Plan for the month:
1. Stay within calorie limits
2. Workout 5-6x week Resistance/Cardio
3. Increase NEAT throughout the day
Goal:
To reach and surpass GW1. if I can get into the mid to low 190s by the end of the month. I will be well on my way to reaching GW2 by my Bday August 27th.
My birthday is August 29!! Incidentally, my aunt and her husband’s birthdays are August 27! I guess I was kind of afraid to wish it out loud, but I’d like to make it below 200 lbs by my birthday.

Goal for July is to lose 10lbs and get to my next goal of 209.
To get there, I'll be finishing Couch 2 5k and continuing to run, doing enough total activity for at least a 21000 kcal/week burn and keeping food intake to 10500 kcal/week intake.2 -
I didn't post on this thread much (or at all?) in June. I need to jump back in.

This month's goals: Cut back on the mindless snacking and eat more thoughtful, planned food. I'm getting SO close to ONEderland. I know that it doesn't actually MEAN anything, but yesterday, for the first time ever, my 5 week projection when I finished my diary was in ONEderland. It's getting close.6 -
I did it! I hit Onederland today! Woohoo, insanely happy! 😄16

I want to lose 10 pounds in July by following the Keto diet, considering calories deficit and biking 1 hour a day (5 days a week). I started my journey 1 month ago and I want to reach my final goal by December...3 -
For the month of July I would like to lose as much as possible. I recently had a physical and my cholesterol and A1C were off the chain. The doctor immediately wanted to put me on medicine. I don't want to take medicine. So I will be going back in 3 months to see what my numbers are.

My goal this month is to change my eating habits. Get rid of all the white flour, processed foods, sweets and salty things that I like.
Learn new recipes using healthier foods. Eating more vegetables and just cooking for myself to stay on track.
Log everything that goes into my mouth.
Intermittent fasting
Kettlebell - 21 day workout
Also going to see a nutritionist this month and getting some information about diabetics and cholesterol.
Reversing these numbers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a surgery about 4 months after losing 34 lbs and weighted around 205 lbs. My recovery was very quick. There was a woman in recovery who was probably close to 300 lbs, and she was having a very difficult recovery process - her heart rate would not stabilize and and her breathing was difficult. I don't know what happened because I was wheeled out at that point. I believe that had I not lost the weight (and also become more fit - I swim 3-5 times a week) before my surgery I would have been at higher risk. I would like to do an elective surgery, but I cannot until I'm 170lbs. Also after my surgery, my weight loss stopped (actually went up, then back down - body recovering), I'm finally starting to drop again after 2 months. So be prepared for potential stalls post surgery. It sounds like losing weight for this surgery is a fantastic goal - and you will get healthier overall.3 -
My cholesterol is down. My heart rate is down. My weight is down.
My specialist doesn't need to see me anymore. He says I should check in thru email but I don't need appointments.
He suggested I try Metformin for a bit just to help speed things up so we'll see how that goes. Drugs make me nervous.5 -

Metformin is not so bad. It can cause stomach issues in some people, but I have not been bothered by any. It made me feel extremely hungry when I first started taking it. That went away after a couple of weeks. It is probably one of the safer diabetes drugs on the market. The new stuff is kind of scary. I told my doctor I would change my lifestyle before I would take those drugs.

Hello everyone. I just started my journey again after a few years away from the site. i was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor that added weight quickly due to the hormonal imbalance it caused. I'm not sure how I will do with weight loss with the tumor, so I'm focusing on exercising and if weight loss occurs then it will be an added bonus.

July Goals :
Continue with my walking program and get closer to starting the next phase to get back into running.
Add more strength training into my routine.
Starting some basic yoga
Good luck on your journey everyone!3 -
Hello!
I’ve been on my journey since February, and started losing then. I’ve been educating myself as much as possible about food and nutrition, and realizing a lot.
My partner is also on a weight lose journey so I have support at home which is nice.
My poor son is 14, and misses how we used to cook! 😂 But I would rather he learn now.

(I have broken my goal into two)
July Goals:
-Keep finding better recipes that support my health/nourish me.
-Incorporate more walking
-Start doing Yoga again
-keep increasing my water intake
-remember I’m on my own path, at my own junction.
Always accepting friend requests as my friend button doesn’t work on the app. Currently working with IT to try and fix it.6 -

Hi! I’m new to the app and really just started working on my health so I don’t know what to expect so I’m aiming for 1lb/week loss, but really I’m mostly just looking to start building good habits and changing my relationship to food so my goals for my first full month are not necessarily scale based.
I want to log all of my food daily and meet my calorie goal, excercise at least 3x a week, and meet an average of 11,000 steps a day on my Fitbit. I’m sure if I do all of that I’ll see a difference on the scale also, but at this point I just want to get into a good routine.
I would also love to have some friends on here for support/community, so please send me a friend request!
You and I are in a very similar boat! I just joined MyFitnessPal again for what seems like the billionth time so this time around my SW/CW is 295, and my GW is 195. In July I want to lose about 10 pounds, get 10,000 steps a day, go to the gym 3x a week, do some physical activity each day, and eat right! I spent hours yesterday planning all my goals out like my calories, protein, carbs, fats, and sodium for my weight and height. I ended up with an excel sheet with about 10 pages 😂😂
Every time I plan all this out though I can never get into a routine and struggle keeping it up so I’m hoping this time is different! I would love to be friends and check in with each other to hold ourselves accountable 😁

Goals for the month of July:
Log every day - including water!
Get minimum 10,000 steps a day
Lose 10 lbs
Restarted MFP 30 days ago after a break of 14 months where I gained 50 pounds. Sigh... Further proof to stick with it if you want to meet your goals.5 -

I did really well at the beginning of June. I hit the ones for the first time in 12 years! Then I went camping and hurt my leg. I gained back up to 205 (proof you can’t out run a bad diet). I’m back to 200 now and ready to do more than just dip below it.
My goals are measured in 10% body weight increments. My next one is 197 and I only have 3 lbs to go. I would like to hit that and then some this month. Outside of losing weight my goals would be all nutrition based. Eat less carbs, drink more water, less eating out and more cooking at home.
Please feel free to add me as a friend. I log on daily.6 -

In July I would love, LOVE to break the 200’s and stay below it. I’ve broken it before and lost my willpower only to go right back up past 200. Non weight goals, I want to continue to strength train and build muscle all over my body. I also want to start finding peace within myself and my body, to stop hating it and start loving it. That’s really hard to do.
I know each and every person who has commented their goals on this thread CAN do it, YOU CAN DO IT. DONT GIVE UP. Best of luck to all of you ❤️9 -
Broken the 200 barrier down to 195 don’t want to go back into the 200 so got to keep going9

Been steadily gaining back the 90 lbs I lost before I had my daughters and now I’m so unhealthy and unhappy with myself. I’m usually extremely confident but yesterday I saw 4th of July pics of myself and it hit home. Hard. I knew I had gained weight and I was uncomfortable but those pictures? Nope. Can’t be like this any more. No excuses.
I am looking for others who are looking to get through over 100lb lost or have already made it and need daily kicks in the butt.
I have a very unhealthy relationship with food. I love it and eat when stressed. I bake as stress relief. I eat when I’m bored, although I’m rarely bored. I push myself in everything I do too far that I poop myself out regularly.
Please feel free to friend me and let’s get this DONE.
I’m shooting for 10lbs down in July. Let’s make this happen together.7 -
If I don't see a decent loss at my next weigh in I'm gonna be so gosh darn mad!
Working HARD this week. Just got done with an hour of cardio and 20mins of strength workout and my food choices have been great all week. Weekends often throw me off track and I undo the previous five days work which is so frustrating. I am determined not to let it happen this week!
