batch cooking ideas?

My typical gift to new parents is an afternoon of batch cooking freezer meals. We have one befriended couple where the hubby enjoys cooking who have asked me to come back at 2 month intervals to do some batch cooking together.

I am started to run out of recipes in my repertoire that freeze well. My standards are coq au vin, dak dori tang, beef rendang, bolognaise sauce.

New ideas would be welcome.

    Chilli
Pretty much any curry with or without naan to accompany.
    Jambalaya
    Hearty soups
Make the bolognese up into lasagne as a bonus from one recipe
    Enchiladas

Choices are practically endless! All sorts of casseroles, bean dishes, rice dishes, Fresh pasta made up into ravioli etc, frozen uncooked. Make up basic Italian tomato sauce to accompany. Make up curry sauces that can be added to protein or veg for quick curry meals.

Gnocchi freeze incredibly well on a sheet pan (put them on parchment then transfer to a bag)
    Bolognese
Soups and stews of most types
Meat or vegetable pies (in containers that you're willing to freeze and are oven safe - freeze before baking then bake from frozen)
    Burritos (see this link)
    Tamales
    Pupusas
    Chicken tinga

Some of my favourite batch cookings items are:

Apple Breakfast Patties (my recipe is similar to this but I add 1/4 cup minced onion and I also mince the apple rather than shred.) I usually triple the recipe.

    Greek Green Beans

Shepherds Pie (I usually make Lentil Shepherds Pie)

Any stew, soups (Beef and barley or mushroom & barley are good hearty ones)

Now with fall beginning, soup., chili, stews.
I make a big batch every week and we have leftovers every day the following week. Most freeze well.

I am sure you’re efforts are greatly appreciated. So thoughtful.

I follow this channel on YT for bulk cooking ideas for friends, if I choose to help with weekly meals, only I would adjust ingredients to suit end diners. :)
