My tom cat, Denver. He does this thing with his eyes and facial expressions when he stares into my very soul and vocalises that he wants food. He hypnotizes me and he tilts his head as if to look even more cute, and in a clear attempt to manipulate me, and persuade me to put out more food (he's not even hungry) he will ramp his attempts up and hold the gaze while he half shuts his eyes and does the cutest cries, it's almost turned into a game lol.

Tonight i was very frustrated when I returned home from work he started following me (read *using his preferred method of bullying tactics*) and crying. I said in a raised voice, "oh stop it Denver, I'm not in the mood". And he literally stood there and started crying louder as if he was outshouting me, I played back of course and shouted again and he just let out a loud drawl as if to say, "im not backing down, you will listen to my demands woman". Needless to say I followed him downstairs and put out fresh food.

Yes my cat has me round his cat pinky and I obviously need to spend more time with hoomans. If I ever find myself single as an old lady I will be that cat lady with 40 cats.

It is futile to argue with kitties. Mine yells at me

A .38 Special song "Hold on loosely".
An Alan Jackson line, "Stark naked light bulb".

I can't quote any other Alan Jackson lyric, but that phrase encapsulates for me his profound talent at word art.

the lady who did my arm tattoo used to do taxidermy and was super into animals and she told me this long story during the tattoo session that comes back to haunt me a lot

she said there was a parasite that needed complete it’s life cycle in kitty cats, but it started off in rats, so it created this chemical that made rats super attracted to kitties like the rats liked the kitties smell and wanted to be around them and felt affection for them

anyways it worked great and now the majority of kitties have encountered this parasite, and the majority of humans too. so like 60% of the population has been exposed to this parasite at some point in time and other than upset tummy or whatever, we dont know it. *but* the parasite does the same thing to us, makes us really love kitties like want to be around them and have affection for them. also the parasite messes with our brain a bit, making us more susceptible to mental illness like depression and anxiety and even schizophrenia.

she told me all this and got to that last part around the time she was doing my wrist, which was the most pain, and it pavlov’d me somehow with an association so i look at that part of the flower sometimes and think “parasitic kitties cause depression” and tbh it makes me kinda unjustifiably mad at my cats

Please record all your stories. I love them.

Their website is still up and running btw. It's my homepage. 🙄

According to their website, notes from the Heaven's Gate hardbound edition is available in a German translation.

    Imagine my relief.

The "Jesus wept" moment from Hellraiser

When sinead o’connor shaved her head. I remember that vividly as a kid. I found it deeply haunting for some reason

She was so hot back then i wasn't into her back then but now its like she is amazing. Thanks YouTube.

But back to the question op posted.
For me it's song's like in your room by halestorm that touched me to tears. When i hear song that i haven't heard in year's or a movie it's just like wow

Certain scenes and cinematography do it for me. All of Mr. Robot basically, never has a style of TV been able to capture and embody anxiety on screen as well as that series.

Also, I’m in adoration of scenes with long cuts lately.

Sometimes books do it too. Particularly, philosophy. Which is also kind of dangerous in that it can render me in this state of existential dread and nearly get to a state of catatonia, but I can snap out of it.

I was reading some Jung lately and was just thinking to myself “How could this man be so astute in his observations about these intangible concepts and phenomena”. It perplexes the mind.

    Just check this out.

Amazing insights into our minds. Also terrifying

I’m fascinated by death too. Yes I know how scary that sounds but the whole paradox around fearing it is a mind bender.

    Old grave yards.

My first horse was a super steady dude, hardley ever spooked. There were these two old graves on a trail we used to ride, and he would never go anywhere near them. Freaked the heck out over them. It always freaked me out a bit.

The song, "Laffy Taffy". It's about candy but at the same time not about candy. It reminds me of a simpler time.

That reminds me of the "who let the dogs out" craze and we thought it was about dogs but it was really about ugly people.

I was also unaware of this

I thought the “dogs” were a group of young gentlemen out looking for beautiful young ladies to escort

I genuinely thought they were dogs :/

Me too! I guess I never cared to listen to the rest of the lyrics

I have stuck to this motto on a daily basis since I was a child.

    You look like her. Beautiful
