are doing fine themselves. 1500 calories a day for a male is not "TOO" aggressive.57 -

Well, it's too aggressive because you can't fit in a whopper which you want and which would otherwise fit.
And it's too aggressive because one of the ways your body reacts to large deficits is by making you want calorically expensive foods to eat (see restrict - binge cycles, see food ideation associated with large deficits).
So you can exercise will power and be all proud of yourself while posting for help on how to control yourself in order to do it.
Or, you know, you can just avoid having the uncontrollable urges in the first place, and as a result not need outside emotional support to successfully control yourself.
Weight control, especially long term, is hard enough. No need to make it harder.47 -

Once you get to a healthy weight (assuming that's where you are), 1 lb per week is aggressive. That doesn't mean you can't do it if you want to. Aggressive doesn't mean impossible, just difficult.
As others have said, save up some calories over the next several days and go get a Whopper when you've saved up enough to make it fit.
If you don't want to slow down your rate if loss, you might want to at least have some kind of plan for how you're going to transition into maintenance. Lots of people succeed in losing weight, it's maintaining it that's a stinker. Or dont, if you don't want to, it's all good. We just like to try to help people not make the same mistakes we did the first (or 2nd or 3rd) times we lost weight.
Go get a Whopper some time this week, and enjoy it23 -
Whoppers are a waste of calories, grill your own. I know, easier said than done, but it is worth it.11

Pretty good estimate - the nutrition guide lists it as 740 calories. Since you dont have enough calories left for today, I would suggest plan your calories around it tomorrow. I wouldn't go there today with the intention of getting something else less calorie dense, chances are the temptation would be too strong. Just my perspective (and experience).3 -

Consider redirecting your thoughts to something else and this craving will go away. It is an urge, an impulse, not a need. Many people have never eaten a whopper and survived just fine. It isn’t something like water, that you have to have.5

that's a little less than half my daily caloric budget not worth one sandwich. I usually try to get 2-3 "maintenance" days a month though.6 -
Take a friend or two to BK with you and all of you split a whopper. That way, you get the taste you're craving and you don't ruin your progress.8

What could "ruin" his progress is an unhealthy relationship with food and thinking in terms of "good" food vs. "bad" food. I know it because I've failed more times than I have succeeded, and it was due in part to an unhealthy relationship with food. If you start thinking that having a particular food is counterproductive to your progress, you will only be disappointed when you eventually cave and just eat the darned thing. That, for many people, leads to a spiral of shame eating/binging and then thinking, "*kitten* it, I've already messed up, why even bother?"
To the OP: have the damn Whopper, man! If 800 is half your calorie budget, have a Whopper Jr. and plan it into your day. The deprivation and restrictive eating will likely be far more detrimental to your goal than having a Whopper now and then.28 -
I always have ground chuck (& ground turkey) patties I made in the freezer ready to cook. I actually came to prefer my own burgers to take out. I toast 1 slice of low cal bread, cut in half & use lite mayo, cheese , onions etc
I love ore ida extra crispy fast food fries baked in oven too. Yummy burger & fries for fraction of calories10 -

Yesterday my husband and I made venison burgers at home, which I had on a slice of rye bread with some mushrooms and crispy kale. Put a bit of butter on the bread. Had a side of sliced cucumbers with a bit of sesame oil and salt and pepper. I found that really satisfying and yummy. Was 490 calories with a macro spread of 28C/28F/32P. I still had space in my day for dessert.2 -
How come no place in the midwest has a Lettice wrapped burger? That would save a good amount of calories wasted on bread. We don't have In and Out's here so that's out of the question.2

If I have a craving for something, I give it time. I wanted Cracker Barrel pecan pancakes for like a month before I had them. I waited to see if the thought would pass, and it didn’t. So I planned to have them and was really careful with my food for several days before. I had the pancakes, with butter & syrup and an egg on the side, and enjoyed every last morsel. Food is fuel, but also one of life’s pleasures. If a whopper is really good to you and you really want it, then you can make it work. Of course, I’m 58 and female, and lost weight eating 1700 per day, so I had a little more calories to play with than you do.13

I know it’s popular to say “find a lower calorie dupe”, but that doesn’t work for me with a lot of things. I end up eating the dupe, but still wanting the real thing.12

Not a problem for me, I hate Burger King, I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve been there in my life, and none of the times was it my choice.
I think there’s a lot of good suggestions here for you. If I crave something, usually pizza, I have it, just usually limit it to two pieces and go for a veggie pizza now days. Kind of hard to limit a Whopper, but you could cut it in half and make two meals out of it or limit your intake on other food in the day. It’s hard, but, where there’s the will, there’s a way. We can do this, but, need to make better choices most of the time.1 -
i get cravings for take out onion rings occasionally so i'll factor them into my daily diary accordingly. if i don't fill out my diary - i'm done for ! i've managed to maintain my weight for 2 years after losing 20 lbs. you can make this work for you if you're exercising and logging honestly. but also Evamutt's suggestion is great also1

It’s aggressive because with only 10 lbs to lose, losing at a rate of 1 lb/week risks losing lean body mass instead of fat.
It’s aggressive because you are eating the bare minimum calories that are deemed healthy for males.
It’s aggressive because you can’t fit in foods you really want into your plan without worrying about taking up half your calories.
It’s aggressive because as a 5’2 female I can lose weight eating more than that.
It’s your choice obviously but if you want to know why it’s considered aggressive these are a few reasons.28
