08/31: 137.4 lbs - I've got a head cold and am not eating much.
09/01: DNW
09/02: 135.6 lbs - Probably dehydrated and still not eating much. This will most likely go back up a little but this is my favorite number, it comes around every now and then to get me excited but it never sticks around. Yet .
09/03: 136.6 lbs - Still resting my body, no working out for me for a few days, maybe the whole week. The kids start back to school this week, it's going to be a zoo figuring out the new schedules. Going to eat well and get lots of rest.

GOALS
Halfway GW: 140.4 (-17.4) <<achieved!>>
UGW: 123
GW this round: 128.2-129.2 lbs
Day/Weight/Comment
08/31 128.4 I'm under a lot of stress and not feeling well. Feeling highly ambivalent about my journey, which is scary. This is what happens to people in maintenance if they're not careful! I'm close enough to goal that I'm slipping in my hard-earned habits simply because I feel mostly good about how I look- tons better, anyway. I need to refocus, come up with some new goals.
09/01 128.4 Going on vacation, and still feeling meh. I should probably take a diet break (did this before by calculating maintenance calories and it worked out well), but... I have a feeling I'm going to come back heavier.
09/02 DNW, on vacation
09/03 130.6 Maybe I needed to go this far- back upward enough (+2.2 lbs and back in the 130s) that I can see the lost progress- in order to get my head back into it. And...THIS is why this challenge works, THIS is why we weigh every day, right, folks? We can catch ourselves mid-fall instead of when we're all the way on the ground, wondering how that 10, 15, 30 lbs creeped up on us. Motivated again!

Round 87 was a mess. I have done better the last two or three days and I found out from the doctor that I just need patience and time for my hip to heal there isn’t a lot she can do and physio won’t help.
Day/Weight/Comment
08/31 - 184.0 - had a fairly decent day yesterday. Did eat more than my allotted calories but still in maintenance.
Sept 1 - 184.0 - a little surprised as we had an appetizer selection supper last night and it was all high sodium.
Sept 2 - 187.0 - there it is, I knew I couldn’t have eaten all that sodium enriched food without it showing on the scale.
Sept 3 - 185.8 - need to keep up with the water today.

Round 88 GW: 198
GW: 140
08/31: 203.4(This is my first round. As long as I’ve had MFP on my phone, this is my first week speaking in forums. I’ve been tracking this time for almost a week. Squats and walking 3 miles each day for 10 days. I’ll find my rhythm soon.
09/01: 201.8 I’m not sure what I did to lose. I went over calories by 85 calories and I didn’t walk my 3 miles yesterday. I did get on the elliptical for 20 minutes but nothing intense. I believe I’ve been building muscle walking on incline and doing squats. Muscle does weigh more than fat so maybe after 11 days of walking/squats my body is finally showing me some results. I did start walking around the same time I started logging calories so I wasn’t seeing any movement or it would go down 2lbs for a day and then go back up 2 days later. I did watch my carbs yesterday and I drank 96 oz water.
09/02: 201
09/03: 203 I missed two days at the gym back-to-back. I couldn’t use my app for a couple of hours yesterday and by the time my phone was working again my calories took a hit. I finished my carb heavy/ calorie heavy brunch and didn’t realize the damage while I was enjoying my meal. No worries ... as I’m back on track today with the walking and calorie tracking.

Goal for this round: 224.4 (to get below R85 "low")
Day/Weight/Comment
8/31: 224.0 (-1.6)/18.9 (-0.2). A reward from heaven because I finally went to the gym? I went out to dinner with my wife, and split a sandwich with her. It was relatively healthy, but my willingness to portion control was what made my night a success.
9/1: 225.6 (+1.6)/19.1 (+0.2). I did my best last night with what I could regarding food (quality/quantity), at least as much as I could while out at a restaurant I love. It's likely my previous weigh-in was a slight exaggeration (weighed late) and that it was affected by me working out the night before. I'm going to the gym this morning, and I'm going to try my best to keep things under control today (wife's birthday party). If I have alcohol, it will be in the form of a mixed drink or two (spirit + diet soda). Going to the gym this morning (right now) to try to give myself a little wiggle room tonight. Oh, and to get myself into good habits! :-)
9/2: 225.6 (0.0)/19.1 (0.0). I went to bed late last night and got up late this morning, so this number is potentially a little bit under what it should be. I did pretty well yesterday at my wife's birthday party; I planned out what I was going to eat before I ate it (for the most part). I had one beer, but other than that it was all spirits + diet soda. I couldn't resist a tiny slice of the best carrot cake I have ever had (homemade by my sister-in-law). I also hit the gym before going to the party, which made it twice in three days that I made it there. I think I can sustain three times per week: Friday (with my wife), Sunday, and Tuesday, with basketball starting up this coming Saturday. I'll shoot for three times times at the gym, but I'll feel successful even if I can make it twice per week. Coming out of the weekend (particularly given two celebrations for wife's B-Day) still at my starting weight for the round feels like a pretty significant accomplishment.
9/3: 226.0 (+0.4)/19.1 (0.0). This is probably the right number, and not bad for the weekend I just had. I'm feeling okay right now, but this is going to be a stressful week. Trying to stay focused...

@untrachelable David’s Bridal has a huge selection of styles and a vast amount of sizes since they are a chain. I would recommend going to David’s Bridal just to obtain a canvas for finding 1-3 dress styles (I.e. mermaid, drop waist, full skirt, etc) that you like and work with your body. I started there when I was wedding dress shopping. I then used that knowledge to readily find a dress at other stores. I was able to call around and ask about inventory & sizes for styles I liked online. Don’t be afraid of looking online once you know what style you want. Also, don’t be afraid to ask a store to obtain a sample in a larger size.7

09/02: 223.1 Starting a little late in this round, but I've got to get serious about losing this weight. This is my 6th round with this group and I'm weighing more than I did the 1st round. 😢
09/03: 223.9 I ate better yesterday and was not expecting this gain. Will try to get in more steps today.11 -
Round 88 – August 31 to September 9
Female, 5’, 66 years. Fall always seems more like the beginning of a new year for me than Jan.1. Summer is pretty much finished and time to plan what I’ll be involved in for the winter. So I looked back over the last year to see how my weight ups and downs had gone. It’s pretty obvious: stress = weight gain, increased activity = weight loss, for me. I’m not ready to go back to the gym till October but goal this round will be to add exercises at home + more yard work (want to be finished with that so much that I can almost taste it – but just have to keep plugging). Other goals – finish log each day, only yogurt or fruit in the evening and nothing after 9 p.m. SW – 162.4, GW – 161.4, UGW – 140. (This really should be 125 or 130 but that seems like such a long ways to go and 140 would be a huge improvement.)
Day/Weight/Comment
08/31 – 162.6
09/01 – 162.6
09/02 – 162.8 – Relax day yesterday and did not manage to track or exercise but ate fairly reasonably. Today is already better – made myself do some exercises before breakfast, seems that is the only way to get them in, and decided to make that my habit goal. It seems the only way to keep my waistline from “relaxing outward” is exercise that area. Otherwise my posture goes and waist is bigger even if my weight is the same and I’m getting other exercise like walking.
09/03 – 162.6 Pretty good day for calories but sadly did not log all. No LNS though, even though I was tempted. Ten min. stretching exercises but not abs. Three hours yard work.

08/30 …..193.6….. ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND
08/31 …..192.6 LOSS ….. I’ve changed my color code system. Happy fuchsia is a loss on the scale, sad blue is a gain. I’m so happy & grateful for this loss today. I am going to be traveling on a day trip today. Bad timing since I’ve been on a roll. I will try to be mindful. I have already taken a short walk this morning before I leave & I will take a longer one tonight when I get home. I will try to be mindful of my diet with NO DESSERTS. Yesterday’s stats: 1070 Calories In / 2752 Calories Out. 22 Net Carbs. 13,387 Total Steps & 5.66 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. I slept 4 hours & 1 minute. I cleaned my own home at moderate pace for 77 minutes & I walked at moderate 3.0 mile pace for 67 minutes. Total extra calorie burn was 665. Good luck everyone on this round! Lets reach our personal goals 10 days at a time…..
09/01 …..192.6 ….. I had a day trip yesterday so not as much movement as I would have liked. No change on the scale. Happy for that as I did have a dish of sherbet yesterday with a travel friend. Yesterday’s stats: 1526 Calories In / 2666 Calories Out. 63 Net Carbs. 14,887 Total Steps & 6.3 Total Miles. 11/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept a wonderful 6 hours & 49 minutes! Woo Hoo! That is so much better than my usual. I fit in a 17 minute walk before my day trip out of town and I got in another 74 minutes of a brisk walk finishing just before dark. I also got in 109 minutes of misc. housework & etc last night. Total calorie burn was 931. I hope all the USA is enjoying the beautiful Labor Day Weekend, and that all others are having a lovely Sunday!
09/02 …..194.2 ….. Holiday weekends are not good for me! Even when my calories are very low & my carbs reasonable , even if a touch too high. Yesterday’s stats: 885 Calories In (and I gained?) 1771 Calories Out. 42 Net Carbs of mainly friendly veggies. 17,771 Total Steps & 7.73 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours. Charged fitbit so not sure of exact sleep hours but it was slightly over 5 hours. I rigorously cleaned tourist cabins for 45 minutes, did yard work for 36 minutes & walked at moderate pace for 62 minutes. Total extra calorie burn was 803 Calories. Happy Labor Day to all US Citz’s.
09/03 …..194.8 ….. I obviously enjoyed a very nice holiday but I am still struggling with my fitbit which says it is trying to pair with a Bluetooth item that is just not existing in or around my PC. Nothing nearby has changed. On the phone with fitbit last night, worked finally for a bit, and now today it is doing the same thing! Picnic yesterday killed me and my stats as best known are as follows: 2774 Calories In / 3102 Calories Out. 178 Carbs. 17,528 Total Steps & 7.53 Total Miles. 13/13 Fitbit Step Hours & I slept 6 hours & 7 minutes. I walked at 3.0 mph moderate pace for 46 minutes and rigorously cleaned tourist cabins at check-out for 180 minutes. Total extra calorie burn was 1149. Getting back on track today. The self-sabotage stops here and it stops now!

08/31: 206.8 same as yesterday but I'm okay with that! Hopefully this round will be as successful as the last!
09/01: 206.8 day 3 of the same weight! I am definitely not complaining considering it's a long weekend here in Canada and weekends aren't usually the best for my eating habits. I do try and stick within my maintenance calories at the very least but I'm doing pretty well so far this weekend Usually I would've gained a couple of lbs in water today lol.
09/02: 206.5 I still can't believe I haven't had any water gains. I stayed within my calorie goals yesterday but my calorie goal is set at 1670; I usually try to stay around 1400 per day during the week. I'm going to kill it this week (after today) haha!
09/03: 206.5 I don't think my weight has ever been this consistent lol. I'm hoping for a decent loss tomorrow ;D I ate McDonald's yesterday and still managed to stay well within my calorie goal.

9/3 - 184 - Back up to my weight a year ago. I consider that not bad after 4 months of 2 rounds of high cortisol stress and stepping down from it by feeding it a little each day. Navigated through a couple of summer birthdays successfully too, including my own. I stopped reading EVERYTHING that was causing and keeping my cortisol elevated, from personal texts to internet forums. So, sorry that I haven't been around, but I have learned that sometimes the one to help is myself. Now, time to figure this out and continue on my weightloss journey. I seem to be stuck here and I have more reasons than carbs to correct. I haven't been exercising enough or getting quality sleep. Some days, not eating enough or drinking enough water. Extremely low calories work against my weight loss and so does excessive exercise, so I need a new plan. *I still do have good habits😊 I never stopped weighing myself or measuring and weighing my food.

08/31 - 123.4 :: was very active and unintentially ate far lower than my calorie limit because of being busy through out the day. Made healthy choices. Last round was slow progress. This is a kicker to start with.
09/01 - 124.4 :: last drop was surprising, seems numbers evened out. Over calorie limit by < 100 cals. Not very active. Ate healthy.
09/02 - 124.4 :: ate a bit higher than calorie limit, <50 cals. Decently active. Ate healthy. Breakfast choice of Sago was very calorific, be cautious next time.
09/03 - 123.6 :: Ate in calorie limit, ate planned snack and controlled portions. Not very active.

8/31: 197.8 (+/- 0) I didn’t think yesterday was horrible but I guess it wasn’t great. Weighed in today after my light breakfast. But not gaining is ok by me. Guess I’ll make this a 9 day challenge.
9/1: 199.0 (+1.2) well this challenge isn’t working so much so far. I did good all day yesterday. Even went to a wedding and didn’t eat. Ate McDonalds late but only half the food. Still early. Still hopeful
9/2: 198.2 (-.8) not to bad. Had a good workout yesterday. But ate a lot of junk food in small quantity. Mostly because I had a late lunch/ early dinner and was getting hungry. As long as it’s going down. Hopefully I can get back to my starting weight
9/3: 197.6 (-.6) yesterday wasn’t great but wasn’t horrible. Today is my daughters birthday and she’s requesting carb overload for birthday dinner. I’ll try to control myself. But sometimes there has to be risk to get a reward.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.
