Good one! I've worn US size 11 since age 11, and it took me quite a long time to be OK with it.

I don't notice day to day or in the mirror, but I do like the shape of my thighs in pictures. It usually takes me by surprise! I like my shoulders 😁1

I once had someone compliment me on my nice legs, I do a lot of walking, later I found out he was missing a leg due to diabetes. Makes me seriously grateful for having two legs, bumps and all.24

I'm gonna pick three:
My thighs. Omg I have visible muscles now so I don't care one bit about cellulite anymore.
My triceps. Arms are still a bit fat, but muscles are cool!
My grey steak. Also cool and I don't really care if my grey shows my age.
Btw great post idea. Love it!10 -

I love my calves. My running group makes a habit of photographing the calves of the person running in front of us because our calves are .7

I love this thread!
I'm starting to really appreciate my shoulders. The muscles now pop when I lift, and I relish in giving the metaphorical middle finger to all the men who make disparaging comments about women who have muscles.10 -

I like gals that lift! Sorry for being a chovenist, but when a lady benches more than me.... grrrrrr.... lol 😅 I like a curvy with muscles look! If she can deal with me being burly instead of lean and deal with my lifestyle... I'll put a ring on her!9 -

HUGS BACK TO YOU!1 -
It's been so long since I was smaller that I forgot how much I liked my legs! I've got pretty good gams for a fat girl, and while I like them how they are now, I can't wait to see how great they look as I get closer to my goal!12

I appreciate this thread today.
I’m struggling big time with body image after recently having my 4th baby in 7 years.
I’m trying hard to appreciate my body for its strength, but am so discouraged when I look in the mirror. I’ve gained and lost the same 50 lbs 3 times and I have to do it again after this last baby.
Will report back when I can think of a body part I am learning to love.

my wife struggled trying to lose weight in certain areas which are difficult for women. I watched her work hard and truly stick to her diet routine but still couldn't lose in the areas I guess women struggle with the most. I thought she looked amazing, but she still wasn't satisfied with her results until she did this program that targeted those difficult to lose areas for women . Its been 4 month and she's never been more happy with here results. [Link removed by MFP moderator]

I needed to see this today. 6 months ago I embraced my natural hair color, silvers and all. I still need to work on appreciating my legs. I inherited full leg cellulite from my grandmother, and I have EDS so my skin is looser than average and I don’t build muscle easily, so even when I was anorexic and a size 2/4 my legs pretty much looked the same as they do at a size 8/10 or a size 16. As I’m sitting here recovering from my second arthroscopic hip surgery in 15 months I’m realizing I need to give them more credit. They are lumpy but there is a decent amount of muscle under there, muscle I worked hard for. I have the kind of thighs that get bigger when I workout causing my thighs to rub together and making my upper quads impossible to buy jeans for. I always hate how that makes me feel even when I know it’s because I’m stronger. But now each one of them has singularly carried me through a successful surgery and recovery and for that I think they deserve some love.19

I am appreciating my big thighs as well even starting to see some muscle definition! I am definitely in awe of your lifting—I’m hoping to hit 200 on my deadlift soon and that seems impossibly heavy! Just amazing!
I’ve also developed an obsession with my back and how there are actually discernable muscles back there. I totally pick my cable station so I can see my back on pull days.
And forearms. Climbing is giving me these cute little forearm muscles 😆6 -

I've lost a lot of weight (100 pounds) and still have a lot to go (ug, at least 60). I'm approaching 50 years old, have been obese forever and can't say I like much about the way my body looks. BUT--the other day I was at the gym and the young guy using the weight machine (lat pull down) before me was being nice and offered to adjust the weight down to my level... Sorry big guy, you will need to move it from the measly 100 you were pulling to 140 for this fat old lady! I didn't actually say that, but the look on his face when I said 'no, no, 140 for me' made my day (my week!).
I can't believe I'm stronger than anyone in any way, let alone a fit young guy. So I guess I like my lats? Not words I ever thought I would utter...22 -

Post partum is always a hard time to find something to love (I’d send you a virtual hug but I’m super introverted and non touchy, so here’s an awkward virtual pat on the back 😆) Intellectually I always appreciated a body able to carry and give birth to four babies (mine are 9,7,5,&3 now), but really, I just wanted pants that fit and not to still feel pregnant. However, I usually ended up with two or so months of actual boobs, so maybe there’s that?

I love not having double knees anymore! You know, you bend your knee and there's enough meat to make an extra knee on the inside? Yep, loving these knees now!3

You win ma'am! I only lat pull 120 for sets of 12-15!1 -

Ha, I'm a lat prodigy, maybe? I'll take the win, but I think it has more to do with the muscles I've needed to haul my big carcass around. I'm trying to keep what I have as I lose more weight!5 -

This must be why I have almost no balance...I wear a 6.
Got ya beat, I wear a size 3 in kids. And yes, I cannot do yoga poses or I fall over!4 -
So far I am loving:
My wrists and collarbones (for the cool looking bones I couldn't see before!)
My waist, it's turning out pretty tiny and curves perfectly.
My skin, it has improved so much in the last year

Ha thanks for the virtual pat on the back lol! I agree, i can appreciate the fact that my body has birthed 4 healthy full term babes, but my mind plays tricks on me too.
Some days are better than others.
I’ll get back to where I was, it always takes me 12-14 months.
I did however, notice that my shoulders were looking leaner while lifting the other day. I know it’s just the pump of the workout but, I didn’t hate it!

Why not2 -
Leaning against a doorway this morning, looked down and realized my bat wings were gone. Spent a few seconds moving my arms around trying to figure out where they were. But they’re just...gone. Yippee!!!!!!
Everything is thinning out. Legs are muscular, thighs are pumped, and creepy me likes to feel my back because there’s no fat there and it feels so (dare I say?) athletic. But ohhhh that belly. It’s like a geological fat shift. I can squnch it up and then use my hard won scale skills to comically estimate how much weight is there.6 -
Seeing improvements in my arms, probably more to do with keeping the weigjt off than actual recomp. Things do bounce back, it's just slow and steady. I'm proud of how I look and what I can do.3
