I'm like you 5'4.5" and my lowest was 130lbs. I've since (3 years ago) unfortunately put on 25lbs and can't seem to get my head around dieting again. While that's neither here nor there, at 130 I was skinny around my waist and chest, but still packed a bit of "punch" around my hips and bottom. This is my natural body shape though, smallish waist and chest and disproportionately large hips. I couldn't get below 130lbs but I felt I wanted to because I was still feeling fat. Looking back, I really wasn't.
There comes a point where you have to accept your body shape and look at the bigger picture than just the numbers on the scales. We're all different and the same weight will look different on different people.0 -
I would love to be 127!! Did you have any trouble getting past the 130 point? How did you get to a size 2? I did just buy new citizens jeans, size 26 but I think they run on the larger side.0

It took me what seemed like forever to break the 130s! Probably several months of counting calories, doing cardio every day (30-40 minutes of walking/slow jogging on treadmill and then sometimes an extra, short walk later in the day), and just sticking it out.0 -
I'm 5'4, started at 140 and now 139. I feel good about myself having just dropped 6lbs, but I'm aiming for 119lbs as my target. I still am quite flabby on my stomach and arms so I'm guessing that's where I'm carrying the weight. I'm like most of you guys, don't want to get too thin but I think at 119 I'll look slim & healthy. Probably going to evaluate when I get to 126 though.0

Dunno about the size two. Seems miraculous to me, but I have jeans from a few different brands and dress pants for work in different brands too. According to my Mom (who is ever-so-ready to cut down an accomplishment when it comes to size) - current sizes are bigger than they used to be, so a 2 is really a 4. Whatever. Six months ago I was in a 6 or an 8 depending on the brand and I don't think they changed the sizing that drastically in the last half of a year.0 -
I'm 5'4", started at 138 and currently I'm at 120. My goal is somewhere between 110-115, because I have a very small frame. It took me FOREVER to get out of the 130s as well, but once I did the weight started coming off much more quickly!0

I'm 5'4" (and 3/4"!). I started here at about 160 and I'm down to 149 (on a good day).
In retrospect, when I was between 130-135 about 3 years ago I looked pretty good. If I'd had muscle tone I think I would've felt better. At the time I thought I needed to lose another 10lbs or so, but I've since been enlightened about "skinny fat" and I think that was exactly my case.
I have kinda big bones (really I doooo especially looking at my ankles - you can tell!) so f I ever got down past 120 I think I would be incredibly unhealthy. I wish I had a smaller frame but unfortunately no amount of dieting can help that0 -
I'm just about at my goal weight of 54kg (which I believe is 120 pounds), and 165 cm (5'5" I think). This gives me a BMI of 20.0, but I have a small frame, and this the weight I maintained at uni and in my early 20's so I think it's a good weight for me.
The healthy weight range goes up to 68kg for someone who is 165cm, and if you have an athletic build, I would be aiming closer to the top of that range rather than the bottom. My rough conversions suggest that that's about 150 pounds.0 -
140 for someone your height is in the healthy range, but it all depends on what you are comfortable with. I am 5'5" and 127lbs, but I think I look good up to about 140lbs, I just feel better here.0

if your gaining muscle then u must be pushing out the fat too, if your not leaning out like you want then you need to check your nutrition. I was always in the 150's dreaming of 130 but with dedication I reached less than 120 in about 6 months. Keep focused and work it!0

Im 5'4 and had a baby in December. I have lost 20-21 pounds since then and my current weight is 133-134. My low was July 4, where I was 131. I have hit a major plateau since the beginning of July and havent been losing any more weight. I net around 1350 a day, or less. Sometimes on the weekend, I will have a day where I net 1700-1800. I exercise everyday- either insanity or major strength training/weights. I only have 1 rest day a week. My goal is to burn 2000 calories per week. My body fat is about 20%. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO??? I cant seem to kick start my weight loss again. I have just ramped up my water and started paying attention to my sodium. Should I lower my calories? I know this is going to cause a major debate, but I just ordered Oxy Elite. I currently take R-ALA and Alcar but not consistently. I take a mulit-vitamin daily. My goal weight is 128. I can not seem to get there.
Any advice?0 -
I'm 5'4" and my heaviest was 138. I'm now down to 127-128, and would love 125, but I'm beginning to believe that the weight I can maintain is 128. If you're settling out at 131, that may be the right weight for you.0

I'm 5'5" and weigh 148 right now. I'm aiming for the 125-130 mark, but I think checking into body fat % is a good idea. I would find a range you are comfortable looking at in the mirror and not worry too much about what the actual number is!0

Ugh. I'm 5'5" and stuck at 165.
I can't seem to find the right calorie range. I followed some suggestions I read on the boards here to calculate my BMR calories (which is 1425) and make sure I always eat at least that amount each day. But I also exercise at least 6 times a week (40 minutes cardio on treadmill or elliptical) and I gain like 400-500 extra calories that I'm apparently supposed to be eating too. I feel like I'm always eating.
The scale stopped moving the past two weeks. I guess I have to lower the calories but I'm afraid of going too low and not losing because my body wants to hold onto the fat.
I want to get down to 135.0 -
I'm 5'5, 140, and apple shaped so I carry my weight in my chest/tummy. (And I have no kids to blame this on, just my lovely genes). It's not my favorite look, so I want to get down to 125ish. I think its achievable, with work. We'll see.0
