My drysuit woes are over! An off-the-peg one at the shop fitted perfectly. It was on sale. My 8 or 9 hours driving today weren't in vain.
Have a good weekend everyone.6 -

That's GREAT. Perfect fit AND on sale. What material is it? I love my trilaminate suit. Dives great. Also was off the rack and fit perfectly. It had been a custom suit because it had a TINY neck seal, and I think it was on the rack for two or three years. My shop made me a very sweet deal about 1.5 years ago. Probably a third off, and they made me a nice deal on a very warm undergarment. I go pick the suit up today -- new neck seal proactively before a dive trip. I have three or four other errands to do in that city, but thank DOG it's just over an hour away not four or five. Yuck! My shift at the aquarium is Monday, so I'll see if I need to trim the seal, and I'll probably try out my new back-up wrist computer. I am pretty sure my new fins aren't in yet. Yeah - I splurged a bit.
Enjoy the new suit. When do you get it wet?

It is 1 millimetre compressed neoprene. It is another Othree, although it is front entry. I struggled with shut downs in the old one - my shoulder flexibility seems a lot better in this. (I tested it in the shop, much to everyone's entertainment.) It is an upgrade on my existing suit, which was 2 mil compressed
They are no longer producing off the peg front entry suits. (They are still doing made to measure.) So they put their stock of these suits at half price.
The seals need adjusting. So I get the suit in 10 days. I will jump in a quarry pretty as soon as I get it. I then get it salty 2 or 3 weeks after that.1 -

Happy Sunday everyone, keep wanting to make it into this thread. Been so busy as of late I only have time to log and drop stuff into my little personal thing Day 120 is around the corner, down 65lbs as of my last weigh in a couple of weeks ago and I see my main doc on monday to get weighed again. My nutritionist let me know I needed to start weight training to maintain muscle while I go through my weight management. I'm working on it got myself some weights and whatnot its coming along pretty good. Set myself up with a routine and I'm moving along. Sadly most of my work requires me to be in this chair a lot, but at least I'm not scarfing down 5-6k calories everyday. Have a great Sunday!7

Hi Midlifers! Happy Sunday everyone
Haven't been here in a few weeks, sorry about that.
Been struggling a bit. Went for a walk tonight and realised that as soon as life gets a little complicated, the first thing that's going out of the window is healthy living. I then realised, life is ALWAYS going to be complicated right?!
So enough of the excuses.
I'm home alone at the moment (husband and children are away for the week), so I'm using this to kick myself back into normality now. Scales will be dusted off in the morning - eek7 -

I’m turning 36 soon and I never realised how my age was creeping up on me until I recently filled out a form and had to mark myself in the 30-40 bracket. It hit me like a tonne of bricks. I know I’m still relatively young but didn’t feel great.2

Hi I am brand new to this thread. Am looking forward to meeting some of you here. My name is Xavier.
I have been on this journey to fitness and better health for approximately 3 years now. I am down about 100 lbs. I love this lifestyle so much I don’t think I could ever go back to the old me. I have learned so much and met so many wonderful people. This community and people here are so positive and supportive, I love it !6 -
Hi everyone
I’m new on here. I’m 48 next month, from the U.K. I’m a regular gym goer (mainly lifting but do some cardio) but the middle age spread still seems to be creeping on so I’m here to fight it. Also a vegan 🌱3 -

Yep, it was good. We went and had dinner with some friends and took the kids go karting. There was some fun in that I cant complain.3 -
Happy Monday morning. Hoping this week was as good as last week!!
7 pounds down in 10 days thanks to killing it with 2 hour bike rides!!! 😄7 -
Spent the weekend riding in my first MS Ride. It is a 2 day ride. Day 1 is a 85km ride from Grand Bend to London. Day 2 is a 75km ride from London back to Grand Bend. Legs are feeling sore but it felt really good to finish. Strenght and cardio was good, but legs were a bit sore. Saturday was really tough as winds were high and we were riding into the wind and mostly uphill. Sunday was much easier to do since it was mainly downhill and winds were low.2
