I had way to many cookies today and feel like crap

I had 9 cookies today which totaled to 940 calories. I feel guilty. The other half of the box, i poured ketchup all over and threw in the trash. Couldn’t risk it. Any tips on feeling better?

Tomorrow is a new day. We have those moments from time to time. Try not to feel so bad. Just tell yourself that you will do better tomorrow. You will be fine. 😊2

Cut yourself some slack. I went over my count today by over 300 calories. I'm not moaning about it. I made a conscious decision to do it. I could blame it on my anxiety and depression being higher than usual but I wont. It was my choice.
Tomorrow, it's back to my plan. That's also my choice.
Forgive yourself and move on.5 -
That’s a very original way to stop a binge! You should be proud that you took that initiative and stopped yourself with whatever tools you had. Lots of people wish they could do that during a binge.4

THIS. I hunk recognizing your strength and being proud of that initiative trumps the excess calories. We’re all human!!0 -
What's the brand? 100 calorie cookies is something I might be interested in.1

If it's something you wish you hadn't done (as it sounds like
), spend no more than 10 minutes thinking about what contributed to it happening: Over-restricting calories? Putting treat foods off limits until you couldn't? Having trigger foods around that you personally can't moderate? Not getting enough sleep? Haven't figured out how to feel satiated on your normal calorie goal? Stress? Boredom? Etc. Then, make a plan to avoid it recurring. Rehearse the plan in your head, vividly, a few times, like a mini-movie, so the idea sticks.
Then let it go. It's past. Guilt and other negative feelings burn no extra calories, and they feel bad. Just get back on your healthy track.
One day is a drop in the ocean. The point is to remodel your routine habits in order to reach a healthy weight, and stay there permanently, in a happy way that's sustainable for you. The majority of our days determine the majority of our results. Don't over-stress about a measley one that didn't go ideally.
It'll be fine.7 -
What kind of cookies? Chocolate chip walnut? White chocolate macadamia? I'm living vicariously though you!
All jest aside, that is a lot of cookie calories. I'm not judging, I've definitely been there. But maybe think a bit about if there was a trigger. Did you eat too few calories today (before the cookies)? Are you dealing with an emotional or stressful issue? Figuring out the trigger may help prevent this in the future.
I believe you have been successful dealing with this cookie issue. You destroyed the remaining cookies so they became inedible. And then you came here to work through the issue further. You didn't quit. And you didn't go on a multi-day binge.🙂2 -
I am writing the day after you started this thread - are you feeling better today?
I can't have Oreos in the house as I would do the same thing. So I just don't buy them. I don't miss them.2
