Savory pumpkin now...pumpkin ravioli in brown butter sauce.

A restaurant that used to be near me served butternut squash ravioli with a thin layer of bacon sauce. Unfortunately the place closed. BAH
Most places I've been that serve it use browned butter/crispy sage sauce.

I'm happy with a package of these:

    Childhood favorite!

I used to make them from the recipe Kay's Sandies in The New Basics Cookbook (sorry I could not find a link to the recipe). Basically flour, butter, brown sugar and white sugar. I had to stop myself from eating the dough before rolling them out and baking them. I used to bring them to work when I still worked in an office instead of at home.

I found an old crossword puzzle in my bag today, and on the front was an article and recipe for something from Philadelphia....

Cheesesteak cheesecake. Now I want one.

But I can skip the spray cheese.

I'm confused (don't worry, that happens a lot). What's wrong with them?

The proper way to do a chocolate chip cookie.

Ah. I do like my cookies on the chewier side, but I'd not be turning those first ones down provided the chocolate was good!

me as well...one is a just an 'excuse' to eat lots of chocolate in the disguise of a 'little' cookie and one is an actual one. OH and I'm SO down with those lemon poppyseed muffins...this thread is killing me...

I usually add a bit more sauce about 5 mins before I serve so it's warmed..
I'm going into town tomorrow to buy some beef ribs..

I imagined those as fluffy and soft on the inside but with a slight crunch on the outside. I don’t like dry chocolate chip cookies like chips ahoy. I like super soft ones or ones that are slightly crunchy but soft and gooey on the inside. I also always warm in the microwave so they are like a freshly baked cookie. 😊

One of the volunteers always brings home-made chocolate chip and oatmeal nut cookies to the aquarium for our dive shift. I always help myself. Their rule is nobody can leave until all the cookies are gone. I told them I couldn't do that; I'd eat 'em before I got to the aquarium. Pam shared a trick. As soon as they are cool, she bags 'em and puts 'em in the freezer. Then she pulls out what she brings to the aquarium and can avoid eating the rest. She brings two bags of each since they volunteer Mondays AND Tuesdays.
