    @quiltingjaine thanks for the tip! Yeah, hopefully just water retention. Also, I'm not sure what a DGD is but oh my gosh... 19g of carbs in a glass of wine? What was the wine? I've read in a few places that a dry red wine should have 1-2 g sugar, I track it as 6g sugar to be safe and don't have more than one glass a day. But if they really have 19g or somewhere in that range, that could explain a lot!

    Food -- Focus on healthy plant-based foods with some fish, chicken, & eggs. Avoid flour & added sugar.
    Exercise -- Aim for a 4-6 mile walk most days; weights either working in garden/house or at gym.

    First coat on the laundry room/furnace/hot water room — not the most fun I’ve ever had, but the sunshine yellow walls and beautiful turquoise door (painted a couple of weeks ago) make me happy. And happy women lose more weight and stay healthier! ;-) Have a lovely weekend, all.

    I baked up a storm yesterday — mini macaroons, salted caramel bars, and a spice cake — for a fundraiser tonight, and I’m proud to say I had only a teensy taste of each to be sure they were edible. My DH assures me they are. :-) I’m hoping there will be some veggies and/or fruit there as well! Salad for lunch, eggs for breakfast, so there’s that. Enjoy your Saturday!

    08/31 298.2 Interesting. I’m happy with this as it should mean that I’m staying on track with my plans. Yesterday I was hungry for no real reason, this happens to me near ovulation. However I didn’t expect that at higher calories it would still happen and it’s something that I’ll have to watch out for.

    09/01 300.4 Eep. It’s okay though I was high sodium and high carb and I didn’t have enough water.

    09/02 299.6 Better. I think the sugar, high carb, or something isn’t agreeing with me. I’ve limited sweets a lot over the last few months so several days of them has been a little much. Thankfully all the birthday cake is gone, but there will be more on Thursday for my daughter’s birthday. Next year I might split the recipe into two separate cakes rather than making two full cakes. Live and learn.

    09/03 301.0 I weighed late, but I’m not sure I would be a lot lower. I over ate a bit yesterday so I deserve this bounce up.

    09/04 301.6 One thing I’m trying during this break is some shifts to my breakfast and lunch. Yesterday they didn’t stay with me and I was starving at dinner time. I was in my calories, but it was a big meal. Needless to say I won’t be doing that again.

    09/05 303.2 One week down, one to go. I know how I’ve been eating so I know that most of this will go quickly once I restart.

    09/07 302.6 Oh that’s nice. It’s been a little rough seeing the higher numbers, but in addition to more carbs/food I also bounce up during this point in my cycle. Hopefully the next few days will continue to see the water retention go away.

    09/08 301.8 I’m happy to be continuing to drop the water weight. I have a few more days left of eating at maintenance and I have a few new plans in place and some new perspectives on my eating habits.

    09/09 299.6 I’m m so happy to see this number. I’m not sure that I have a lot of water weight left to drop, but I guess I’ll see over the next few days.
