Would pace out your workout during the day work as same as a 1 hour exercise non stop? So for example i can do 20min in morning then lunch , dinner etc 1 hour exercise throughout the day? Would it be the same without doing the exercise for 1 hour straight?
Thanks
Thanks

For a lot of exercise, yes it would all be beneficial. If you're trying to increase your walking or running endurance specifically, not so much. If you're just trying to raise your levels of activity overall, it's a perfectly good way to get it done.3

The same for what? Calorie burning? Yes. Building endurance? No. Building strength? Mixed bag. Hard to know and say without understanding what you are hoping to accomplish.3

On a calories-burned basis, yes, it's the same. I understand what you mean. It can seem daunting when you're not used to exercise to think about it in one long stretch, so it becomes a little more achievable when you break it up.2

A little at a time is also helpful for finding a schedule that works for you. You are letting your family know "this is my time" and they will adapt. You can increase your fitness level bit by bit as you get used to exercising on a regular basis.0 -

If you're mostly interested in calorie burns, then yeah it should be more or less equivalent. There are other benefits to longer sustained activity (cardiovascular health, endurance, etc, as mentioned above), but three short workouts are better than no workouts for sure.0

To add on to this, new research has shown that you get the health benefits of exercise no matter how short a period of time you do it for, so to meet the recommendation of "150-300 minutes of moderate exercise a week" that is provided by the government, short bursts of exercise is just as effective as longer exercise.
