    Welcome to July!

    SW: 229 (May 2019)
    CW: 204.6
    GW1: 199
    GW2: 186
    GW3:175
    GW4: 168

    Plan for the month:
    1. Stay within calorie limits
    2. Workout 5-6x week Resistance/Cardio
    3. Increase NEAT throughout the day

    Goal:
To reach and surpass GW1. if I can get into the mid to low 190s by the end of the month. I will be well on my way to reaching GW2 by my Bday August 27th.

My birthday is August 29!! Incidentally, my aunt and her husband’s birthdays are August 27! I guess I was kind of afraid to wish it out loud, but I’d like to make it below 200 lbs by my birthday.

Goal for July is to lose 10lbs and get to my next goal of 209.
To get there, I'll be finishing Couch 2 5k and continuing to run, doing enough total activity for at least a 21000 kcal/week burn and keeping food intake to 10500 kcal/week intake.

    GW - 150

I want to lose 10 pounds in July by following the Keto diet, considering calories deficit and biking 1 hour a day (5 days a week). I started my journey 1 month ago and I want to reach my final goal by December...

For the month of July I would like to lose as much as possible. I recently had a physical and my cholesterol and A1C were off the chain. The doctor immediately wanted to put me on medicine. I don't want to take medicine. So I will be going back in 3 months to see what my numbers are.

    SW-212.8 (A/O June 27)
    GW - 165

My goal this month is to change my eating habits. Get rid of all the white flour, processed foods, sweets and salty things that I like.

Learn new recipes using healthier foods. Eating more vegetables and just cooking for myself to stay on track.

Log everything that goes into my mouth.
    Intermittent fasting
    Kettlebell - 21 day workout

Also going to see a nutritionist this month and getting some information about diabetics and cholesterol.

    Reversing these numbers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have Crohn’s disease had colonoscopy last month my doctor told me I needed to lose major weight for a upcoming surgery I’ll be having 😢 am I scared heck yes but can I do this I think so with a lot of determination and encouragement!!! I started this journey 4 days ago I’m down 6 pounds so far my ideal goal is to lose 50 pounds 🤦‍♀️ sounds borderline impossible but guess what I’m possible and so are all of us on this journey to better health 🌺 starting point @ 272 pounds am now 267 pounds whewww! Welcome to add me as a friend thank you for taking the time to read 😊 have a blessed day !

I had a surgery about 4 months after losing 34 lbs and weighted around 205 lbs. My recovery was very quick. There was a woman in recovery who was probably close to 300 lbs, and she was having a very difficult recovery process - her heart rate would not stabilize and and her breathing was difficult. I don't know what happened because I was wheeled out at that point. I believe that had I not lost the weight (and also become more fit - I swim 3-5 times a week) before my surgery I would have been at higher risk. I would like to do an elective surgery, but I cannot until I'm 170lbs. Also after my surgery, my weight loss stopped (actually went up, then back down - body recovering), I'm finally starting to drop again after 2 months. So be prepared for potential stalls post surgery. It sounds like losing weight for this surgery is a fantastic goal - and you will get healthier overall.

My cholesterol is down. My heart rate is down. My weight is down.

My specialist doesn't need to see me anymore. He says I should check in thru email but I don't need appointments. :)

He suggested I try Metformin for a bit just to help speed things up so we'll see how that goes. Drugs make me nervous.

Metformin is not so bad. It can cause stomach issues in some people, but I have not been bothered by any. It made me feel extremely hungry when I first started taking it. That went away after a couple of weeks. It is probably one of the safer diabetes drugs on the market. The new stuff is kind of scary. I told my doctor I would change my lifestyle before I would take those drugs.

Hello everyone. I just started my journey again after a few years away from the site. i was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor that added weight quickly due to the hormonal imbalance it caused. I'm not sure how I will do with weight loss with the tumor, so I'm focusing on exercising and if weight loss occurs then it will be an added bonus.

    SW - 220
GW - 170 (or so, I might adjust in the future)

    July Goals :
Continue with my walking program and get closer to starting the next phase to get back into running.
Add more strength training into my routine.
    Starting some basic yoga

Good luck on your journey everyone!

Hi! I’m new to the app and really just started working on my health so I don’t know what to expect so I’m aiming for 1lb/week loss, but really I’m mostly just looking to start building good habits and changing my relationship to food so my goals for my first full month are not necessarily scale based.
I want to log all of my food daily and meet my calorie goal, excercise at least 3x a week, and meet an average of 11,000 steps a day on my Fitbit. I’m sure if I do all of that I’ll see a difference on the scale also, but at this point I just want to get into a good routine.

I would also love to have some friends on here for support/community, so please send me a friend request!

You and I are in a very similar boat! I just joined MyFitnessPal again for what seems like the billionth time so this time around my SW/CW is 295, and my GW is 195. In July I want to lose about 10 pounds, get 10,000 steps a day, go to the gym 3x a week, do some physical activity each day, and eat right! I spent hours yesterday planning all my goals out like my calories, protein, carbs, fats, and sodium for my weight and height. I ended up with an excel sheet with about 10 pages 😂😂

Every time I plan all this out though I can never get into a routine and struggle keeping it up so I’m hoping this time is different! I would love to be friends and check in with each other to hold ourselves accountable 😁

    Hello Everyone,
My July goal is just to start again. A few years ago I was at 265lbs and lost down to 180lbs, now I am back around where I started at due to alot of bad choices.
