07/22 79.8kg I'm struggling to stay motivated with the exercise. My caloric intake is improving although I'm struggling to meet my protein goals as a vegetarian. But I persevere.
07/23 79.8kg At least it's not going up right?! First YouTube Zumba tonight. Hard but good fun. Searched YouTube and created a playlist of my faves. 55 minutes of the routines I enjoy and the songs I love all on the comfort of my own living room.
07/24 79.6kg I guess the YouTube Zumba worked 🤷🏾♀️ Salsa class tonight so let's go for it! (No-one noticed my typo in the previous post! I wrong an aspirational but wholly unrealistic 78.6 instead of 79.6!)

07/26 79.6kg Cuban salsa was less energetic but the heat had me embarrassingly drenched in sweat. Up 0.2kg this morning so feeling a bit disappointed. Will address the Zumba tonight with even more enthusiasm.

07/22 - 236.7 - this is a mini-reset for me; was not strict with what I ate this weekend (still at a deficit but lots of sodium I am positive!) Today is about getting back on plan and getting in my water
07/23 - 236.5 - still feel a bit of water weight for the weekend hanging around but went to the gym for the first time this week this morning - 4:30am workouts are truly my favorite
07/24 - 236.2 - scale is begrudgingly inching downward 😂 I’ll take it tho; gym this AM again
07/25 - 234.6 - there we go! My body loves holding on to water weight! Yesterday was actually not the best day, all-day snacking hand me over my calorie goal and closer to maintenance calories; today will be better - no work out this morning, may do something at home later.
07/26 - 234.8 - thanks to another day of hormonal snacking 🙄 heading to the gym this AM!

I am ready to drop a couple of pounds this round. I haven't made the progress this summer that I had hoped for but its a marathon not sprint and slow and steady will win the race. But man this is a little to slow. Time to get to it. Good luck all.

07/24 – 144 – Evidently, the weight I gained this weekend was not all water, but at least it’s going down.

Ironic that yesterday I exercised for 45 mins for the first time in a little bit and then my body stops losing…but, if I am going to weigh myself every day I have to be able to handle fluctuations without letting it get me down. Halfway to ten days with no extra calories from alcohol and that is awesome!

I am back after taking a 8 round break from logging. Focused mostly on running, walking and was on vacation. Now I am back. Will take it easy but need to be accountable to get that holiday weight back down and break that 90 kg barrier I was bouncing around. Wish me luck

When the body experiences a long diet it refuses to let go, but those few kg that are just junk, go down waaaay to quickly. @untrachelable You might try drinking some pickle juice for the headache or if you get muscle cramps. Of course the pickles need to be “no sugar added.”

7/23 121.5 We were slugs yesterday. Made Keto donuts in the morning and had broccoli sautéed in garlic butter and hot dogs for supper followed by salad.
7/24 121.5 Went to Sam’s Club again yesterday. They had some denim shorts I found acceptable. I’ve been wearing size 6 which was now too big so bought 4 and 6’s since they are a different brand. The 4’s are perfect! I am over the moon!! Never have I bought a size 4 IN MY LIFE! Best NSV ever!

Do I risk my successes..including weight-loss if I end the experiment; or, do I continue the 'experiment until I reach my weight goal? Umm, not sure yet...keep you posted._____UPdate----done the experiment. I plan to resume moderate drinking to my diet, and it I go off the rails, health wise, I'll re-start the 'experiment'.

Today my hubby and I went hiking- we live in Nicaragua. We have a lovely hike, and came across a very curious full grown-or adolescent male howler monkey(about 10 feet away--above us) He was alone, normally we find troups of monkeys, but I found out that the males generally leave the 'family' to find their own way in the world so to speak.Anyways, we found about 30 plants(baby tree starters that had been abandoned, and needed some love...a bit off the trail), mostly Teak, and some other hard-wood species of which I cant remember the name. ...anyways we have a half acre of land and looking for some trees for privacy screen, so we will rescue these...and the rest we plant in our development along the road sides. Teak will mature in 30 years, and the others I have no idea..ooh well, it will be very nice, and private for the people who buy our place in years to come. I didnt even mention the goal of the hike was to take my hubby to the treehouse. Yup, it's a 2 story treehouse that you have to take a suspension bridge to get to. It's brand new. It's in the middle of the jungle, kinda funny place, but it's pretty cool...maybe i'll take pictures and post next time i go there. it's about a 2.5 mi hike from my house, amazing views of the mountains along the Nicargua coast line, over to Costa Rica, and yesterday, we could see the Volcano island of Ometepe with great clarity..this is a rarity as it's usually cloud covered...anyway it was a good day

I ate too much at my art show reception yesterday and had salty stuff later, so this gain is water. I’m back on track today and foregoing flour and added sugar for the foreseeable future. I mulched my new garden for a good 90 minutes this morn8ng, and am going for a walk after dinner. Did I mention that the temperature has cooled WAY down? Yay!

I went out for dinner with 3 friends and 2 very annoying women, one of whom never stopped talking (“me me my me” for the whole 3 hours. I ate responsibly there but came home and had a glass of Bailey’s, a bowl of ice cream, and a bag of popcorn. Sigh. I thought I was past that. Oh, well. I followed up with a note to the 3 friends to let them know I’ll meet them for lunch/dinner but won’t be back to the group. Really annoying when one person ruins things for everyone else. I did once ask her to let me finish what I was saying, to minimal effect (and two people thanked me later). Anyway, another beautiful day her. DH and I are off to see an art show, and then I plan to go for a long walk this afternoon and probably work in the garden.

DH’s birthday, so I’m taking him out for late lunch. I plan to have broiled fish and behave myself, although I’m also baking him a cake. I think I’ll invite people over for dessert! I also plan to start laying brick tri. Around my garden, so that should burn some calories.

I have taken a couple of rounds with fb due to my daughter getting married and company visiting. In amongst all of that I started a new job. My weight is way up from where I was, so I’m starting to get serious again.
July 22 - 184.5 - nothing to say about this I was hoping to never see the 180’s again.
July 23 - 183.2 - had a good day yesterday
July 24 - 184.6 - had some carbs yesterday, it sure makes a difference
July 24 - 184.4 - another fair day yesterday. I was within my goals.
July 26 - 184.0 - surprising after the way I ate yesterday.

July 22 - First day doing 1200 calories. Didn't do to bad. A little hungry throughout the day but filled up on water. Went over my goal by 6.
July 23 - Second day at 1200 calories. Way more hungry today. Went over my goal by 640! Weighed in this morning. Disappointed with the number.
July 24 - Day 3 at 1200cal. Did better today. Still not on goal but healthy choices today and only over by a little bit. Scale was down a little this morning. It's a Step in right direction
July 25 - Day 4. Still didn't make 1200, but still only over by a little. I think I need to find a way to eat more filling foods. I don't like protein (only eat chicken) or yogurt and things like that so it's hard to get foods that keep me full longer. But the scale is going down so I'll keep pressing on
July 26 - Day 5. Well last night I ate 700 calories over in Fritos and half a Costco chocolate chip cookie 😭😭 then I felt bad so I went for an hour's walk. Enjoyed the walk though. I know my gain this morning is probably salt from those Fritos so I am trying not to focus on it too much. Here's to another day 🥂7 -

07/22 168.1 I'm a little bummed I didn't make my goal for Round 83. I really felt like I was retaining water the entire Round from my trip to Colorado and maybe still now. Two excellent parts of this weekend. Saturday morning I spent with my great-niece. We played in the shade at the park for almost an hour before it got too hot. Sunday it cooled down (heat index in the 110 area Saturday afternoon) after a storm and I walked 3 miles in the morning then met a girlfriend and walked 3.5 yesterday evening. It was beautiful, about 80 degrees and breezy.
I was glad she was with me because there was a crazy homeless guy on the trail. He just muttered to himself when he passed us so we didn't think too much about it other than it's very sad. When we turned around to go back he had stopped along the trail and unpacked his stuff all over the path. Which was very weird but not dangerous. Unfortunately, he had also started a fire in the woods burning a bunch of cables and other things that was giving off a chemical smell. Once we got well passed we called the fire department, about 5 minutes later we saw the truck and stopped them to explain where it was since there wasn't an address. He said don't worry, we saw the smoke already. It's so sad but at the same time, you don't know what people are going to do or what brought them to this terrible place.
07/23 169.1 After my 6.5 miles the day before I wasn't going to walk last night but it was soooooo nice that I had to walk a little. Just two miles in the neighborhood with my dog. The weight is TOM. Time will fix this problem. Meanwhile, it's CI/CO. Focus on health and not weight, blah blah blah. I found this link in another thread about water retention that I thought might help some. It helped me. I thought I had beat the water retention game but the last few weeks I haven't been able to lose the water. I think it's because of stress. I am VERY stressed right now with my home life. It did give me some mental relief that I wasn't going crazy.
07/24 169.9 This should drop in a few days. I walked three + miles last night. The weather is unseasonably pleasant. Usually, the end of July first of August is the hottest part of the year but we've got a week in the 80s with mild humidity. This is a small miracle for Missouri. It should be gym night but I'm struggling because it's beautiful outside.
07/25 167.7 Whooosh two stinky pounds! Happy days! I did go to the gym last night because it was 92 when I got off. I brought the clothes to go walking tonight. I didn't travel this week, and right now it doesn't look like I'm going anywhere next week. That should help with water retention. When it wasn't too hot and I could break up the drive with a walk in the middle it helped a little (I think).
07/26 167.7 All good. Walked my 3 miles last night on a trail I haven't been on in a few months. It's lovely for about a mile and boring for the rest. Within calorie goals even with a strawberry ice cream crunch I did have Chinese for lunch yesterday so I expected some water retention but it didn't happen. OR this weight does include water ??? Probably not but you can't blame a girl for trying

Ugh you guys I am struggling so I'm back. I missed the first two days of posting but I did weigh so I filled it out. Last time I tried to join this challenge (Round 80) I bailed right away. So I'm gonna say it's been 2 months since I've used this group effectively. On June 10th I quit smoking and in that time I have shot up out of my maintenance range due to binge eating. I was seriously binge eating you guys and I finally weighed myself after almost a month on Saturday and I was 137.6. And the binge eating didn't make the quitting easier either. I slipped with smoking a few times, so now I am 13 days nicotine free and on my 3rd day of eating at a deficit. My goal is simple for this challenge, post every day, that's it.

Yes! So happy about this! Although a part of me is skeptical. I used my same scale but at a different location. What happened was I went over to my parents house last night and I brought my darn scale so I could weigh in this morning and keep accountable with all of you. So hopefully tomorrow I will still be down... but! I have been eating more today, since yesterday we went to Sam's club so today I came home with my bulk bounty. It's so hard not to try everything! 🙊😂
And I'm not working today so I'm just organizing and snacking!
