Chicken tenderloins.1 -
Unless you have a reason to reduce carbs, all that matters is total calories and protein as it works towards your goal, whatever that may be.
To that extent, you can use the chicken as you desire.8 -
If you are just wanting to limit carbs because you are looking at the Remaining line, don't worry about it - the important thing is your total calories.
That said, 100 g of raw spinach has 4 carbs.1 -
I just had a chicken Ceasar, 50g protein, 25 carbs, and that was with a few croutons and some avocado.2

You sound like me. I logged my food in advance for a chicken salad lunch place tomorrow and it almost ate all my calories for that one meal. My carb limit was gone with just the one lunch. Bummer. However, I was able to squeeze in one small 4 oz burger with mayo for dipping, but that's it. I know your post isn't about eating out, but it made me think of my own meal situation. Macros add up fast when you try to eat out somewhere and I have to watch my carbs for sure.1 -

In the future, if your macros are important to you, fill out your food diary a few days in advance. That eliminates problems like this at the end of the day. Good luck!2

Broccoli is abt 6g carbs per cup raw! (1/2 bag frozen is about 16 carbs). You could have chicken tenderloins and broccoli. You could make a stir fry or just grill/bake the tenderloins and serve it with broccoli on the side. There’s lots of low carb vegetables but I always keep broccoli on hand2

Rub the chicken in paprika, chili powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, whatever else you want. Wrap it in bacon. Cook in pan to start rendering/crisping then throw in 425 oven for about 30 minutes.0

I do limit my carbs because before I started monitoring macros, I wasn't losing even though I was at or under calories. I was eating far too many carbs.
As it turned out, hubby wanted to go out for dinner, and that threw me WAAAAYYYY over carbsEven though I just had shimp fajitas, without the tortilla. I had to guestimate how to record, so it probably wasn't accurate anyhow. But today I'm doing better, one day won't kill me, I know that much.

What you are saying is not possible. If you are in a calorie deficit you will lose weight even if you eat nothing but carbs. Your body requires a certain amount of energy to operate and allow you to move. If you supply it with less energy through food than it needs it absolutely must turn to stored energy (hopefully body fat) to meet the demand. This will result in weight loss but it does not regularly show up on the scale in a linear fashion.
When you reduce carbs you will also reduce water weight which results in the scale moving. Some people mistake this for carbs having been a roadblock to progress. If you have a long delay in losing (3+ weeks) you may have to tighten up your logging. If you assumed you had a problem prematurely you may just need to be more patient.6 -
Carbs matter. Just sayin...2

Carbs matter. Just sayin...
For me this is true. If I accidentally eat low carb, I have no energy and never feel full. My sweet spot is about 200g.
Plus, if I get less than 20g of fiber, I tend to stay hungry too (and my digestive system isn't happy), and it's easier to hit my fiber goal with lots of fruit and whole grains and beans.
But different foods work for different people, so that might not be what you meant. I know some folks do better with lower carb, even though that's not the way it works for me.
OP, glad you're doing better. Nailing down the right way to eat for you personally is definitely a learning process :drinker:8 -

if you are diabetic.
if you dont have a health condition which necessitates limiting carbs, they are just calories. generally higher in calories, which is why a low carb diet can result in weight loss. i dont limit my carbs at all and have lost 130 pounds.
if you are in calorie deficit, you will lose weight, no matter what the macro combination is. different combinations can have different effects on satiety and nutrition, however.5
