I know, I know. You gain muscle., so I’m hoping it’s that! Last week, I ate super clean, below my calories requirement, went running, walking, rucking, 150+ squats a day with donkey kicks, leg lifts and lunges.... and I gained 3 lbs!! 😓 It’s very discouraging. I feel great but still “look” the same I think, except
My leg muscle are growing. Help!!

Make sure you are eating enough calories too. A friend of mine was in the same boat as you and he finally went to a nutritionist and they pointed out he was not eating enough calories. Honestly forget the reason he gave him sorry for that but he started to eat more calories and he started losing weight. If you are hitting your calorie goal and you are eating right working out etc.. maybe see a nutritionist and make sure you are doing it right. This may not be the answer but at least its something to look at. Good luck either way. Super cute pic and great smile by the way. Have a good one.11

Water retention for muscle repair after so much exercise, almost certainly. No worries, it'll pass.17

It's been a week. Real life =/= magazine covers.

Couple things here....
First, you will gain muscle but not that quickly. It will take many weeks/months/years to gain. Second, 'eating clean' (whatever that means) does nothing for you. A calorie deficit makes you lose. That's all. Don't overthink this a fall for the fad nonsense being sold at the supermarket and internet.
FWIW - I can lose 5+ pounds in a day when it is hot and I run long (this is NOT a good thing) and I can gain 2+ pounds overnight if I eat the right things (generally salty food when I'm not slightly dehydrated). This is normal. Look at your weight over a periods of months for trends.
Good luck.7 -
I’m aware. I’ve been off and on training since I was 18 and it’s not that I’m falling for gimmicks. Clean eating to me just means avoiding processed foods and added sugars etc. I can’t even remember the last time I had fast food (yuck!!🤢) or a normal pop. I realize it’s just like gaining weight. You don’t gain all the weight over night just as you don’t lose it over night.0

I'll add one thing I haven't seen mentioned... you say you're eating at a deficit, but I hope you're weighing everything you eat, not eyeballing it, or even using cups and teaspoons for measuring things. You'd be so surprised how much you're actually eating if you're not weighing it!2

A friend of mine got super hung up on the number on the scale (I have before too) and pointing out to him that his shirts were fitting loosely got his attention. Try taking measurements (Chest/waist/hips/thighs/arms) once a week for a couple of months...your weight isn't that important if you're getting stronger and happier with how you look and feel.1
