I need some help with breakfast ideas as H is not a fan of the usual yogurt/oats/fruits and such. So far Eggs, Sausages, Chickpeas are good. Anyone else thats not a fan of the above, any recommendations please.

Some savoury options I like.
Smashed Avocado with Salt & Pepper on Toast
Poached Eggs and Spinach with Pancetta on a toasted muffin
Omelette with cheese, peppers and onions I normally drizzle mine with mustard
Savoury oats (Garlic, Cheese & Basil)
But really to be honest he can eat anything he wants for breakfast or not eat it at all. What would he normally have for breakfast?

My go to breakfast is as follows:
2 oz air roasted potatoes (home fries)
1or 2 links of turkey sausage
Sautéed peppers and onion (from frozen bag)
1 egg +1 white scrambled
I make 5 of these every Sunday for breakfast for the week 245 or so calories10 -
Fave breakfast ever.
Multigrain toast topped with avocado and eggs over easy, with a side of berries.10 -

My go to breakfast is 3/4 cup of low fat cottage cheese, a cup of strawberries, a cup of raspberries, and a little orange honey.7

My breakfast lately is to sauté spinach, scramble two eggs in it and top with feta cheese.7

Favorite breakfast, soft boiled egg on a toasted light English muffin, topped with 1/4 tsp of chia seeds. Sometimes with Canadian bacon, the slices fit so nicely on an English muffin. Second fav is scrambled egg with onions, bell peppers, Parmesan cheese. Side of Dave’s Killer 21 whole grain thin sliced bread toasted.2

I've been doing an avocado spread on dave's killer bread (the whole wheat thing slice). The spread is super simple, one whole avocado, a tbs of garlic, a tbs lemon juice, and a tbs of olive oil. Just mix it up and spread of your toast throughout the week. Along with a simple shake for me!4

Try a shakshouka or huevos racheros recipe, they're great and you can chuck in whatever veg/tinned beans etc you have and spice it up if you want.
Also love a frittata with whatever veg/meat/herbs3 -
Egg souffle muffins. Mix a couple of eggs with a little milk and add a teaspoon of grated parmesan. Pour into a muffin tin - small is best, the sort that make 2 to 3 inch diameter muffins - half filling the tins. Chop a spring onion and a small amount of ham, chicken or vegetarian equivalent. Add the onion and meat to the egg mix in the muffin tins....it will sink into the egg, but that's fine. Bake at 180c in the oven for 10 to 15 mins or until the egg has risen and springs back when touched. Turn out...you may need a teaspoon to help get them out and eat immediately.1

I literally just pulled something similar out of the oven. I've done both mini and reg sized "egg muffins." Today I started with two slices on pepperoni on bottom and a third of a cheese stick. Measures out to be just under one egg per muffin for me, then added a few drops of bbq sauce. Have made these with about a third of a strip of bacon per muffin, also with some peppers, can change seasonings and ingredients. Doing Keto, but even if not, calorie count is low. Need to add, I don't mind cold eggs, so I usually don't even heat them up.2 -
Cup of Dates, tin of chickpeas, 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder, half cup of oats, half cup coconut flour, mix and add milk till its thick then bake for 20 mins at 200 👍 makes about 6 big squares3

cold spaghetti and meat sauce ...(i'm not eating that, but it sure sounds good for breakfast!)
My choice is usually fruit and avocado on toast with boiled egg or over easy egg1 -
I like to have meat and a little vegetable - salad usually - for my first meal of the day. Someone else already mentioned leftovers and it's usually leftover meat from dinner the night before. You don't have to stick with the options food manufacturers tell you to eat.
I don't eat many typical breakfast foods other than eggs. Starting the day with sweet and carb heavy foods leads to me overeating all day long. I try to save all the yummy carbs until the last meal and snack.
Adding my own favorite egg muffin - soy chorizo sauteed with pepper and onion then put into the muffin cups, a sprinkle of cheddar then the scrambled egg poured over then bake until done. I make a big batch and freeze it then pop out a couple to reheat. They end up really low calorie. They are good in a toasted English muffin0 -
Because it’s been hot, I’ve been making overnight oats with chia seeds, Greek yogurt, cashew milk, cinnamon, and a dash of maple syrup. In the morning I’ll add a giant handful of blueberries and some slivered almonds. To change it up, I’ve added shredded carrots, nutmeg, and almonds. I’ve also added a small amount of cocoa powder.2

When the weather is cooler I like to make these egg cups.
Spray muffin tin, lay one or two slices of thinly sliced ham. Crack an egg into each cup that you have lined. Sprinkle with salt & pepper and any other herbs you like.
Bake 400 about 15 min., depending on how you like your eggs. Serve with a toasted multi grain English muffin.1 -

My favourite go to is protein pancakes!
2 eggs
1/2 banana mashed
1 tbsp LSA mix or almond meal
1 tsp cinnamon
(I sometimes add vanilla pea protein powder)
And then top it with:
1 tbsp of almond or peanut butter
1/2 cup of berries
The left over of the banana
I really recommend this to any pancake lovers... it is seriously delicious!!2 -
Hummus on toast. Sprinkle with hemp hearts, everything bagel seasonings, green onions, feta, cherry tomatoes....voila0

Thinking outside the box - Breakfast doesnt have to be just "breakfast" foods. A good source of protein and some fiber is all you need. Chicken salad with apples, tuna salad with veggies, even the occasional dinner leftovers (maybe a smaller portion than what would be had at dinner). Really anything would work.2

1/4 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup of water
1/4 cup of soy milk
1 tsp chia seeds

Bread is far more satiating for me, breakfast wise, than anything else. That doesn't mean I won't eat fruit, but if I don't want to be very hungry between the time I eat breakfast and my typical lunch time, then there need to be carbs in the form of bread. Bob's Red Mill's 5 grain hot cereal is a surprising second (surprising given that oats of any type of processing are not satiating for me on their own).
Never mind that, by weight, you aren't getting the same amount of nutrients if you compare cantaloupe to the 5 grain cereal I mentioned above. Sure cantaloupe significantly less calorie dense, but for 35g of cantaloupe (the same as one serving of the cereal - I eat two servings) less than half a gram of protein and less than half a gram of fiber.
The data for the cantaloupe is here and the cereal is here. Plus, 240 calories for breakfast, not including the 1 tbsp of maple syrup I tend to add, is really not very much.1 -
This morning I had an egg white and turkey bacon sandwich on a multi grain english muffin. Also threw some baby spinach on it.0

I meal prep and I make 5 of these on Sundays to have for the work week.
If you’re going to make daily, make the night before because they should sit in refrigerator so the oats can absorb some of the almond milk.
In a mason jar:
Half cup rolled oats
Half cup almond milk
Half a banana, sliced,
1 tbsp natural peanut butter
1 tsp honey
Yes, you eat it cold and with a spoon.
It’s delicious. Under 300 cal. And keeps me full for 4 hours.1
