Hey fellow MFP friends! I've tried posting several times but I don't think it's worked? So forgive me if you see multiple duplicates posts! Oops! Just got home from my 1st trip to Disney! Going through my photos I cannot believe the size of the woman I see. Such a let down to be too embarrassed to show any of these photos to anyone. I knew I had gain weight but you never truly see it until BAM! This has been affecting so many things in my life especially my 9yr relationship. So here's to doing something about it! Stella got her groove back and so will I!! 😁

I feel your pain! I had the same reaction a few years ago after looking at some vacation photos, I was like.... who is that?!?! Certainly it’s not me!!!
But it WAS me and I was obese. It still took me a couple of years after that to get my act together and lose the weight, but I did it. And I’ve been maintaining my goal weight for almost 6 years now I love taking vacation photos
You have total control over this and YOU CAN DO IT! Here’s a few posts I’ve written about my experience if you’d like a bit more detail

Glad you are here and taking control of your progress. We all have different things that work as our catalyst, and sometimes we need something like that to snap us into gear.
However one thing about your post did strike me, which is your weight taking a toll on your relationship. I am not sure in what area you mean, but a lot of times, if there are issues in a relationship when you are at a certain weight, they don't just go away because you lose weight. A lifetime relationship should be built on a lot more than the physical, so if you are having issues, you may want to look at addressing those separately from you weight loss.
I'd focus on your weight loss for you and how it will make you feel, not for changes for your partner.5
