took another garbage bag full of my 'fat' clothes to Goodwill. It is time to get rid of them.26

First, I know this is kind of a scale victory, but.... I got married and went on my honeymoon, came back two days ago and today, I weighed exactly the same as the day before my wedding. That means zero wedding or honeymoon gains, and a possibility of still having a little whoosh loss after the rest of the travel bloat goes away.
Then, the NSV: I had planned already during the honeymoon that I would spend this lovely Sunday resting, binge-watching RuPaul’s Drag Race S11 (which dropped on Netflix the day after my wedding, at least in my corner of the world) and eating nachos. I still intend to do that, but I actually felt like going on a run, so I started this binge-watching day by doing just that.
Running. On a pre-planned sofa day. Because I actually felt like running??
During my run, I realized breathing is kinda easy. There is nothing digging to my sides. Now I’m home, after running and stretching, and my sports bra is still on because the band isn’t stretched to the limit and making it super uncomfortable. These bras used to be so tight that the band was all the way stretched, digging to my sides and making deep breaths a resistance workout of its own. Now it feels more like a sports bra instead of a medieval torture device designed to remind fat people of the uncomforts of obesity during every minute of their attempts at working out.25 -
at my heaviest and most unhealthy point in my life (basically last 15 years), alcohol was my crutch and I couldn't face the world without it. When I started my WLJ last April, I quit alcohol cold turkey. The other night on a rare night out, I was at my favorite restaurant and realized it was the 1st time in 20 years eating there and being totally sober! My confidence level is incredible now!48

Absolutely love this post.
It's not just sports bras that are medieval torture devices . . . I hated all bras until I lost weight.

Garmin says I got 490 of my 150 activity minutes default goal this week (130 moderate minutes + ( 2 x 180 vigorous minutes)). The best part: All of it was from things that I thought were fun.21

Bought some new jeans at a consignment sale, size 25. I wore a 27 in high school (I've still worn them as shorts all summer, need a belt). I still need to shop ~4" off the bottom though, they are massively long. Can't do anything about my height!13

I cycled 10 miles today, in the rain. Wanted to quit after 2, but I didn't!33

Staying the course despite zero motivation and being exhausted. Even went for my walk. Begrudgingly, but went.31

I have been on MFP for about 12 weeks now. For the first time in probably a decade my wedding band fits!! (Must admit I had it sized up several years ago) Yet I know this is a sign I am doing the right thing!22

Here's one!
One a upon a time oh, I'd say in the weeks and months after I quit smoking nearly ten years ago, I'd taken to walking the entire perimeter of the apartment complexes where I live. Then over time that became harder and harder and I became less able and interested in doing it and eventually stopped altogether.😕 Today, once the Eagles game was over, I covered that exact route. I have returned! 😀23 -
Recently realized my waffles had more calories despite the recipe saying different. Three times more. Now I can adjust the amount of mix to prepare.17

I'm officially down 2 pants sizes! Dec 1, 2018, I was at my highest weight and found the stretchiest pair of 16s I could squeeze into because I didn't want to buy 18s, but that is what real size I was. On Saturday, I bought 2 new pairs of jeans in 14s and they fit comfortably I almost cried.
I wore them to the Miranda Lambert concert Saturday night and I was struttin!25 -

When my pants first started getting loose, I tried on an old belt I have and it didn't close around me. It was too short.
Now it closes with a solid two inches at the end. Which is good because as much as I hate belts... I really need one.17 -
I stopped myself from a massive Eating Binge today! This was the first time since I started last April that I was really tested. It all started when my sugar went low during exercise. I had to stop, eat two pieces of candy before finishing exercise. So it's really two NSV here. I could have quit exercising but pushed through. After exercise, I was still shaky and started eating ...and eating....measuring everything at least ...and stopped myself at almost 900 calories. This was all before 9:30 am too. in the past I would have never stopped until I was sick. PHEW! just thought I would share.40

I had to wear a belt because my size 14 capri were too lose, I used to wear a 22. first belt I have worn in a couple of decades. Went out to eat for my birthday and mentioned to my server that my diet was on hold today since I was celebrating, she snorted and said, like you need to diet, LOL. My entire life, and the rest of my life I need to "diet". Eat healthy.13

My upper chest/clavicle area is so flat and bony now. I'm still very slightly overweight. I can't believe how little fat is actually supposed to be in that area.16

Well done, @MelodiousMermaid . Motivation comes and goes, but discipline has got me on my feet many times. And I have learned this - I am always glad I did the workout when I am done.

For the first time in I don't how long, I walked for thirty continuous minutes. It was at the fitness center track.22

I've seen comments like yours several times here on MFP. People discovering their bones when they lost weight. I've done the same thing myself. "There were bones in there?" HAHA!7 -

What @alteredsteve175 said. As I think they say, it's less about motivation and more about developing habits, so well done. It's not about wanting to do it as much as it is about doing it, right?8 -
Now that my husband's Dr. refuses to do his hip replacement until he looses 25 lbs, I finally have a gym buddy. He's even listening to me when I make suggestions on what he should and should not eat. We had a very nice chicken, broccoli and carrot with a little shredded cheddar cheese dinner last night. He actually liked it. Now if I can just get him to switch from drinking soda to water. So my NSV is being able to help my husband with his life-style change.34

Yesterday, I had a couple of these iced, spiced buns which I usually only eat when I’m “messing up”. But I’ve been craving them for days, so I made room in my calorie goals and fit them in. They were delicious, the rest of the day went perfectly, and I woke up this morning feeling great, not sick or bloated. I love being able to eat whatever I want, so long as it fits in my calories.33

I started a cycle challenge to raise money for cancer research. I did some training in August at had to break it down to 3-4 mile stretches usually broken up with 8 hours rest or at least a greasy breakfast. This weekend I took a 27 miles ride to the coast and back which had some silly hills in it in less than 2 hours.22

Fitting into a chair with arms that has previously left welts on the sides of my legs! I fit comfortably and this was last week so am well pleased! Apparently chairs don't shrink when we aren't looking after all! What a revelation!19

Call from work at 1230 am so no more than 90 minutes of sleep. In the past, working all day after that would have included a lot of snacking for energy, mostly junk. Got through the day on calorie budget.
Ordered pants in a size I haven't worn for 15 years. Don't expect them to fit yet, but they will soon.16 -
I moved my weight lifting belt to the fifth hole. I've never used the fifth hole before! My weight isn't changing much, but my body composition has changed a lot in the last couple of months!19

I've had two:
Taking a bite of a cookie and realizing it wasnt worth it, so discarded it.
I hike a lot, and I used to have to take a ton of breaks, ESPECIALLY going up hill. Now, I cruise uphill with almost no problems and no breaks and can cruise through 4-6 miles with little to no breaks and can do as much as 8 miles with breaks. Working my way up to double digit miles!14 -
These are so great! I love reading your NSVs. I pull this thread every morning for inspiration. So oatmeal for breakfast instead of stopping for a sandwich.17

Buttoned up size 38 blue jeans for the first time in 3 years! Soon they might even be comfortable. . .24
