What is your "Petty" Reason to Lose Weight?

Old thread but I like it. My petty reason is that my mother is prettier than me, so I want to be skinnier than her. Shes winning right now.8

I don't lose my double chin until I'm sub 220...and I want to lose the beard, I e had it for 2.5 years.
I seriously think that reason and the fact that I want to compete at 100kg class are pretty much my only reasons at this point.7 -

Flat out... I want to look and feel good about myself. Some would consider that petty... I consider it keeping myself healthy, emotionally & physically.16

My petty reason was a hot new girlfriend who is really fit. . . I wanted to feel confident when she saw me naked . . . now that that relationship has died I have to be fit for ME . . . and for the next hot girlfriend. (: (and ok maybe a little to rub it in the face of the previous girlfriend ;/ )15

I have a lot of people who were truly cruel and inhuman to me back in middle/high school, so much so that I refuse to step into the town in which I was raised for half of my childhood. If any of those bullies ever see me again, I want them to think, "damn. She's hot AND looks like she's more successful than I am". With my weight where it is, I still can't even imagine stepping foot in that wretched place. Even when my Mama asks me to pick something up from the store when I visit her these days, I go 45 minutes away to the next town.
While not the biggest reason, there's definitely a petty/bitter part of me who wants to be able to stare down the people who hurt me and pull off a stare that communicates the Pretty Woman line of, "big mistake. Big. Huge." Before walking to my car and ignoring them for the rest of my life.24 -

I went through this too.. and unfortunately a bunch of them won't even remember tormenting you so you won't get the satisfaction of rubbing it in their faces. You'll probably just have to be satisfied with going in and looking better than them. You will get some compliments but apologies are unlikely.6 -
My "petty" motivation presently is I want to be noticeably smaller by Thanksgiving. They haven't seen me in months haven't posted much about my weight loss on social media for that reason as well14

I’m finally non-disabled enough to go back to work, and I got a job. I don’t want to be the fattest person in the office. I don’t really want to be the fattest woman either.21

My main reason is to feel and look healthy but...
I want to be skinnier than my ex's mum and sister who always made me feel like crap.
I want to be skinnier than my younger sister and look freaking amazing when I hit my 30th birthday in a few years.
Anyone feel free to add me, I've lost 15lb and am aiming to lose another 15!8 -
I just want to feel hot. No longer young, so trim is my new hot. Don’t mind saggy boobs and a few wrinkles, but nothing matches the confidence and pride that come from knowing I’m taking care of my body.17

Part of it's to get back to to the size I was when I knew I would never have to settle because I could have pretty well anyone I set my sites on.
Part of it is to to a physical representation of how much better I've become since leaving my ex.8 -

I ride a motorbike and I want to look hot in leathers, not like an over stuff sausage.
Also I don’t dress how I want to at the moment simple because The sizes don’t fit me, I want to be able to go into any shop and know I can fit into the clothes I want.11 -

Same! I don't wear leathers, but my first riding jacket was men's because I couldn't find a women's jacket that was big enough/long enough for me. I'm 6' with short hair, I looked like a man riding the bike.
This year, I bought a women's jacket. I have a shape! My hubby and I went to the store earlier in the season to pick them out, and the lady at the store commented on how I was swimming in my jacket, and had a blast trying all different styles/sizes on me. I was shocked at the size I ended up buying (in a good way).9 -
To fit back in to the clothes I grew out of! ( and then shrink out of them as I get to my actual goal. I got really close to a healthy weight 3 years ago but let it slip, quite a bit, in the order of 20+lb)5

I like feeling beautiful for myself.
There is no way to word this without being conceited, but I'm a union carpenter and a waitress and soon to be a bartender... so I'm constantly getting hit on, numbers, etc... and it's very uncomfortable mostly because I dont see my beauty for myself. And I want to re-create that space. I lost 77 lbs last year and felt beautiful. And then I regained 35 of it because I let the stress of living in a bad relationship take over... now I'm 8 lbs of that down and still going and so excited to start glowing again 💕16 -
Good for you!! Keep going! As a married mom of 5 I would love to get hit on/noticed once in awhile. That’s another petty reason for me.. I’d love to be noticed again!! 😉10

If they're having sex with you, they think you're hot and aren't worried about any of your "flaws." Don't worry gorgeous, you don't need to lose weight to give them a show!
I'm lifting my tail off for multiple reasons, but some of my petty reasons are looking athletic for the first time in my life, being able to wear hot/sexy outfits, and keeping up with my sister/friends who are all in fantastic shape. I was always the "fat" one, and that is no longer the case. I also feel like I have to keep up with my husband who is easily the most attractive man of all our friends/family. I want to look like I belong by his side.7 -

Like most things, there's a happy medium. A K cup? Not a good amount of boob. For one thing, it's impossible to find shirts that fit. For another, my back hurts.8
