MFP Starting Weight: 180 lbs - October 2018
Current Starting Weight: 174 lbs - May 2019

    Challenge Starting Weight: 171 lbs
    Challenge Level ✴✴✴
    Challenge Goal Weight: 157 lbs
    Height: 5ft 2.

    Ultimate Goal: 133 lbs

    Weigh-In Days: Mondays and Fridays

    Start Day May 14th
    End Day Aug 14th

    May 14th 171lb
    May 17th 170lb
    May 20th 169lb
    May 24th 170lb
    May 27th 168lb
May 31st 169lb (Hoping this is just TOM gain)

June 2nd 169lb Not gone back to what I was before my period so a bit disappointed. But I have increased my exercise and my muscles are sore so I'm hoping it's a little water retention as my eating has been pretty good. Staying between 1200 and 1600 cals.

June 7th 170lb Really disappointed, made some bad choices this week and it's shown :(

    June 10th 169lb

    June 17th 167lb

June 21st 167lb (weight is shifting so slowly, getting disheartened and when that happens I start to make bad choices)

    June 28th 168lb

    July 1st 168lb

    July 5th 166lb

My weight fluctuates so much but I can see it heading in the right direction. Only 5lb lost since the start of the challenge. I was hoping for 14lb but I doubt I'll manage another 9lb in 6 weeks.

July 12th 168lb I've been exercising lots this week and even started running which in turn has made me super hungry so most days I didn't stick with 1200 cals I'm averaged at 1350. Pretty much ever day I've had really bad doms. I thought it would be ok and I'd get away with it. Obviously not! Very annoyed with myself

Great effort!! I bet your increased exercise is causing some water weight. Same thing happened to me, so I started measuring myself. I found even when the scale didn't move or went up, I actually lost inches. You might try measuring if you don't already... Good job!

I'm doing a 5K race this Saturday and going on vacation on Sunday so the next weigh-in will be in two weeks. The goal is to not gain any weight.

06/19 - 172.6 Slowly but surely I'm moving in the right direction. I had lots of yummy food on vacation yet stayed pretty active (tennis, weights, running, and swimming).
06/26 - out of town, no scale.
07/03 - 170.2 I'm happy with the results so far but I will have to push myself just a tad bit harder to meet my challenge goal.
07/10 - 169  I have another 5K coming this Saturday 🏃🏻‍♀️ Today I feel especially good about the whole process 💪
07/17 - 167.8 It was a great week for me: lots of workouts, healthy food choices, saying "no" to desserts, and being active through the day most days. All because of the race  If only I could this every week!

I posted this in the NSV (Non-Scale Victory) group this morning, but wanted to share it here too! Have a great day everyone!!

"I realized this morning as I was standing in my closet deciding what to wear, I now actually enjoy, even look forward to, getting dressed. For the past several years as my weight increased, I dreaded getting dressed. What still fits? What looks least frumpy? Same old fat body, same old fat clothes, same miserable experience! Yuck - what a terrible way to begin each day. And worst of all, I never realized what a negative ritual this had become. After buying new clothes that fit (both style and size), giving away all my old clothes (bad vibes), and cleaning out my closet top to bottom (organized and cheerful), I love my morning ritual. I'm grateful for this amazing body, life, and ability to love myself enough to take care of myself (physically and mentally). 💞💃🏼😋🏋️‍♀️💥"
